What are there flaming file folders in the far left column? Why are some of them red, and some just normal color with flames? Or is that my imagination? And some are have plain file folders.
Why are a few of the icons in the 2nd from left column smiley faces and other things, while most of them just look like sheets of paper?

Dayeanu, The file folders indicates how busy (or "hot") a particular thread (or topic) may be. Thread activity icons Plain file folders (no flames) are threads that have less than 15 responses. The yellow flaming file folders are threads with more than 15 responses The red flaming file folders (yes, you are seeing them!) are threads with more than 25 responses The icons in the second from the left column are message icons. Anyone who writes a message can pick from a number of little icons in a drop down box above the formatting tags (bold, italic, underline, etc). If you don't pick one, it displays the standard message icon, which is (you guessed it) a sheet of paper. Message icons Standard Thumbs up Thumbs down Exclamation point Question mark Lamp Smiley Angry Cheesy Laugh Sad Wink Hope that clears up that little mystery for you!
