I finished the last of my yearly female doctor appts today! I would have finished in March had the world not shut down.
I did have one appointment added - I have to meet with a surgeon to remove a growth in my neck. My doctor was supposed to make the referral but I have not heard anything yet. I have my first tele/video/appt with this doctor on Monday so hopefully I will hear more.
The only thing hanging is the dental appointment......UGH

A couple of things done...
I figured out what questions to ask about the medical insurance, and have my questions ready for Monday. I don't like phone calls! Pretty sure this will lead to a few more follow-up calls, but at least I've started.
Checked the message from the doctor and it was what I thought it was. Don't plan to schedule this particular test this year.

I can't believe I forgot this! Money is going down the drain because I put my daughter on my auto insurance last fall. It was supposed to be temporary! Not needed anymore, and I don't want to do the multiplication to figure out how many 100s of dollars I've wasted. I'll take care of it tomorrow or Monday. Wish I could make the change retroactive.

I had to cancel today's tire appointment because I could not find the three-season ones to swap out! Not in the garage, not at my friend's place (she's stored them before). Finally remembered--they're in my storage unit in my previous town.
The slightly good news is that I discovered this last night and not at the last minute because I had "put tires in car" on yesterday's calendar. Much more organized than usual.

this thread is insiring! great job making and keeping appointments around a pandemic - or postponing as needed, everyone!
since my little TIA event, which forced me to the hospital and to change my primary care provider to someone much better, i have made (and postponed and re-made) an appointment for an Echo and carotid ultrasound, which i did last week. i even made a tire appointment with Les Schwab - which is a mere 3 blocks from the hospital, and they replaced the two front dangerously bald tires on my ancient car! this all required a ferry trip but since i was on a transportation voucher i was able to get the ferry ticket for free - just had to call! my car is safer and i did the required follow-up tests needed for now - yaaay!
i also got a new therapist - it's been two years since the last one. i was looking for help with hoarding - there is none so i ended up in therapy because i live on a remote island and that's what there is for people on medicaid. she is probably 40 years younger than me and we have had an intake appointment. i wanted to bail right away and missed an appointment, and have had a few phone chats with her. i have decided to face the resistance i feel and "submit to the process" - she is very sweet, fresh out of school and has been so willing to stick with someone as challenging as i am - so we have come up with a treatment plan for anxiety. i am starting with half hr sessions this week. the bummer is, they never stay. medicaid healthcare workers are never paid adequately. but i will enjoy what time we have.
next steps:
i broke a tooth at the beginning of quarantine and never made an appointment because i have no money to pay for it. the dentist is seeing people again so i need to make an appointment or at least see if he will give me an estimate for a buildup. i'm not hopeful. tooth is in bad shape. i'm getting closer and closer to dentures, which means mass tooth pulling. there is so much mercury in my mouth i'm not sure i would survive it with the new heart-stroke issues. but i'll make the appointment and see what the bad news is.
i am so glad this thread is still up and running; have you thought about just making it ONGOING, sidestep? i know i could use the ongoing support!
covid-19 is re-surging in many states and countries, folks. now is the time to face those appointments - and please be safe out there!!!

Tonight scheduled for a webinar on cancer June 25 dread a video appointment with oncologist, did get records to her office via medical records and my own scanner, and tested video camera/mic on laptop Why do I dislike appointment related committments so much? I don't have a problem with deadlines.

One bit of progress tires located, put in car, and ready for next week's rescheduled appointment
One large chunk of procrastination did not call about medical insurance, in spite of writing down my questions
One bit of unresolved business called auto insurance agent to drop my daughter from coverage--needs more discussion w/ daughter and agent

Calendar says Goldie Kitty should go to low cost clinic tomorrow. Spent too much time in town looking for Special chiggar medicine for myself today. Then located online it is at a local hospital pharmacy that opens early tomorrow. Goldie may have to wait for still another appointment. Also waiting for call back re another CT scan. 2 months overdue.

In my case, I hate making appointments, having tradespeople in or attending appointments as they really ratchet up my anxiety. Nevertheless, I've delayed long enough & it's got to be done. I'll return to this post & edit in as things get scheduled/done by Wed. Sept. 30, 2020. ~(Edited from 1st page.)~ New Medical Appt.-3/26/20= 1st Available --Nope, cancelled due to covid.--Will be telephone visit only week of 4/27/20. Nope, now back on for Wed. 5/27/20. -- DONE Procedure-- Need to research-- --Need to schedule soon --Need to schedule pre-procedure stuff ~~ July? ~~ Dentist: TBA--Soon, Hmm, Sign Has Newbie's Name . . . (No, postponing this more due to house repairs needed.) A/C: TBA--Hmm, May PostPone This, Pricier, More Important Stuff Takes Precedence . . .(It acted weird & "blowy" last p.m. during high heat & humidity so A/C check should be done before breakdown/roasting.) Roof Repair/Patch: End of April rain has increased water stained area. Tax: By Wed. June 24, if I'm good. Nope, aim for Wed. 7/1/20? DONE!(Must be done before Wed. 7/15/20.) Grr, I'm Not Liking These Appts. Multiplying As Soon As I Can Make Them! ~~~ creativechaos, as a nod to you & since I've still got too many irons in the fire along with increased stress resulting in further procrastination, I'll extend this Appointment Challenge to Wed. Sept. 30, 2020. (I need to strive to reach deadlines!) Thanks to all participants & continued good wishes to all!
