that my task for this month in trying to get my life in order is to do: one thing that brings me joy, and one thing that is an achievement, each day. That's of course on top of work and family commitments. I thought about it and figured that I've probably been putting too many things on my to do list each day, and then feeling defeated when not very much of it gets done. The feelings of defeat make it really hard to get motivated to do something the next day.
So, with that in mind, here's my list for today
- prep for work DONE - joy = finish the fingerless gloves I am making for a friend DONE - achievement = clear off the surfaces in the family room HALF DONE - make a proper dinner for my family: we ended up having fend for yourself night - go to work: had to take my dad to the doctor and therefore reschedule work

That sounds good, Pugglemum! I think so often we put too much on a list and overwhelm ourselves. And overwhelm is always the enemy of progress!

pugglemom I am afraid to ask for the recipe cause I think that would lead me far far astray of 'low carb' but please share the basics? ... I am imagining sweet caramel oozing out of the middle of a delicious white cake with ice cream layers... how far off am I?

HAHA - I made a banana cake too for DH's Pawther's Day . That caramel cake does sound delish!! One of the old fashioned recipes DM used to do for company involved crushed Oreos, ice cream, hot fudge and cool whip - a good MidWestern church recipe . Dangerously good!

It's a packet mix from an Australian made and owned company called Green's.
