goldenthreads, it was a valid point. You're probably right. I think perhaps I need to allow myself fun sewing. It's on the plan, but I still think no fun till chores are done. That works for children who have finite tasks, if the parents are reasonable people. But it doesn't work for adults, there's always more to do. Sunday, I putzed around, did some laundry, emptied, ran the DW, then packed for city, spent Sun night with DD, Monday had a medical procedure I wasn't allowed to drive after, Mon night with DD, drove straight to work Tues. Tues/Wed pretty much nothing. This procedure was a repeat of one I had in June. June was a piece of cake, I slept through it, and had no pain after. This one, I did not sleep. And I'm still in considerable discomfort. A friend came over last night to take the tape off my back and remove any sticky residue. My house is a wreck. Two weekends being gone, manalive! sigh. I had ordered some circular knitting needles. Not happy with the quality, but should have expected what I got from the price. I have knitted about 1" of two sock toes. Sun C-6 D-1 Mon, at DD's E-well, it was sewing I dont know about Enjoy or Express myself. I hemmed a stack of 10 of the youngest child's jeans & pjs, about 6 hours work. Tues E-knitting Wed E-knitting Thurs TaDa C-6 tiny tidies

O well, bits and pieces add up. Your prep work on the ingredients that the two dishes have in common is very efficient. I have not tried that hack before. I do put together dry seasoning mixes for dishes that I make frequently, and then just season to taste without resorting to a recipe.

I have seriously back slid Hey Mouseanne? Love you girl. But I have seriously back slid too. How can we help each other? I want to help each other. I am struggling with not being sad all the time - but the house and it's back sliding just make me sadder. Can we help each other? I'll check back tomorrow to see if you have any thoughts... or challenges. Here's all the love and strength I can muster to you... (your thread or mine, I don't give a flying crud... let's just get stuff done.)

skatters, aww, sweetie, thank you so much for your kindness. Love you, too! I had a long conversation with my brother Sunday, over an hour. We don't talk much, so it was a treat. He's struggling, too. So, we leaned on each other & shared, and split the trouble. Then, I had a long conversation with a dear friend, previously a relative nearly 3-1/2 hours. we were married to relatives, until my divorce. I mainly sat on the two weekend days. I also knitted on the socks. First pair, ever, and are several stitches too big, but snug down just fine when pulled on a little bit. I'm ready to turn the heel, so stopped. Need to re watch a turn the heel on YouTube. I have a short list to do tonight after work. Do you want to work here? I don't care which thread, either. Do you want to talk on the phone a couple of times, or will that slow you down? My list won't help the goat trails, but it's cook supper, a bit of laundry, a bit of mending (popped zipper threads on my one & only black skirt, which I dearly miss), and possibly, take down old and put up new window hardware, one window, living room. Supper's possibly lasagna, so there's bake time. Sun TaDa C scrubbed the soaking bits & ran the dishwasher Monday TaDa F packed lunch C hand washed vintage pot, 2 vintage utensils, 1 good knife

Sun TaDa C Gather K linens Drying rags Steam washing K linens Put away 3 lunch pails
Bulk store shopping: I had done this, shortly after I shopped, recd ordered health hook, I'm trying a cleanse, elimination diet for 30 days, bought pantry staples not on plan. I'd put away the light layer from the paper groc bags, had 8 or so bags in K with staples in bottom.
Dining room, restack hardware boxes Put two flats of cans under table Fill empty lidded box with staples, in dining room stack
Meanwhile I'd had a mouse, so I can't keep the paper bags Fold them and 3 other boxes into flat cardboard recycling
F-late bfast
Hmm, it felt like way more than this.
ToDo Stove top Empty DW Load, run
