Normal weekend here, but jumping in here for a bit. Someone just rang my doorbell and caused me lot of anxiety. I had just gotten out from shower, hadn't dressed yet, nor done any other "make myself presentable" tasks, and my home was also messy. It was 6 PM. I didn't open the door, but my heart just doesn't stop racing.
My weekend hasn't been productive, but I have rested, slept a lot, and did some fun things. However, as much as I'd like to continue like this untill Monday morning, I do need to tackle some things.
I just swished and swiped the bathroom. Now I am folding air dried laundry and putting them away. Then I'll need to vacuum cleam my suitcase, and pack it away. There is some spot cleaning to do, trash to take out, few dishes to wash. And a simple manicure to do.

Well done OnTheMend, for S & S the bathroom. Good luck with the rest of your tasks.
I have filled 3 bin bags to add to the others, ready to put in the skip tonight.
On to more bag filling! Aiming for one, hoping for 2.

Hello Sapphire! Wow, good luck getting everything out that you want to be out! I wouldn't worry about people seeing you, after all, I'm sure they already see the dumpster!
Since this subject comes up often, I wanted to mention something that occurred to me last week. We put our garbage cans out at the curb once a week for pickup, so people see everyone's cans. Sometimes people pile things next to the can too. There's a family across the street that always has their cans (regular garbage can plus an extra one) overloaded with garbage, plus every few weeks they have things next to the cans too. I saw this again last week, just like I've been seeing for a year--and it finally occurred to me that even though I sometimes think, wow, they have a lot of garbage--I never once thought about their house, or how it looked. And I'm aware of messy homes because I have one.
So, I don't think that people think it's bad to see someone carrying out a lot of garbage--if you think about it logically, if the garbage is going out, then it's not in the person's home. If I never saw anyone take out any garbage at all, then I would wonder.
There's an elderly man across the street who, for the first couple of months of my living here, never put the recycling can out, just the garbage can. And I thought, that's terrible, you're not recycling? But he is elderly and moves slowly, so I thought it might be too hard for him to separate things and carry out two cans. But then after a couple of months, he put the recycling can out, and continues to do so every month or two--so, I think he lives alone, and probably doesn't accumulate much recycling (unlike me!). So, why put the can out if it's not full? I felt a lot better about him. So, yeah, I wonder when there's NO can going out, but I never think anything is amiss when I see a lot of garbage--it's going out where it belongs, in the garbage!
Next:
Take dog out and feed her Clean birdbath and water bowl Take recycling outside Put dry dishes away

Thank you, good to your tasks too!
I also have trash bags ready to go, I'll just need to collaps few cardboard boxes and get all the smaller sized cardboar recyclables, then they are all ready to be taken out.
I folded and out away all clean laundry, and folded and put away the drying rack too.
Vacuum cleaner is ready, I will quickly vacuum my suitcase and then put that away.
I have started spot cleaning, it shouldn't take long till it's done.
I need to wash my teeth yet, but otherwise I am presentable.

Thanks Diane. I know what you are saying is true, but I just find it hard. I'm just very anxious and self conscious. Also, some of the bags are very full, and I'd have to open the front door wide! So people could see in. Hope you enjoyed your dog walk. OnTheMend, you are powering through! Go you! Have you been away? Hence the suitcase cleaning? I have filled another 2 bin bags. I am having to grant myself amnesty as I have board games, toys and children's books going in! But I don't drive and since Covid, charities haven't been collecting donations. And I don't have time or mental space to advertise them online. No, I will stop making excuses! I am just throwing them away because I HAVE to!! I have put a few things aside for my neighbour/friend's granddaughter, so that makes me feel a little better. Next up: fill another bin bag and try to take one out! (With Diane behind me! )

Yes I was away for 5 days, and finally I got all the stuff put away.
I took all the trash and cardboard out. Called a friend. Next I'll do a quick vacuuming, and wash dishes, and straighten a bit. I need to caal a repeair person tomorrow, and I want to feel comfortable right from the morning.

Quick vacuuming done! Floors + sofa. I'd love to wipe the areas around area rugs, and I know it'd not take long. I might just do that. Then dishes (just few items) and a bit of straightening up and putting away. And manicure.

OnTheMend You are really getting things done, quickly! desposito As usual, you are getting things done & motivating us all! Sapphire I am behind you, too! TML Aww. so sweet... singing to kitties. Me, well? Getting a late start................ So far: Had all my meds Drank 24 oz of water so far, today. Weighed Checked on parents (cameras). Mom different this morning. Head hanging... extra sleepy looking/like a limp wash rag. Not holding herself up at all... DH left a message for her caregiver at the ALF to call us. (He was told she was very busy right now)... So, we've been waiting for a call back now for about 2 1/2 hours. Next: Dress2shoes in workout clothes (already brushed teeth & ate breakfast & put in my contacts), need to brush hair & put in pony tail. 1st day of back to doing some small form of exercise... the plan is to do Back Exercises including crunches & planks, and a few push-ups and squats. I'll report back. Haven't done any exercise at all in over a year, I think... maybe longer. CD

Good luck Sapphire! I don't drive either, so I know how that makes everything harder. Sometimes you have to just give up on finding perfect places for everything, get rid of it, and start fresh. Otherwise the things will never leave!
I had a long break, and did sit for a while with my eyes closed, I don't think I fell asleep though, just relaxed.
Next:
Clean up from lunch and wash the last of the dishes 5 minutes on fridge Pack another book to send Delete 10 hard emails

Hello!
I'm having trouble finding motivation today. But I'm finally starting. I've been working in 20 minutes blocks because I'm feeling overwhelmed.
Took out a bag of recycling, cleared top of dishwasher and side counter in kitchen, washed up about half the dishes in the sink, picked up some trash, started collecting laundry in bathroom and living room.
Next up: finish dishes, start dishwasher, clean up in spare bedroom
