well, I thought there was a thread called listzilla n which I could start to post daily lists of what I've done, but I can't seem to figure it out. so I will start one here.
today i emptied the stopped up sink and got that water out of the house. also another container of bad water. threw smelly garbage out outside, and regular garbage out inside. put some dte out re: bugs. decided to break the logjam by throwing out 10 things,. I think I got to 18. or 20. woo-hoo!
went to building of woman whose checks I found and left extensive post-it for her. no response.
filled out application online and was accepted. but there is another part of this that I can't find the thread to.
finally called my sister.
got finger protector to cover the top of the thumb deep cuts that got infected when I was on fire, cleaning. so I don't repeat the situation of making it worse.

Thanks, SillyCanuck. My best friends are Canadian. was trying to figure out how to reply --- not clear. still fumfering around. Thank you NewLifeToday. I can't go on WIT, because I don't work in threes. but I do keep in mind the ten things out thing, which helps me, because it's not too daunting, I am not taking on the gargantuam task. I do have an emergency. but I am mostly paralyzed. so getting things out -- however -- helps so much. It seems to me I have the worst ever. it's dense, deep and squalored. people offer to help, but they haven't seen it. At one point I hired a recommended outrageously expensive company and they just went through every purse, wallet backpack, folder, flap or file and took every penny I had. Now I am left with unhoarding this nightmare decades long mess. Today I got some stuff out. and something ruined by mice photoed. pleased thus far. yesterday I did laundry. another victory. although I discovered the laundry computer card I'd filled last week was missing. -- --- asked someone if he had extra time and paid him for it. dont know what I will do, dont want to pay for another card. not just the time, which I paid for, but the card itself. washed there, but then took wet stuff to commercial laundromat to dry. neighborhood Homeless woman has installed herself in there, she likes to sleep there and it's unpleasant and etc. debate about whether to ask some authority to roust her. the place has put a big barrier where she used to sleep so now she installs herself right in front of the change machine. not fun. compassionate but real annoyed. they used to leave the place open all night but because of this sort of thing they started closing at ten and locked until morning. limitation on everyone else in the neighborhood who relied on that place. sometimes now they leave it open. I guess she scoped that out. she's not an easy person to be compassionate to. but I suppose that's the point. love the unlovable. errr.

I'm a regular poster on the WIT thread. I think there are two of us who post in threes. Nearly everyone else interprets "three" very loosely. Come on over, if that's the thread that's closest to the sort of place you want to post your tasks. The other busy daily thread(s) is/are the Weekday and Weekend Workalong. It's good to see you going at it.

annyb I understand you’re feeling of being the worst ever. I can assure you that you are not. I can also assure that this is the place where people understand exactly what you are really with. Not your exact personal details but the smell, the flies, other pests, inability to move around living space, etc…we have all been there at some point.
Hopefully that computer card will turn up as you clean up. I do understand the paralysis. It helps to start with one tiny thing, even if it’s just washing one dish or putting one item in the trash. On really bad days, I applaud myself for getting out of bed. No effort is too small to start. I’ve found posting here, especially on the working threads, even my smallest efforts and getting positive feedback helps. (Yes we do applaud people for washing a dish).
I know it’s difficult to feel hopeful or that it is even possible to dig out of a squalorous hoard but it is. There are people here who have done that and are now completely in maintenance. Others are the path forward, further along or just starting. There is light at the end of tunnel. I didn’t see it when I first started here but I saw it in other peoples stories. You are in the right place, keep posting.

Thank you, you guys. I have missed and needed this. I feel like a solitary creature with this problem. I dont know how to use the board yet -- how do I respond to individual posters on this thread? can't tell if I can like or what.
Today was a special day in my calendar. I agreed with myself and the world that I would not do the apartment today. Found such discouraging stuff in my PO box. I was almost loony with it. felt like my life was impossible. so much to contend with . So many things just go by the board because I can't. I have to love myself and let somebody else love me. so discouraged. such an unexpectedly sad day.
Let us gather good things. walked most of the way home last night with my favorite person from the church -- and had a conversation with her. pandemic and apartment woes have made me too isolated. I am carrying this burden all the time. it does not encourage friendship. piece of mail from my sister I was able to pick up. havent opened yet. found out that it was the last day to pay po box renewal and was able to do so. even though card one did not work because I dont have a pin on it and the machine required one. Learned certain business connection has not abandoned me. was able to get some cracked ice to put in a bag to save my frozen dessert.washed my hair.got blueberries.meditated.breath out.

I feel like a solitary creature with this problem. I dont know how to use the board yet -- how do I respond to individual posters on this thread? can't tell if I can like or what. You're not alone. Keep posting. To respond to an individual poster on this thread, first see what that person's user name is. It's the blue name. Then click on Reply (near the top on the right, or near the bottom on the right). This takes you to a sort of blank page where you can type your text. You see all the little buttons that you can click? To tag an individual, click on the one that looks like a little person with @ in front of it. It asks you to enter their user name. Type in the blue user name and hit Enter. (It'll also display possibilities that you can click on instead.) Don't be bothered when it shows an @ name that's different from the user name that you just typed. It will display correctly once it's posted. Some people have a user name that's different from the blue user name. (There's a slightly different way to do this, but this is the first way I learned.) After that, you just do what you've been doing: type your response, then Create Post. To Like someone's post, just click on the thumb's up button on their post.

annyb, I WIT, also. Seldom post 3s. If I stopped to type every time I got 3 items completed, it would slow me down. If I'm feeling good & am moving enough oxygen, I work about 45 min, rest about 15. type it all up then. If I'm short on oxygen it's work 15, rest 15 or 30. There used to be a long-listers thread. Shrug. everyone will welcome you into whatever thread you choose to use. Really, really.

hi, my friends. inertia, I guess, I'm still here. for now. got 3 more big flat buggy cartons out today. yucky food garbages. smelly stuff thrown out out of the building. got 3 containers emptied. two jugs of water filled. and, eventually, a big jug of drinking water brought in. been out for quite a while, so no more at home. yet. brought in something that is either a fan or a heater. excellent either way, if it works. also returned 11 bottles, now out of my house. yay. and got new phone turned on, but there are glitches. will try to fix.

Hi annyb, hooray for progress! And welcome. I hope the person who hangs out in the laundromat find somewhere else to be, that is irritating you don't feel comfortable doing your laundry.

I haven't been on here for a long time. I am in serious difficulties. If you are able to do spiritual support, that's about where I'm at right now. Still amazes me that you people understand this and I could stop feeling like a pariah.

Welcome back annybYes wherever you are at its ok to come here. Yes to needing the support of others to do little things that sustain life and extra kudos to improve things just a little one day. That is me too. I can dream big, but if I do something I count that as a win. Sometimes getting to the end of the day, I count that as a win. Sending some safe love your way, and a hug if you would like it. Within you today there is the strength that you need to get through this day.

Hi annyb I am glad you posted. wynken is so right, wherever you are is welcome here. I can only second what she wrote. I, too, send you smiles of blessing. Many of us find posting helps us. Please post or join in wherever you like, whenever you wish. This group is a daily source of strength and support for me. One day at a time, one step at a time. Sometimes, even throwing out one small thing, or putting one thing in a better place, or washing just a few dishes, helps me on a better way. I wish you much beauty today.
