Ta Da Switch laundry to dryer and hang up drip dry clothes (10 minutes) Put second load of laundry in (5 minutes) Make phone call to Ophthamologist about field vision test results (10 minutes and 10 minutes to write recap)
Small 'r' rant warning: As follow-up to my attempt to be "constructively proactive" with my health team, I called the Ophthamologist back to see if the fax had gone through to my primary physican and my specialist. She said yes, the letter that confirmed conclusions from the initial exam and tests were sent (initial appointment and exam by the Doctor).
However, the receptionist would not answer directly yes or no when I asked if the specialist had completed his review of the Field Vision test that took place on October 18th or one week after the first consultation and exam. All she would say is that "he does not send results of that to either specialist or the primary physician as they would not understand the pictures." If he has any issues, you'll get a call to come in sooner than the 6 month appointment. I asked three times and she still would not tell me if he has reviewed the results from the technician. I think the other receptionist was more forthcoming when she said 3 weeks ago: "he hasn't done the review on your Field Vision test yet."
So, at least I know that there will be no results from that test forwarded to my other doctors involved with my care and I will only get a call back to come in earlier if he finds concerns (no note on the file yet that he has any concerns from the field vision test). I really don't like these situations where they say "no news is good news" because it still leaves the possibility of an error (that I should have been called back but wasn't).
I hate these calls!

Thanks yrwelcome! Glad your health call went smoothly! Motivation for the decorations is that we're having a Christmas party tomorrow. I'm having to do some 'stash and dash' and always a bit sad that I'm motivated to do more when others come into my home than I am for myself to enjoy...but there it is. No room for a Christmas tree, but we used our large window to put snowflake cutouts into the triangle shape of a tree. I have some candles close by and a few ornaments (not too many). I think it turned out alright.

I bet your house is looking pretty, itsybitsy. yrwelcome Well done on doing a very important admin task for the relocation. Went to library. Went to hardware store. They didn't have what I was looking for, but I got another thing I need, and one I don't but will probably be helpful (clear acrylic bin for refrigerator). Went to bookstore. Order two presents. Do stretches. Run Roomba in living room. Errands: gas station Will do this Sunday instead.

goldenthreads the clear acrylic bin is a score - if you buy those "fitted" to your fridge model, they are so expensive! Side note: I really like how you are incorporating the physical activity into your WIT. I need to try that!

TaDa Made some ramen noodles to go with a mixed bean salad I had made a couple of days ago. It actually tastes better after flavors meld than eating right away. Finished off that with a mandarin, so that was an early supper or late lunch. Maybe popcorn later on? DH likes Ramen Noodles, while I'm just okay with them. These cook very quickly - I think I'll shorten the cooking time by 15-20 seconds next time. These packets are from Costco, so not the super=salty packets that come with the noodles-in-a-cup version.
Big accomplishment earlier this afternoon so I stopped doing my prep for party tomorrow. Had to find a manual on our well pump (it failed yesterday) for the specs and hp. Paperwork and file was from 2008. I found it! Took a risk getting up the ladder in the garage to the top shelf on my own (wearing too-large moccasins). Not very smart but I was determined to get it. Good thing DH labeled the outside of the box so I knew which one to grab.
DH came home from a meeting but first went to Costco with a list of stuff for tomorrow. We put those items away so it didn't make a bigger mess after I tidied up the kitchen earlier today.
ToDo
Okay, evening is coming. Do I have the energy to: 1) fold the clothes from the two loads of laundry now that they're dry? Yes! I know I won't feel like doing it tomorrow morning. Do you ever feel frustrated doing a task that feels like you're going backwards? Like folding clean clothes tomorrow for laundry done today means returning to something I should have done right away. (14 minutes or about 7 minutes per laundry load)
2) Clean the downstairs bathroom and get a clean hand towel ready for tomorrow evening. (6 minutes). I put the clean towel draped over the shower door. When people are just about to arrive, I swap out the used towel for a clean one. I also keep a spare in the same place and, if I remember, I swap out mid-party. During COVID a year ago, I remember having a hand towel for each family and asking them to only use their towel Everyone was appreciative of the thought even though we all used the same bathroom.
3) Get the vacuum out to do the floors and stairs tomorrow morning. We're both tired and I think that's all I have the energy for. (5 minutes)
I'll set my phone timer for 20 minutes. Let's see if I can get it done!

Final set for the day - done! It took about 25 minutes. When I finished cleaning the toilet and sink, I stopped what I was doing to ask DH to use the downstairs bathroom "sparingly" until party tomorrow. Hahaha, he took it pretty well. The vacuum is ready for him to do the floors, then I'll do a final mop closer to 4:00 PM.
The best part of getting things done in advance is that we'll have time to see our DGS play hockey tomorrow morning. Normally, I'd put all tasks off until the day-of. Then feel bad that I wasn't doing the important things like watching him play (1st year, they lose every game, usually scoring stops when there's an 8-point spread). Poor guy - but it's still very entertaining to watch!

Thanks razy, I'm always surprised how I can turn from mega-sloth-mode to ACTION when the pressure is on! Why oh why don't I just do it as it comes, little by little, instead of a crazed fury of productivity?! That's a lot you got accomplished, with washing, bed (needs to be made same day, good going), grocery shopping (ugh, I avoid this all the time, now) and gardening. Getting outside is so good for mental health and getting natural sunlight. We are usually trapped indoors for most of our waking hours.
