Good afternoon TML! How are the cats doing?
I'm stopping for lunch now, today is a phone call day but I'm going to do one more list after lunch before my call.
The snow seems to be all passing north of us, there hasn't been any here so far today.

Hello scholar and cando!
I have a little time before dinner and will spend it working on my state taxes, there's not a whole lot I can do until I get the Federal form done but I can get the forms I need printed and make sure I understand everything.
Still no snow!

My taxes will be a bear this year so DH has started them for me by filling in basic data online, Diane. I totally get it!
I drove and did grocery PU, came home, DH put groceries away and made me lunch as I was having a pain day. I fell asleep and just woke up 5 hours later. Oy vey!
(cue I don't wanna voice) I'll do bed routine but I'm not doing anything else productive!

Done: - Went through a bag of things leftover in the bathroom. Everything has either been put in place, taken to the correct room or thrown out - Went through my living room toiletries box. Organised so that the lid fits and threw out six things. - Went through my little "daily stuff" basket of vitamins, skincare, etc. and organised so it would fit more easily in the unit I slide it into so that it is out of sight - Added living room trash from dinner etc. to the bag I had going from emptying the trash can - Achieved coffee table zero - Topped up soap dispenser in downstairs bathroom - Took fruit out of the freezer for breakfast tomorrow
Setting an annual pledge: No buying cotton wool pads in 2022. In addition to the pack I'm using, I seem to now have 4 others!
Tomorrow to do: - Cement meal planning for next ten days - Make lunches - Empty dishwasher - Set out clothes for work - Weekly wipe down of kitchen surfaces (a new habit I've set myself)

PS, everyone (well, a couple of friends) keep telling me I should do my taxes online--somehow I just can't take that step, it feels too much like I'm putting my information out there. I know I'm sending it in the mail, which isn't that secure, then there's a paper copy of it somewhere, which is probably put online anyway--but still the idea is just scary to me. Especially now that my taxes are so easy again. The only complication is that the tax forms are confusing even when your situation is simple, because they have to include information for people whose situations aren't simple, and then I have to read everything just to make sure that all those other things don't apply to me. But I still think they're simple. I honestly think I'll have them done way before my goal of 2/15 this year. And I'll be getting a small refund back, too! Now, that's something that I might do this year--give them my bank info so the refund can go into my checking account--considering the fact that I waited a really, really long time for the last two refunds via check. That's scary too, giving someone my checking account info...
I'm just about ready to take the dog out and get ready for bed, good night everyone, see you in the morning!

Diane, I went digital maybe 20 years ago. I was nervous at first but it makes it much faster. Plus accountants have to send electronically if they have a certain number of clients. So even the years they were too complicated for me to do, they were e-filed. Plus for this paper challenged person having all my returns available through turbo tax or the accountant is peace of mind.

so my day took a turn. DVD had a major falling out with his mom. D had a heart attack and is in the hospital waiting for a stent. Lady Di needs to move out from her partner. I am glad I am still in the "light on my feet" mode, as my living situation is in flux.
But DVD and I kept our date for the downtown art installation. It was chilly but not enough to keep people from enjoying the festivities. I have never seen it so crowded! I guess everypony was excited to get out. I got a lot of walking in. So far no sore throat, so I am happy about that.

peaceseeker Sorry to hear you were in pain, today. Hope your night and tomorrow is better. 48 papers into recycle bag 2 papers into "to be shred" bag Hunted for a missing checkbook & found it. Hunted for 3 bills & found them. 2 sm boxes into recycle bag 37 papers into recycle bag 2 plastic wrappings into trash Paid 3 of Mom's bills.
I realized that I wrote the last check from the check book. So, then needed to find the next checkbook. Was wondering if I had any more checkbooks or not. Hunted through 1 big box & halfway thru another, also thru a stack of papers. Nope, not there. Then, I thought of calling my youngest brother who is pretty darn organized & keeps everything, too. Thought maybe he could check & see if he had a note on which checkbooks he gave me - it's a joint account. Well, he did not have a note about that. But, let me know what checkbooks he has left & we figured out that I should probably have several checkbooks & the checkbook numbers of them. That was a long phone call. I have several boxes/bags to look thru to see if I can find them. Thankfully, it is an account that I may not need to use for a very long time -- we had not used it since last July. So... I'm not going to worry about it now, after all... I am scared tho because we have to move everything out & the several places they could be -- I don't want to get mixed up where to look. Omg, I'm so scared!5 business cards into trash9 papers into "to be shred" bag3 folders into recycle bag1 pkg dessicant into trash Dieted successfully Drank at least 48 oz of water -- may have been 56 oz, today. Made a couple menu plan for tomorrow

Good morning, peaceseeker Hoping youβre feeling better today. I woke up early after going to bed really late. Woke up before my alarm & very bad headache. Very congested- which is not unusual. I took 2 Excedrin & am better now. I have a very early morning tomorrow so have to go to bed early! Hope I donβt feel sick as my boss is worried that I wonβt make a hearing at a courthouse that is at least an hour drive away (maybe longer in traffic). I have to be inside by 8:30am so 5 or 5:30am wake up. Bbl Cd
