Good morning everyone!
I had every intention of getting up early and running two errands before work. Ha! I was late for work. I picked up an ice cream cake and plates and stopped at a local restaurant and got a gift certificate. We are celebrating a work birthday today - the woman I supervise. We enjoy lunch out every friday so I got her a gift certificate to the local diner.
I am working from home tomorrw and weds so I wore my red valentines day dress today.
Yesterday I felt so motivated and I was moving right along. I got laundry done, dishes done, bagged up stuff to toss from the basement (not enough but it was cold down there) I broke down boxes and got them in the recycle bin. I need to string along a few more days like that.
OK - time to solve a mystery here at work.....

Good morning everyone!
I think last night was a record, I slept for almost 6 hours in a row! Then I was awake for half an hour but got another hour in, so not a bad night.
I see that ally is playing the dice game today so I will join in, I have lots of little nagging procrastinated things that are perfect for dice game.
The forecast for today is 50 again!

Catcats, I saw your response about the muffin mix in the last thread, I didn't know you could just add things without also adjusting other ingredients. I don't like cranberries so I would have to find a different mix, but everything else sounds really good. Of course, I don't have an oven now, I tried making cookies in my toaster oven and they came out okay, but I don't know how muffins would bake in there.

Happy Monday! I did not post on the weekend thread but I read through it cando you are getting rid of so much! FWIW would have recycled the calendar but I know what you mean about the pictures. All of my calendars are gifts from animal rescue groups. A few milestones over the weekend: Put away my outdoor Christmas decor! Not much so I dy think it had moved to the eyesore category. Replaced my Christmas door wreath w my St. Patrick Day wreath. Did laundry -several loads (and folded and put them away, a much more challenging part for me) Ran lots of errands - to pet store (puppy came!), to pay a bill, to drop off donations, for groceries, for toiletries, for hardware store stuff. I LOVE the freedom of running errands. Just love it as a single mom so much of your life cannot be spontaneous- running to the store meant either getting a sitter or in the old old days car seat, diaper bag, etc just the freedom to walk out the door is something I really treasure even now! Went to church Took puppy for beautiful walks in the park in the sunshine! Three days of sun in a row!!!! Went to a small super bowl gathering. I will miss football. Hope to get to training camp this summer I had worked on my jewelry- organizing and donating and tossing - as part of my room declutter. Tiday I am wearing a bracelet and necklace that were forgotten and stored away! I think I need to buy some storage. Anyone have any ideas on the best and easiest way to store earrings? I also kept up w dishes. And litter. Swept floors But the house needs some TLC for sure!!! Today stayed in bed til last possible minute! Fed animals, off to work Two chaos meetings today….

bree I've used egg cartons for earring storage - cheap, free and customizable (can cut to fit). Quite a few years ago I bought a jewelry armoire which had one drawer of small cups - my earrings are small so 3-4 pairs fit per "cup". Was just thinking that would be a good sort project before we move back to our bedroom. I do have the armoire with me and it is packed full with a ton of stuff that can be given away. Not to mention - things that need repairing..... . I have tiny holes in my ears and in DH's country the earring posts are much bigger. If I really like the earrings - I have the post removed and put on something that is more comfortable for me. I haven't done that in about 10 years so I'm sure I have a bunch more earrings that need that repair. I found a neighborhood jeweler to fix my engagement ring which split in half so I've been taking stuff in there to repair a few pieces at a time.

Good morning bree! I hope your chaos meetings are short.
Cando, I have one small drawer for all my most important items like that. It's a narrow drawer so I'm not tempted to put lots of other stuff in it, I keep my wallet in there when I'm not out with it, my bus pass, my medical cards, social security card and any gift cards I might have. I also put any coupons that I hope to use in there since they're related to financial stuff. Basically anything small and really important that I might need-last year when I had written medical test referrals they went in there until I went for the tests. I've gotten good about putting everything back in that drawer when I come home so I don't lose those things. Of course, I only go out a couple of times a week at the most, when I was still working every day I would keep the wallet in my bag that I used to carry, but now I don't take those items out of the drawer until I need them and then I put them right back.
I also have a very small fireproof safe and I probably should put my social security card in there--I have my will and house info in the fireproof safe.
Hi phoenixcat, I hope your construction project is going well!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Anyone have any ideas on the best and easiest way to store earrings? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I always saved Godiva boxes. The little holders for the candy are the perfect size for storing earrings. Some larger, some smaller. Sometimes one earring fits in one container and the matching one in the container next to it. If there are 2 layers in the box, even better. Or use the main box to store necklaces and bracelets. The jewelry has a very faint scent of chocolate when you put it on, really nice. The boxes stack nicely in a cabinet.
Good luck with that crazy Chaos today!
I just read that phoenixcat uses egg cartons to store earrings. I used those for the girls' barrettes when they were little. Their tiny, precious, little socks fit nicely in those also.
