Well, it's been a long but good weekend for me.
We moved back from the hotel yesterday .
Went to lunch at a friend's house.
Met with attorney... very brief introduction to learn about him & his type of cases. We will surely be seeking his advice very soon.
It was nice to be back home...
This morning, DS, his wife & our Grandbaby (or toddler, rather) came to visit. It was the most wonderful, awesome visit! They stayed for a few hours & just amazing!!! We really needed that... it had been too long going without seeing out Grandson. They really liked our new floors. I enjoyed playing with DGrandson. He thinks it's hilarious when someone jumps. So, we had fun with jumping.
And, he tried to jump, but not quite there, yet. He has the biggest, best smile... He looks exactly like my DS did at that age. Huge smiles & laughter... just like my DS had.
Afterwards, DH & I went to visit my DMom. She was sound asleep when we got there.
DH got my laptop back set up in our home... it is in daughter's old room, temporarily.
We have so much more to do on our house...
Sorry I couldn't check in last week, hardly any. (can't remember if I did at all or not). We were incredibly busy with the house.
We have ended up tossing the following during this clean out for the flooring:
1 bed with mattresses
2 sets of bookshelves
About 20 bags/boxes of recyclable paper type stuff (we got rid of some paperback workbooks/books/lots of magazines, empty boxes all different sizes from gift boxes to moving type boxes, tons of papers).
About 25 bags/boxes of trash
1 toilet
Lots of Ewaste need to figure out what to do with it: computers/drives/all kinds of electrical computer related parts, etc.
1 car battery dropped off at Walmart for them to recycle/dump or whatever they do with them. So glad we got rid of that.
So much that I'm sure that I forgot to list.
I have dropped off and donated at least 10 boxes/bags of stuff
Today, tossed:
1 pair of hose
2 pairs of socks
Have washed 2 loads of laundry (DH washed several loads at the hotel last week)
WE have lots of books that need to be given away (I guess...) at least 5 big Veterinary Medicine textbooks
Other big books, too.
We still have tons to go thru.
And, so much to figure out what to do with -- and find places for.
We are going to get rid of more furniture.
So much more to do.
