Good morning everypony!
wow, Diane, we are in the same temperature range! cando your sweet comments are inspiring oust glad the tomatoes survived
I got some very expensive, once-every-three-months flea medication for the cat last month. However, because I did not read the instructions, I ended up getting more of it on me than the cat. Anyway the fleas are back. I got bit on both my ankles last night, and spent the hour between 4:00 and 5:00 am scratching. I finally woke up enough to put some cortisone cream on it. But this meant I was awake enough to just get up.
to be honest, I am excited about scrapbooking. Yesterday I was able to set up a table in DM's studio space and leave it up. Finished two pages. I am thinking about getting a session in this morning. I am also thinking about driving 40 mins to go shopping! Some of the Tuesday Morning stores are closing, meaning their already discounted crafting stuff is on sale.
I have a tdoc appt at noon. Then I will be watching 2 (w/ DVD I think) at 1:30, while Lady D and Baby Daddy have an online mediation session. Then I will take a nap!
DONE: decaf two meds--oops, need to go eat some protein, brb

Good morning cando, oust, scholar and PS!
Wow, lots of us are sick! Sick and/or not sleeping well!
Enjoy your scrapbooking, scholar! I think my sister was ahead of the modern scrapbooking hobby, she had books dating back to her high school years and she would decorate them in all sorts of ways before it was a thing to buy scrapbooking supplies in a craft store and fancy them up.
I went to the library, and I finally got an answer to a question I have asked there before but without getting a good answer. There's a big paper recycling collection bin in the library parking lot. Shortly after starting to use the library I asked if this was a fundraising thing, and was told no. Which was weird, because I know the company that puts the bins out and it IS a fundraising thing. So a couple of months ago I asked again, and the person at the reception desk was clueless so she called in back to ask someone. Then she told me no, it was just there as a service to the community. Okay, I went home and thought about that, it didn't make sense--the service to the community is the regular village trash and recycling pickups--why would we need a second paper recycling service unless it benefited the library.
So today while I was there I saw one of the more senior people who I've talked to a couple of times and she seems to know what's going on. I asked her, and she said that technically it IS a fundraising thing, but the amount they get now is very very small, but they keep the bin there anyway since people are used to it. I told her I was sure the paper would actually be recycled, which I'm not confident about when I put paper in the regular recycling pickups at the house. She assured me that it's picked up regularly by the company and they do recycle it, so now I will bring my paper recycling there in my shopping cart since I'm at the library so much anyway. I will feel better knowing it will actually get recycled.
I was planning on cleaning out the seed pool this morning but apparently there was some rain overnight because everything is wet--it has to be dry for me to sweep up the seed hulls so I'll have to wait until things dry out. It's very sunny out there so psychologically it feels warm. Hopefully I will get things done today.

cando I would call credit card people. Tell them you need to pay them but there is a website issue. Ask: What is going on? If they can’t tell you how to fix this issue then you need to have them note that there is an issue and not charge you late fees and that you will send them email as confirmation. That should get a fire under them. My guess is that it may need an email update. My cable company that i use for my internet and my email (though I am switching it over) puts a deactivated on my email accounts if they are not active as they think they should be. So then I have to go in from my main account and activate it again. Some of my email accounts I just use for receipts so this happens all the time. I have complained but they are pfffft. When the email is deactivated it sends a this account is not in use message to my bank who then bugs me about it and puts notices on my online account (really irritating). I would call and complain. I would not mention you are paying late just complain about the website stopping you from paying and it needs to be fixed. I am putting stuff in my donate box. It is not yet one full box but at least it is filling up. Having too much it is like having nothing. If you don’t know where anything is and can’t find it when you need it then lost in house is the same as not having it but more frustrating. So I am trying to decrease my house load of stuff that i don’t use and really don’t need (and not buy stuff like this in the future). So that the stuff I do need are put up where i can find it. Sending good energy for everyone feelingbetter and getting well

Had a long lunch, a tv break, a phone call and then took the dog out again.
If you don’t know where anything is and can’t find it when you need it then lost in house is the same as not having it but more frustrating.
So true TML! Remember the story about the store-age service? I love that story and if I wasn't so tired I would look for it and print it again. Maybe later.

Sorry to hear it seems like a few people are under the weather at the moment. Get well soon folks!
Done: Handled mail Threw out more expired food Reset the top of the little TV unit Set out clothes for tomorrow Made lunch for tomorrow Achieved dining table zero Sorted through the contents of a gift basket I won and put everything into piles - keep but at work, keep at home, give to boyfriend, offer as raffle prizes and a few little things I may donate but am not certain about. Reorganised my "clutter catcher" basket of daily toiletries which was slightly overflowing

List for tonight:
DONE - 1) get meds from pharmacy for mom DONE - 2) Help mom shower DONE - 3) Leave work early to go to my parents dental appointment to help my dad transfer in and out of the dental chair (at least I can bring a book)My dad transferred do well!! DONE - 4) 3:30-4:30 meeting DONE - 5) 5-6 meeting (skipping out on to help my mom shower) I ended up going to the meeting. I am happy I did. We wrapped up just in time for me to get to my parents.
My dad asked if I minded putting him to bed.. He was tired. So I cleaned him up and got him in bed. He had a small accident in his pants and like a toddler he kept scratching his bottom. He got poop on his sleep shirt and pillow and hands but I think we got it all cleaned up. Washcloth and wipes and in bed tucked in. This is the hard part.....
Now I am home. DH had the night off as his ribs are still healing. He got a frozen pot pie for dinner. I ate my portion and I am in bed. Tomorrow is work from home day. Hopefully no technical issues.
My son might lose is job. He is a mechanic and if the owner cant sell the shop the owner is just going to just close it up.
OK - I am curled up in bed with Cali. time to drift off.....

Hope everyone who feels bad---feels good ! Diane, sorry you were hit with a very big vet bill. That happened to me last Fall, when Latte needed much dental work. ohblondie, My word, you are so busy. peaceseeker, I smiled at the way you said "regular sick." As not Covid sick, I guess. Today, in addition to the cat pans and other dailies, I hemmed by hand a pair of new jammie pants and also cooked a nice dinner , doubled so I have some for another night too. Hope to hem another pair tomorrow. catcats

Ohblondie, I feel for you so much. I can't imagine how hard it must be to see your parents decline mentally as well as physically. Seeing any older adult with dementia is bad, but seeing it affect the people who raised you has to be awful. My dad died pretty suddenly when I was 12 and my mom when I was 26--she was sick for a few months but did not have dementia. It was bad enough seeing my sister have some confusion during the last few weeks of her life, but that's nothing like seeing a slow decline over months or years.
I cannot say enough about you guys who are providing long term care for parents.
It's time to take the dog out and get ready for bed--good night all, see you in the morning.

Catcats, this doesn't even include her dental! Which I assume she needs, the guy who brought her back didn't know about her mouth exam so I was going to ask the doctor when she was going to call today with blood test results but she didn't call. I will have to call them tomorrow, and remember that they close early on Wednesday.

ohblondie, How hard it has to be to see your parents like this. God bless you, you are so kind though, and do things for them so much. It is obvious that you are a loving family. catcats
