Go, go Goldenthreads!
It suddenly occurred to me just now that if I worked straight through, no breaks, it would only take me an hour and forty-five minutes to do all seven of my rooms.
Do I dare attempt this? My brain thinks it can totally do this, is very excited to jump in, but if it were that simple, I'd have been doing it already, right?
But I'm clearly not making the decisions today. My brain has slipped it's leash and is running wild. I guess we'll see what happens!
I've got two timers ready to go--one to set for 105 minutes to tell me to log back in and report here no matter how it goes. (I'm sure I'll be reporting absolute success.) And I have a second timer ready to time my 15s.
I literally feel like I'm jumping out of an airplane or something. Back in 105 minutes!

First, I'm taking a fifteen minutes break. I just can't keep going straight through.
Second, I lost fifteen minutes somewhere. I've only done three rooms, but an hour has elapsed.
I didn't take breaks between rooms, and when the fifteen minute timer went off I restarted it and moved to another room.
I must have restarted it and stayed in one room for another fifteen minutes. Nothing else makes sense. But I didn't get a super lot done in any one room.
I have done the office, the living room, and the entry/stairs.
Still to go: downstairs bathroom kitchen bedroom master bathroom
I reset the master timer to give me an hour. I'm glad I had it set or I wouldn't have noticed I lost fifteen minutes. It gives me a better understanding of how it feels doing it this way.
If I'd only had three rooms left after an hour, I'd probably have kept going without taking a break. But being that tired and having only done three rooms with four left was a bummer.

Taking another unplanned fifteen minute break. After that, only the master bedroom and the master bathroom left.
Just goes to show how sedentary I've become. Most people work eight-hour shifts without a problem. But I'll build myself up.

Done!
I don't think I'll try to go straight through again. I'm really tired now and not sure how much I really got done on those last two rooms. But glad I did it.
I still have laundry to finish up, but I'm going to rest a bit first.

Okay. Finally got started and did 15 minutes in living room. - Opened mail.
- Wiped down cooler from storage unit and put it away.
- Emptied the book bag and distributed books.
- Consolidated two plastic bags of papers into one.
- Lubricated the shredder.
- PUPA several things.
The room does look a bit better. I was feeling quite down on myself, so the bigger improvement is with my mood.
cricket A lot of those 8-hour people are sitting at desks. But, yes, you will build up stamina.

I did a pretty good job cleaning up the stove, working on the drip pans, stovetop, area under the stovetop, handles, and the nearby walls.
I also washed some dishes.
This ended up taking 20 minutes.

I just put in my 15 minutes in the bedroom. The paths are wider and my bed is clearer! I put some things away, and moved some empty boxes elsewhere. I plan to use the boxes for donations or as replacement for the damaged boxes in storage.

I worked another 15 on the kitchen bar and 15 on the kitchen table. I worked 15 on laundry and 15 sorting papers. I'm hoping for a miraculous breakthrough. everyone for all you have gotten done.

WTG def6 and Goldenthreads for keeping going!
I am literally sore today. Feels like I did intensive weight lifting yesterday! But I will build my endurance if I just keep at it.
I'm starting to feel a difference in the house. One piece of furniture I decluttered, dusted, and polished is right at the top of the stairs, and every time I go upstairs I see it glowing. It's really a mood boost for me, gives me hope. Little by little, I hope to do that to the whole house.
I've been busy doing odd things today, gave two hair cuts, folded laundry, kitchen stuff. I'm not even dressed yet! But I don't want to skip my fifteens.
I needed breaks yesterday and it felt like such a failure since I'd planned to work straight through. So today I'm building the breaks into the game plan so it's not so demoralizing.
The plan is to spend fifteen minutes per room in this order:
office living room entry, stairs
break
downstairs bathroom
kitchen
break
bedroom master bathroom
And I'll likely spend fifteen minutes moving a washer load to the dryer, getting dressed, and putting away folded laundry first, but I needed to go ahead and get my intentions posted because it will get me moving. Once I've posted, it's like I'm morally obligated.

Entryway has had 15 minutes of dusting, sweeping, and Roombaing imposed on it. It looks better. The main thing I'm happy about today, though, is the way the stove looks after yesterday's efforts. It wasn't very grubby, but its shininess today just makes me smile. I wasn't even looking for a difference today, but it's conspicuous!

I'm having trouble getting back up for round two, keep hitting the fifteen minute timer like it's a snooze button. I'm going to have a cup of coffee, splurge on some real sugar for it, then set the timer for 15 more minutes to enjoy it. And then I'm getting up to do the bathroom and kitchen.

I'm failing sooo hard today. I'm just so tired.
I'm prying myself out of my chair to go do the bedroom. I haven't even made the bed today. Just fifteen minutes. I'll take the vacuum up with me.
Getting up...NOW.
