okay, done for today. Did the bedroom. Started a load of laundry from the bedroom hamper. I'll at least get it to the dryer tonight, probably won't fold it.
And I'll rest up and be ready to go again tomorrow.

Good job, cricket. It's hard to keep going when you're bone tired. Have a good evening and excellent sleep!

It's another 60% day. For my third and last room, I worked on the living room. I cleaned out my purse and did a little PUPA. I also opened up the bag of books from storage, and sorted them. I shelved one category and will decide what to do with the rest the next time I deal with the living room.

Congrats goldenthreads and doodles for all you got done Today I spent 15 : in the kitchen, 15 in the laundry room, 15 on recycling, 15 on putting dinner in the crockpot. I am letting the hall bathroom "slide" a little bit to see if my children notice and break out the cleaners and the scrubbers to clean it. (ages 21 and 18) I know that If I don't let it get a little gross, they won't see to clean it. Testing 1 2 3

I slept ridiculously late today. Did my 3 min stretches, unloaded the dishwasher, hand washed my new "dishwasher safe" drip pans I paid extra for (because the one I sent through the dishwasher the other day came out rusted and I had to spend fifteen minutes using Barkeeper's Friend and a knock off Magic Eraser to return it to something like normal. I'm feeling very betrayed about the whole thing.) And that's about it so far.
I'm just mopey and not myself, and was dreading starting my 15 minute rounds, so I'm dialing it back today. I'm going to take a break after every room and I'm not going to push myself to do all seven.
First room is my bedroom. I have a load of folded laundry to put away and haven't made my bed yet, and that's the only room I have an actual pile in. So let's see what I can do in fifteen minutes.

Doodles, I am in awe! You knocked out your list and then some!
Def6, if your kids are anything like I was at that age, they genuinely won't notice dirt building until it gains sentience and starts eating their snacks. But hopefully your kids are more on the ball than me!
Still feeling mopey. In fact, mood-wise, I think I feel worse. Did my bedroom (that pile is a problem. Needs it's own day, and sorting through it is probably the reason I am feeling worse.) Started some laundry from the bedroom. (Thought I didn't have enough collected for a load but surprise!)
Took a break and had another cup of coffee and some toast. Keep thinking I'm going to start feeling better, but I guess I'm having a mood swing or something, so it's fake it til you make it time for me.
Pretty sure I can do three rooms with breaks. Just fifteen in each. But no more decluttering--that requires to much brain work and decision making to tackle today. Just tidying and cleaning. Just make it look nicer.
My randomly chosen rooms for today are:

Well, I got a surprising amount of stuff done in the kitchen. I'm having frost build up on stuff in my freezer. Not the freezer walls, which are frost free, but the food packages.
It's super humid here at the moment, and that probably is part of it. Also, I didn't get an ice maker, decided to just fill ice trays the old-fashioned way and maybe avoid a breakdown and water damage later on. ("Points of failure" got hammered into my brain when I was researching buying a new fridge.)
So I'm wondering if all that open water in ice trays is the big source of moisture turning into frost on packaging.
I took everything but the ice tray stuff out, wiped down the shelves, wiped frost off the packaging and wiped it all as dry as I could and put it all back more organized. And I cleaned the seal, which doesn't seem dirty yet, but I should be doing regularly anyway.
I need to put some containers or dividers in to keep the freezer organized. The last fridge was a side-by-side, so I had multiple narrow shelves, pretty self-organizing, but now I have this wide-open space.
Son has been complaining about the ice cream being rock-hard, so I adjusted the temperature a bit. That'll take a day or two to find out if it's right.
I thought that was going to use up all my time, but I also wiped down counters, swept, and actually started scrubbing cabinet doors before the timer went off.
Fifteen minutes is nothing when making decisions about a pile, but it really goes a long way for regular cleaning.
Oh, mood--I am feeling a bit better, seeing some visible improvements happening. But also, it's very overcast here, and I hadn't realized how dark the house was. I went around turning on lights and I think that may be helping me a bit.
While I'm at it, I should put on some music. I got out of the habit when my son was younger. Autistic sensory stuff, he couldn't tolerate music at all. But that has largely resolved for him. He even plays music himself some now. Maybe some Queen or Bowie would cheer me up.

Nice job in the kitchen, cricket. For the bedroom, I concentrated on the bookcase. I removed things that were not books, dusted the wood and books, and added the books that I pulled from storage. I also decluttered four books. I now have the leftover job of either returning the nonbooks to the shelves or finding new homes for them.

Bathroom: Cleaned the tub, wiped down some surfaces, cleaned the mirrors, PUPA, and rearranged the contents of some drawers.

I'm going to try to hit each room today without rules about breaks or the order. Just see how it goes. This is a really late start for me, not even sure why. But no rules today so it doesn't matter!
