Good morning everypony!
DVD's mom has moved in. So that phase is almost complete. I still have a few things to do, plus she may need me to make some changes, based on her mobility issues. DVD is going to take her shopping today.
right now he is making a standing table for the multi-room, by putting a door over the twin bed. it is resting on two headboards and he is attaching stops on either end of the door so it stays put. Such a clever solution! And we can paint it with leftover paint.
the curtain rings came in, so we can start on that project as well. This is going to be such a nice room to hang out in!
DONE: made coffee cleared and wiped peninsula updated log checked online balance paid bill checked email checked calendar checked notifications posted helped DVD
gonna lie down for a bit (back is sore)

Good morning scholar! I love using things in a way that they're not meant to be used, but that turn out to be just what you need!

I'm happy to say that the "outward" parts of the reading room are done! I still have sorting to do inside the cabinets and drawers, but everything showing in the room is organized and rearranged the way I want, and I must say, it looks really nice!
I'm going to do one more list before dinner.

Good morning reve!
Last night was the same as the previous nights--bad at the beginning but okay for the rest of the night. At least I'm getting some chunks of uninterrupted sleep but it's pushing me into a pattern that I don't want--staying up later and sleeping later. Today I slept until 7:15 and that's getting too late. I will have to make myself get up at 6 no matter what the night is like.
We got a half inch of rain overnight with a chance of more during the day, so that's good.
Yesterday was productive so I hope to continue that today.

Well, I had a traumatic plant-related morning. I recently bought a large pot so I could repot my corn plant, and while trimming and prepping it to be repotted the other day I noticed that a branch was breaking. This what happens with Dracaena plants, they get very tall and then they get top heavy and either fall over or the stems break. I always put off cutting them because I'm afraid I won't do it right and the plant will die. But now that the branch is breaking I have no choice, so this morning I cut the plant into pieces. The two top leafy pieces, and then a few more pieces from the stems, which at least in theory will all make roots and new leaves. I have no idea if it will work but I will try.
For sure now I need a smaller plant table near the window in the reading room--I could fill up any number of any size plant tables with a little time, but I just have to stop because they are taking over the house. So now that that one large plant is off that table I would like to swap it out with a smaller table for just a few plants, that will let me sit closer to the windows and see more. Of course, if the two branches with leaves actually do produce roots they'll go into a large pot together and that'll have to go somewhere, but that wouldn't happen for a couple of months and may not happen at all so I'm not going to worry about it now.
And of course, as with any project, I made a huge mess in the plant room that will have to be cleaned up.
