Good morning reve, good luck with your list today!
Thanks for starting the thread, lennon!
I had a bad sleep night, but don't feel too bad and am actually anxious to tackle the messes I've made over the last few days. The place can look good and in just a short time be far away from baseline--I really am a messy person so I will just have to keep PEEPing every day.
TO DO:
Call decluttering client Balance checkbook and pay a bill Restock water in fridge Delete 10 hard emails

After the dog went out I went next door and delivered a card to the neighbors, and I took my drill outside and made holes in a very large storage bin where I'm going to put all the soil from the flower pots currently on the back porch.
Now my back is hurting, so I'm going to stop for lunch and a movie break.

hi everyone reve your lists are inspiring. I need them! ohblondie if you stop in the thread, my dd has spotify and she has some great playlists. in fact she has one from my era with great old songs. I am so behind. I have to remind myself -- I think all xmas gifts are bought, might have a few stragglers; the outdoor decorations are up; the tree is up and decorated ( we did decorations last night, minimal ones as we keep lower tree free just in case with puppy). the stockings are hung by the chimney but not with care! I could not find three of them. the cards are out which involved taking photos, designing on line, and ordering and addressing and mailing! so I need to give myself credit for what I did as I feel woefully unprepared! but that a is a good chunk of Christmas prep! ok pep talk done. what I need to do look at presents and decide what i may need open some amazon boxes and see those presents wrap presents clear off dining room table see if any christmas linens need to be washed look up recipes for my main dish for Christmas as I am hosting (boo hoo) make mega grocery list -- I have some peeps bringing stuff go to grocery store - tiny thoughts of instacart it but I think i Need to be there in person. my back hurts so I am a little worried, i wrenched it this morning putting the cat bowl down on the floor ! there i no time for an injury, truly, really i will push through! did take some advil vac living room vac kitchen vac stairs mop kitcher mop entry way vac hallway vac dining room dust wood furniture use glass cleaner on mirrors, tables, doors clean bathroom sink mirror toilet mop floor take all trash and recycling out return bottles keep up with dishes clean litter so far today I have only done dishes, had to do some online work training for work work, I forgot about it! due year end started laundry load took shower I am sure there a many things I am forgetting!

what is the purpose of the holes
Golden, I have made storage bins into planters before by drilling holes, it's certainly cheaper to do that rather than to buy an actual "planter" that size. They don't look as nice but I always want the plants to be the focal point anyway. But this bin is sort of a last ditch effort for me, this is something I should have done in the fall and never got around to.
I grow a lot of plants in pots on my back porch that I don't have room to take inside for the winter, so they just die in the cold weather, which is okay, they were annuals anyway. I also had several plants on my kitchen plant shelf that had some kind of bug in them, I never did identify what it was but I think they were too far gone to save so I put those on the back porch too so that they wouldn't infect any other plants in the house. So my back porch is full of pots with soil in them, and some wilted plants still there too. I don't want to reuse any of the soil inside the house since they it be buggy, but I want to save the pots and clean them well enough to kill any bug eggs that might be around.
So, I'm going to empty all the soil into this storage bin, and most likely freezing over the winter will kill any eggs still in the soil. And if not, it's okay, because outside plants get bugs sometimes, but when you have a native garden the bugs are usually kept in check by the other bugs and the birds. So I will just let that soil sit there until spring, and then it can go anywhere needed outside, or I can add more soil and plant something right in the bin. But it will be open to the elements and if I don't have drainage holes, I will have a storage bin full of watery mud in no time! It's a very large bin, the reason I'm using it for this purpose is that it's too large to use inside, anything I would put in a bin that size (like, books!) would make it so heavy I would not be able to move it. I think it's meant for something really light and bulky like Christmas wreaths or garland, something like that.
i wrenched it this morning putting the cat bowl down on the floor
Bree, isn't it even more annoying when you hurt yourself doing something so innocuous as putting a bowl down on the floor?
Scholar--you know, this is exactly what I mean about not being in the full Christmas mode--I don't think about those emojis very often now. And I used to love them. Plus, I should use them while I can--the person who ran that site closed it down, but is keeping it up for now for free for everyone who used to subscribe to it--but I know that won't continue forever, I should use them while I still can.
Especially this one, which is my favorite:

I got another call from my shopping friend, she sounds the same as yesterday--she wants me to send a note to one of her friends letting her know about her Covid diagnosis, so I will do that but there's no rush to prepare it now because the mail isn't going anywhere until Tuesday. I also found an article online that I think my friend would like so I copied that for her and will mail it to her.
I have an hour until I have to feed the dog again and hopefully take her out, I'm going to do some PEEPing and some more dishwashing.
