thank you everyone!
I typed out a huge list of all I accomplished last night and it disappeared!
I remember I came home and washed the dishes I heated up leftover pot pie for dinner I wiped out and cleaned out the microwave I put clean dishes away I washed and dried and put away the load of socks and underwear that I washed and dried last night I put away the clean clothes I had washed earlier in the week I gathered son's clean clothes and put in his bin for him to pick up I got lunch ready for today I dumped out and folded and organized a dresser drawer I hung up clothes and gathered outfits for the week (I tend to wear a lot of red, and red and black) I emptied out a bin on top of a shelf and packed it back up. I am looking for a pair of leggings that are around somewhere but missing I did vacuum about three square feet of the carpet. the vac cleaner wasnt working well and was all clogged up but I got it cleared out and most of the crap cleaned up I also got a small carryon suitcase wiped out and out on the attic stairs. the attic is a spring project

Good morning everyone! I am home from the vet's office, when I got there, they told me that they did indeed have both medications I needed instead of just the one, so I came home with both meds and a bottle of CBD oil (and a huge charge to my credit card!)
On my walk I pass a large bank parking lot, at the far end of it is a garage which I now know houses snow plows. There were two snow plows sitting outside of it, one with a driver in it and the engine running. Another one was driving out of the garage. Here's the thing--we have NO snow in the forecast. Maybe they are planning to travel east? I know there is a snow storm coming to the east coast, but is it worth driving a plow all the way from the midwest to the east coast, as though there are no snow plows available on the east coast? Weird.
Also on my walk home I figured out how far the round trip is, I came up with 15 blocks. It didn't feel bad walking since it's 30-some degrees today, but in summer it feels like 15 miles instead of 15 blocks. My legs do hurt a little now that I'm home and sitting down.
I'm eating breakfast and then will get moving.

I did see the snow map and it looks like there is some snow predicted for 2 states east of us. Also, it occurred to me that they can probably take the plow attachment off and put other kinds of attachments on? Maybe they were headed to a construction site where they would have a different attachment and move something besides snow. Although don't they put off construction digging until warmer weather? Maybe they were doing maintenance checks to be ready for later in the winter. I'm not sure why I'm spending so much time trying to figure this out.
I just read back to last night.
It's not the end of the world
Danny, this is one of my favorite sayings too. Unfortunately, I seem to have lots of occasions where I need to comfort myself with it.
Reve, I hope your drawers come this morning.
Cando, the last time I checked with the pharmacy they had no further delivery information available, that's why I went to the animal hospital this morning. I now have enough until Next Wednesday morning of the one med so surely the order will come by then.

DH has requested a recipe so I am making it tonight. It involves browning ground beef, draining the fat, adding beef broth and uncooked noodles, cooking, adding cheese and sour cream. It is made in one pot (I have to wash that pot though). I will need to make a stop on the way home to get these ingredients so I will go to the Aldi near work.
I just went through a drawer and dumped 95% of the files. They were from 2017 - 2019/20. That felt great. Not sure why I held on to so much of the paper.
time to dump and organize more

Good afternoon scholar and bree!
The dog wanted to go out, when we came back inside it was almost time to feed her so I took a short reading break on the bed until feeding time. I also took the garbage can to the street, pickup is one day late due to the holiday.
I am almost finished with the Scandinavian book, it is SO good, so I will finish the last of it on my next reading break.

I'm not sure why I'm spending so much time trying to figure this out. You read a lot of mysteries. You like your mysteries to be solved. I'm like this, too. I want to know all the answers to why, and the internet has been a blessing and a curse for this! 🤞 🎀<--always hoping for the cases to be tied up neatly in a bow!

So - one thing that has been really frustrating me here at work is the meteoric rise of someone. This person became close with a big wig. this big wig has promoted this person beyond their abilities. every time the person is promoted - they go on probation. At the end of the year they usually are ready to be bounced back as they have failed. Big wig swoops in and saves this person - usually by promoting them to another position. We have lost several managers who have left and moved to other companies because of this. Before the holidays this person got promoted to the highest civil service position in the agency that is right along with the other big wigs. Today this person announced they are not staying in their new position but stepping back to their old one. over the holidays I had heard one of the big wigs mention to this person that they really needed to be prepared for the next meeting. I think this person saw the righting on the wall and stepped back before it got too embarrassing.
this favoritism and such is one reason why I am stepping away. (I dont want the job, wouldnt take the job). The fact that this person is stepping away isnt enough to make me stay. Unless my director gets the job - then I would stay.
I am getting heartburn - ugh

You read a lot of mysteries. You like your mysteries to be solved
Oh golden, that is so funny, and probably true! I'm always looking at things and asking questions about them--Why? How did that happen? How do they manage to do that? I would never have thought of it like that, it's the mystery lover in me. I even had another thought about it--that if I wasn't so anti-social, and if I had thought of it in time, I could have gone up to the snow plow that was sitting there with the driver in it and asked why they had plows out with no snow forecast! But I'm just not the kind of person who would do that. Although, I have to say that my dog walking years made me more likely to talk to strangers--you can't walk dogs without talking to other dog people.
And speaking of mysteries...I finished the one I was reading. It's more of a police procedural, although those usually qualify as mysteries, but they have a definite character all their own. The book is Hidden In Shadows by Vivica Sten. It's number two in a series of two books so far--I read the first one and liked it, but not nearly as much as this one--I couldn't wait to find out what happened in this one. She has another series too, with more books in it--I read the first two and actually have the third one out from the library right now also.
Okay, enough reading and pondering of mysteries today, I need to get something done.

reve I love pampas grass too, the blue must be so pretty!
Done ~
donations to animal thrift water jugs filled at water store, unloaded from truck all front entrance Christmas decor taken down all North Pole village decor put in garage swags off light posts, put in garage took apart live greenery decor bows and frosted pinecones in garage log containers drying out in garage greenery is still fresh, will keep in bunches to smell nice in the house
Garage was mostly finished with moving things around so truck could get in. Now most of the open space is cluttered again with all the decorations needing to be boxed up. That can be done at night. I completely forgot about the wreaths on both sides of the mailbox roof. Oh well, tomorrow works.

Yes, danny I really like the softness it adds! I think it needs something in the bottom of the vase to boost it up just a little, but that's hopefully an easy fix.
Well, the end of vacation is here and as usual, I'm so sad about it. I've had a nice day today of hobbies, productivity and self-care, but I still can't face the thought of going back tomorrow. Thank heavens tomorrow is a fairly easy day work-wise, and only two days to the weekend. I'm annoyed we still haven't got the bookcases built, but I have got a lot done and the house is in a good state, hopefully by the end of the weekend, even better once we get the new bedroom storage sorted and the curtain up. This weekend, priority will be getting the Christmas stuff away.
