Good afternoon reve! Ugh, I don't even know exactly what double overtime is, but it sounds tiring!
I guess I have to stop and make dinner now. I will not get things back to baseline today, there's too much stuff out and I'm too tired. We had rain earlier, then it turned to snow with giant flakes, now it's back to a sort of light, wet snow. The forecast shows snow continuing all night but I don't know if that will happen where I am. It's so funny, just a week ago I was complaining that we had no snow, and now I have snow! And since I'm all set to stay home for a while, this is a good time. I'm sure I'll be shoveling tomorrow!

Claiming amnesty for now - eventually I can do a thorough read.
Diane - my sister uses those ice cleat things in Colorado
busy weekend - emptied more out of parents garage another low ball offer on their house
DH isnt sure I am ready for retirement and I am second guessing myself If I wait three months (from today to be exact) I would get a significant longevity bonus and two other bonus payments
I am so overwhelmed and turning in circles.

Well, yesterday , I had taken all the ornaments off the tree and packed them away with their little notes. Today, I took off the lights, and dragged those and the tree up to the attic. It was hard to do. I vac'd the rugs. Did the dailies.
The weather is very bad, extremely heavy rain. The wind is fairly bad, but I had expected worse. I did not put out the trash because of the really bad weather. The dailies were done.
A few ornaments were missed yesterday and found on the tree today. They are on the DR table and tomorrow, I'll take them up and place them where they belong.
My best to everyone.

Good Morning x
Well done to those removing the Christmas Decs. I still have a Christmas tablecloth on, but I’ve seen a nice yellow gingham one for sale so think I’ll pick that up so it looks cheery for spring as my old wipe clean one has faded in the sun.
Today

Good morning womble!
This morning when I woke up I looked out the window and saw--no new snow at all! I think the snow was north of us, and there won't be any more until overnight tonight--and that sounds like a dusting. It's Friday when we might get more. I guess I'm a little relieved that I don't have a lot of shoveling today, I would like to spend my energy indoors, there is so much to do. Sleep was okay although I was up for an hour in the middle of the night, I woke up because I thought I heard some kind of clanging sound so immediately thought something was wrong with the furnace. I never did figure out what I heard, but I couldn't fall back right away after.
I haven't even given the dog her food and meds yet, I've been doing that around 8:00 so after I do that I'll get started with my lists. I'm sure she won't want to go out until later.
I hope we all have a productive Wednesday!

catcats I always would find ornaments after I put the tree away. So frustrating! Last night my sister and I discussed our parents house. We talked about moving my mom back home (we are so unhappy with the ALF) if we can find someone who might want to move in and do some household things in exchange for rent We gave a counteroffer to the proposed offer. I had a really good meeting last night Roads had packed snow and rain so they were quite slippery but I had a short drive home and made it safe and sound tonight my oldest DS and his GF and her DD are coming down to see my mom and get their Christmas cards/gifts. Hopefully we can move her dresser and rearrange some furniture for her. Time to pick a new recipe to make - I have no food in the house

Good morning ohblondie! I don't think a new recipe will help if you have no food. I think you need a trip to the store instead!
Okay, dog is fed and medicated.

I just spent over half an hour just reading three emails because they were from a mystery book site and each one listed a bunch of titles to check out. At this rate I'll never get rid of my emails, let alone read all the books I'm adding to my lists.
Next:
10 minutes PEEPing Divide bread and cheese into containers for the freezer Check movie schedule and set DVR Delete 10 hard emails

catcats I was skimming another thread and read your post that said, "...the tree is in the attic..." My first reaction was oh no, a tree fell down into Cat's attic in this terrible storm!!! (This was about 2 minutes after I stumbled to the computer, coffee in hand, so brain was not functioning yet.) VERY happy to reread and realize you had taken your Christmas tree back to (and in) the attic!!
Yesterday we had the huge storm move thru with no problems, very grateful! I was a slug so I made a list of every tiny thing I could do and went with that. So I got a lot of tiny things done and called it good.
I am kind of a weather fanatic and try to be prepped for whatever is coming. We have a couple good days here, then more rain on Friday, a few good days then snow on Tuesday. That will probably change somewhat but I need to be ready. I thought the garage was in pretty decent shape but it was clear during prep for this past storm that I cannot squeeze a single more thing in and have room to walk.
We'll be making at least 2 trips to the storage unit but that cannot continue to be the back-up plan. More stuff needs to be donated. But I still feel in the thick of books and clothes from the house. The not good thing is that one of the storage units (yes, I have 2 large ones ) has a lot of ~ what else ~ books and clothes. So, we go with our load to take in, pile it in the hall, go thru a few boxes of books, load some for donation put the new load of stuff in the unit and head out. Thus, the area never really clears, it is just replaced with something else. And yet, the donations seem to be pretty constant. Something needs to change ~ big time.
DD1 says not to even open the bags of clothes just donate them (like in one of the big box things where you basically dump them) and let whoever opens them to sort, decide if something needs to be cleaned or trashed. I can't do that. I need to see everything, there might be something important. Classic hoarder thinking, right? How important can it be if I haven't seen or thought about it in years? I don't want to dump junk on someone else hence the need to launder everything before donation.
I am so stuck in so many areas. Is there an emoji for a person flattened under stuff ~ just the little arms and legs flailing about......
