mylittlescholar here is the link to the original recipe. The original calls for two boxes of lipton onion soup mix. I thought that might be a bit much so my plan was to use goodmans GF and dairy free onion soup mix - shake it up well and put half on the chicken and half on the vegetables and then see how that did. www.saltysidedish.com/crockpot-lipton-chicken/

I did not cook for dinner. I went out and got Thai food as I was put out about the onion soup mix (ie the grocery store was out and i cant find any at home). I had some deli Vietnamese beef and veggies stir fry in the fridge so I ate tofu appetizer from Thai place and then used some of the rice i got from the Thai food for the fridge beef. For the Thai food for tomorrow I got egg plant curry and some Tom Kha soup.
I am still working on the fridge and working on laundry. Once I get the laundry restarted and the fridge piece washed and drying. I am going to look at my closet and see about clearing the block in my closet that makes my life miserable and items hard to put up.
And I forgot to mention what I was stopping by for…. I have known that there is enhanced options on some tv shows and movies for the visually impaired it is called AD. Well tonight I was checking it out. I do like to use closed captions when i watch things which are for hearing impaired. I am not really hearing impaired but I swear sometimes between the music and the mumbling it is hard to figure out what certain actors are saying in some movies.
So the AD was really nice - it describes what is going on in the scene if you cannot see it in an unobtrusive way. I thought this will work when i am cleaning house as I am not supposed to be watching tv anyway glued to it. So I am going to give it a try with finding a new movie that I own and turning on the AD feature and listening to it as I work on house.

thanks, TML. the AD feature sounds helpful. I think I will get closed captioning when we go see Dune this weekend. SO loud! then I can wear my earplugs.
I did not have the exact paperwork I needed, but close enough to get my tax question answered. Such a nice service from the library. I also got four coffee table books and a magazine to read at night instead of scroll.
then we went grocery shopping and the kitty litter and eye drops were on sale, yay. I also got some Bactine for the itch.
DVD is having lunch. I am paranoid about eating anything. I need to prep some veggies to snack on. cut up the carrots, celery, jicama and peppers.
but first a rest. read the magazine.

Sorry about the unavailable onion soup mix TML, do you usually get groceries delivered instead of going to the store? I do shipping and in store, but when I only get to the actual store only every 3 weeks I have to be sure to anticipate what I need since so many things can't be shipped. Delivery ends up costing too much, and I remember from when my sister used it, they would often not have things or make mistakes.
What I miss the most is having certain produce items every day. I mentioned to a friend that I was starting to get foot cramps again, and she says--you should eat a banana every day. I explained that, yes, I would love to eat a banana every day, but they only stay fresh for 3 days after a shopping trip so I only get to eat 3 bananas in a row and then none for the rest of the 3 weeks! They stay good a few additional days in the fridge, but that doesn't help because by the time I've eaten the fresh ones the ones I put in the fridge have now been in there too long and don't taste good.
Besides, I eat other things that have potassium in them--beans, sweet potatoes, peanut butter. Not to mention a multi-vitamin every day. So I don't know if more bananas would help my foot cramps.
I feel like I'm getting to the end of my productivity today. The grow light is assembled and works. I won't be using it for a while yet, I'm picturing this one to be for seedlings that have been repotted once or twice. I want to do all of the potting and other messy parts upstairs, as it is there will be 2 rooms with plant mess, I don't want dirt all over the living room floor from my messy potting methods.
I need to check around to see if there is a small dog rescue in the neighborhood that would want to come pick up my leftover dog food/treats. I had just placed a big food order a week and a half ago, not to mention the medication order around the same time. I will put the dry food from the open package (there's a lot of it) out for the birds, they eat dry dog food--I know this because my senior client used to throw dry dog and cat food out for the birds in her yard all the time. Too bad I can't specifically put food out for possums--they would eat it. And probably raccoons too. But there is some canned food and some unopened packages of expensive treats that I would rather get to a rescue, if possible.
I'm going to take another 20 minute reading break, and then think about what to have for dinner. Maybe I can do a few more things after dinner, I keep forgetting that I don't have to get ready for bed as early as before.

Hi Diane, No I do curbside and they toss it in the trunk. I then put up the perishables when I get home and the rest I do over time. I am feeling better so I could go in more but I am still not up to going in and having it be a mad house with long lines.

Oh I get it, so you don't even see what's in the bags. And it wouldn't matter if you saw something missing right away anyway, since they would have given it to you if they had it in stock. Well, I hope you can get your soup mix this week!
Our mail was finally delivered, and I was surprised to find a package on the porch, that I wasn't expecting. Even more surprised to see the name of the pharmacy again, when my order for medication that I now do not need already came a couple of days ago. The dog was getting two medications from this pharmacy, one cheaper, one more expensive. I needed the cheaper one, I had another few weeks supply of the more expensive one so I didn't order that one. Well--guess what they did. They also sent me, and charged me, for the second medication that I DID NOT ORDER. Everyone, beware of COVETRUS Pharmacy. What a nightmare they have been. This means I will be on the phone to them on Monday, and they're the people that are hard to reach by phone. I do not need this aggravation now.
Okay, that is it for today.
Good night everyone, see you tomorrow!
Diane

Its good for him to be out and walking but he's getting older sitting on the couch all day i feel. Dishes can wait until tomorrow I am happy with getting the kitchen floor mopped and steamed, it was so bad i had to do it today clothes are all hanging to dry i did a quick PUPA but not enough I need to go through some piles and boxes, probably not going to happen though Kitchen needs alot of work....ugh...

Diane it’s just as likely that you need more magnesium as potassium to stop your cramps. I used to get terrible cramps in my calf muscles, in my feet, even my thumbs, and a few times in my thigh, which was the absolute worst. I started taking magnesium supplements and it really helped. Doctors who are informed will tell you that nearly everyone today is mineral deficient because our soils are very depleted. That banana could very well have much leas potassium in it than the charts say. If it’s not in the soil, it can’t be in the plant. I found this product online, and I highly recommend it. Since I started using it, I’ve had no cramps and I ‘d swear I have more energy and motivation, and ability to get things done. It’s called Keto Chow Daily Minerals. It’s liquid that you add to water, or whatever you like. It contains every mineral humans need. Much easier than a whole bunch of supplements! It does taste salty if you add too much, but I put in a quarter teaspoon every time I drink water, and I don’t taste it at all. www.ketochow.xyz/products/daily-minerals

Hi ! Long day here. Got up early. Did most of dailies, took a shower and washed my hair. My DD picked me up at 8 :30 and we drove to DGD's home and got baby Aidan. Baby sat and oh boy, he is now so RAMBUNCTIOUS ! Says a lot and makes short sentences. NO a lot , on his part. He acts like he is two !!! We did take him for a walk and it messed with my already sore back. Guess I should be taking more walks at home. His Mom and Dad came and we all had pizza. He is starting to throw around his toys a lot, I mean THROW !! I kept quiet about it, but I wanted to correct him more than he was being corrected. I mean just verbal correction. He is going to be a handful when the new baby comes in less than 2 months, I think. But he is so precious !!
DD brought me home about 5:00 PM. I took out the trash, unpacked and put away a Chewy order which was on the porch when I arrived home, and fell asleep on the couch.
A pleasant day, but so tiring. It had been a rough night last night anyway. But no way was I going to cancel and miss my opportunity to see DD and Aidan.
My best to everyone.

I am in a mental pfffft stage today. I worked through several blocked areas of the house and need to work on more today. The mental pfffft is how hard a worked yesterday and how many things I needed to get done that I got done and overall the house doesnt look any better at all. I was doing prep work for the house to eventually look better and that had to be done for the house to look better (this I know) but visible progress at least a little would be nice too. Maybe today in addition to continuing the prep work I will focus some time on visible progress too.. My first item of the day is going to get some breakfast out (curbside at my fav Irish place) and then get started on the day. I already pushed out of the bedroom 4 empty clothes baskets. The cats were all big eyed and I am sure I will find at least one in the top clothes basket when I go out. The baskets are heading down to the basement as I could use them down there when i eventually get ready for the basement sorting. I will keep one upstairs - the one that fits on the rollator (ie the smaller one). oust that is very very impressive!

My mom couldn't eat enough bananas either - she ate dried apricots every day - more potassium than bananas.

hi all happy Sunday I read the thread and what an interesting mix of information and thoughts here! Diane you have an outdoor staircase? Sounds cool. TML I might try that recipe sometimes if I get the gumption catcats Aiden sounds like an adorable handful oust I too am dealing with anxiety mylittlescholar hive and itch ugh lennon thanks for the thread so ...I am in very sluggish state this weekend. I was on Friday too. I think I am just exhausted from work and the DD stuff. Things in DD world seem ok right now, phew and I'll take it! Friday night I went out to meet a friend and see a local band. It was fun. She has a daughter one year older than DD and told me she too gets the phonecalls ...it was encouraging! yesterday I had dinner with my college roomie! she has an older DD but she could also commiserate with mothering young adults --harder than we all expected! I have not been productive otherwise. Puppy has been walked, dishes done, that is about it. I don't want to overpromise my day today but here is my plan (I woke up about 5 am and did wordle et al and have been binging on shows, and also intermittent animal encounters with my tribe) It is very cold here but will warm up (took puppy for a walk in 23 degrees yesterday at first my face hurt but i quickly warmed up) here is my basic plan for today find 3 items for lenten challenge get ready for church go to church drop off donations immediately thereafter go to grocery store put groceries away write down bill due dates for one month tally up debt and compare to past month records clean litter pour drano stuff down bathroom drain use glass cleaner on doors and mirrors and glass table top mop kitchen floor walk puppy eat a meal do a load of laundry darks do a load of laundry work blouses wash my hair for work tomorrow chill.... so I hope I can follow that along. just church and groceries and dog walk will be over 3.5 hours of my Sunday

Good morning!
Still didn't sleep well--I was awake for almost 2 hours in the middle of the night, so I slept a little past my 6am alarm. I don't want to start doing that but I really do think my sleep will get better as time goes on.
TML, work on whatever spot visually irritates you the most, that will make you feel better. I'm still not back to baseline, but maybe when I clean up the mess from the living room project I'll feel more like decluttering the other spots.
Oust, you are brave to repair things using video instructions!
Megtreb, thanks for posting--I think there should also be magnesium in a lot of the foods I eat, although there's probably more potassium in my diet than magnesium. I do know I have eaten fewer seeds the last years as my teeth aren't as good, and I know they're a good source. I had the weird, alternating hand and foot cramps on the night after the euthanasia, so if there's a stress component that could be an answer too--luckily I haven't had any since.
It's chilly right now but the high will be around 60!
I have to decide if I'm shopping tomorrow because if so I'll have to get ready--the next chance weather-wise is not until Friday. I just don't know if I have the energy for that walk yet, plus I would like to call the pharmacy as soon as they open and get that issue resolved. I'm not desperate for any groceries but now that I've been talking about fresh food I would like to buy some things.
Today I'll try to get back to decluttered, I will also try to do more work on the reading room plant tables.
Diane
