15 min tidy/clean/declutter each room once a weekLR Kitchen Craft EntrywayBathroomChickens ** I have been so wishy washy on this not sure which direction to go. Really don't feel I have the time or energy to hatch my own. So I may just buy a few and see if I can hatch some this fall.Sort out the older hens in the breeder coop. I need to sort out and remove those girls that aren't really up to the breed standard and move them to the layer house.Sort out and leg band last years pullets. Move to a section of the breeder house for the summer; it's a bit cooler than the big layer house. **To move birds I need to repair some screening on the divider doors first** Sort out the boys from last year and pick a couple keepers.Process the rest of them for the freezer.Once the pullets are moved, clean out their coop to put the indoor chicks in. (it's the only safe place I can get an extention cord to for their heater)GoatsMuck out the kidding stall for early April kidding **I've been working on this a bit at a time, maybe about half done** All mucked out When it's closer to time I'll add some fresh bedding over the dirt.GardenPlant potatoes;** working in pots for a lot of things this year, still rounding up pots and buckets for thesecontinue to plant seeds indoors and keep potting up the ones that are ready Weeding, mulching, watering** well I didn't do much of the list but I did tidy up one garden area, collecting, sorting and stacking all the bigger pots. Made a couple batches of potting soil, potted up about 100 tomato plants, repotted some herbs that were root bound.**Still planting tomatoes along with peppers and eggplant seeds. I have 1 month till the plant sale so trying to get as much going as I can. **I have over 400 tomato plants in their 3" inch pots with a lot more started in the house. I have just 4 weeks until our plant sale so this week will be a big push to get a lot of things started like flowers and herbs.BusinessCheck with man about fixing the well pump saw him yesterday, he is still trying to find a replacement housing for where mine split.End of month file sales taxBuy city biz license for this yearMom's estateBank; did they order new checks? lady didn't really answer me the other day and never called me back about some paperwork they want more than an hour at the bank. Yes can use old checks but need to get new with trust name on them. Have to update certificate of trust so appt to go back on Wed with death certs and such... mmmm so now I need to find those. Well like I know where they are (I think) it's a matter of getting to them... **Two more hours at the bank. Changed around the kinds of accounts so when I disperse most of the funds we won't get any monthly fees. But that did mean having to order new checks so have to wait for them. Message all beneficiaries for updated address info Sort bank statementsMake an accounting to go out with checks I will disburse laterCall resale shop and get printouts of items sold (owner gave me checks but no printout)whew. looks overwhelming and impossible **to finish the whole list by the end of the month.... But I can at least make some progress

This will be a busy week for me, so It's going to be tough to do much most of this week... But on Saturday, I dropped off 3 boxed of DD's stuff at her house (There will be more!) Today I put out a box of old papers/magazines/etc to be recycled I went to the thrift store and dropped off 3 boxes of random kitchen stuff and a bag of my mom's clothes that I had thought I might make a memory quilt from. I gave up on the idea of the quilt. A couple of years ago I signed up for a decluttering course, where there were weekly assignments over the course of several weeks. One assignment was to sort through your kitchen. One box was for donating/trash, but one box was supposed to be for things we rarely used, maybe hadn't used in a long time, but weren't sure about getting rid of. Over the course of the next several months, we were supposed to realize that we liked having more space in our cabinets/drawers/countertops, and really didn't need all these things we had boxed up. The goal was to donate the box after several months. It's been over a year, and today, I donated that box to the thrift store.

Okay! It's the last day of the month already.
I haven't visited this thread, or done anything for the challenge, after mid-month. I had my handyman come in to take out an old walk-in tub and change it to a shower, and I envisioned the work taking a week at the most. He found all kinds of other problems with the electrical and plumbing, and the result is that he is still not done with the original project, and in fact will be here for probably 3 additional days this coming week.
I'm going to post the April challenge, which for me will basically be the same as the March challenge since I got so far behind.
I will come back and read all the posts here this coming week.
As always, thank you all for participating!

Well, I did the filing cabinet, most of the tidying of the DR desk, and getting the pans out of the oven. But due to much knee and right ankle pain, the rest did not get done. So the Christmas ornaments are not in their new boxes and the yard clean-up was not even started. I was not able to reach anyone to groom Mocha and need to try again.
I will probably slide some into April and and may not take on much more since I still have pain and also there is a death in my immediate family.

catcats I read about your situation on the other thread - sending you hugs, love and prayers. Looks like most of us were derailed for one reason or another. Here are some for your April plans. I've had an absolutely miserable cold/asthma/bronchitis/maybe worse for three weeks. Outside of a brief period before it all started and a "prednisone rush" - I only made partial progress. 1) Finish office and spare room. Office is "good enough". Actually got filing caught up and was able to close the roll top. The spare room is housing my last two projects - hanging things and all the unused electronics for donation or e-waste. Need DH for that sort and he is sick as well.2) Finish our bedroom with all the things that need to be hung and put back from the kitten proofing. Fingers crossed it will survive. Hung the stuff that had existing nails. Emptied out a bin and put back in various places - so far everything is still intact. Moved two tables out of our bedroom.3) Hang a lot of pictures, etc. Only ones from our bedroom 4) Do a dish shift now that I have a buffet cabinet. This will impact four different areas. Done BUT didn't realize how PACKED everything was - I didn't make much of a dent in excess room in the cabinets I was emptying - just much less chance of breakage. 5) A minor clean-up of kitchen cabinets - people that are coming are real foodies and have little sense of boundaries. NO6) Organize people we want to see and things we want to do back at parents' old house. Did - then undone Will try again for May. April list is all about the mini-reunion we are hosting and getting stuff on the move. PC

I need to use up some essential oils and i tried putting a drop in the toilet and its really nice
This is a good idea, oust!
Mary, I'm having trouble with keeping up with the seedlings I'm growing under 3 grow lights, I can't imagine having to deal with 400 tomato seedlings!
Scholar, I like your "What I Did Instead" category, which pretty much sums up the last two and a half weeks for me!
The week before the handyman came, I did 10 minutes of filing, finished cleaning the bedroom closet except for one box of my sister's things that I had saved, I didn't want to deal with that so put it back in the closet--the rest of it looked good, though. I also did 30 minutes of old paper so the hour I listed for a goal was done, and I think I counted around an hour on seedlings.
I stopped keeping track of time on the seedlings once the bathroom work started, because I would grab time when I could and go up and repot a few things here and there. I spent quite a bit of time on them though, and my grow light area is pretty full so I don't know what to do when I run out--I have about 6 peat pellets to repot now and that will take up the last space on the last table. I will have to resort to rotating them under the light and hope they don't get too etiolated.
I will just have to keep going on all my goals again for April.
