Good morning all!
Thanks for starting the thread, lennon!
Sleep was not good last night, couldn't fall asleep, woke up way too many times. One issue last night was that while trying to fall asleep I would hear sounds from the back of the house that could have been my brick barrier upstairs falling down--once I even went and opened the downstairs back door figuring that if the racoon was upstairs that would disturb her and I'd hear her, but she was not there, and this morning it's all intact. So once again, my mind goes places that keep me awake. I still have hopes that my sleep will get better, though.
Today I have houseplant care to catch up on, plus I would like to set up some seed pellets/trays so I can start the first seeds soon. I also have no food in the fridge so need to make brown rice and at least 2 kinds of veggies.
The high will be 60 today, which will be comfortable.
Happy weekend, everyone!
Diane

Hi lennon and Diane !!! Thanks for getting the weekend started Lennon !!! So far so good. I have cleaned kitty boxes, swept floor, vacuumed, spot cleaned floor but it did not need much, cleaned kitty area in kitchen, tossed out trash, got mail, did some recycling, and am now taking a break. I also got breakfast and went on a drive. Next up is starting a load of laundry and then working on master bathroom again. I also need to empty the vacuum in to the trash. Then work on entry way.

Got the laundry started, emptied vacuum into the trash, and know need to start on bathroom again.
I clean and clean and clean and it never seems to get really any better so three blocks I want to take care of today.
1. Either the bed topper is the right size or out it goes for donation. I have had it rolled up and in the road for ages. I bought it when i had the other bed have issues and i thought I bought a full so when other bed was fixed i could put topper on the other bed but i could have messed up in all the drama and got a queen. It is had to tell what the heck it is since it is just bulky and been rolled up for years.
2. Getting rid of the bed stand. I bought this bed stand as it was going to be the omg solution for all my problems. Well no matter where i put it that darn bedstand causes a disaster as I cant get under it to get anything when something falls under it. I had a total disaster on one side of bed so then thought I will move it to the open side and then i had a disaster no that side and then i put it over by the dresser which i have not been able to get in the dresser and it is disaster over there too. It is hard to imagine how many things in life fall on the floor (at least in mine) and get picked up on a continual basis (i think i have kitty help in this regards as Tiggy likes to knock stuff on to the floor especially if it looks like I am sorting it and it is neatly stacked up). So the area under and around that darn bedstand just fills up and it is flat so it is like a table and I cant get on floor and it is too low for me to go under it. So it is going - let it be the omg be all end all for someone else preferably someone who can get on the floor to keep it not a disaster zone.
3. Moving my dish stand back into the kitchen post all the floor work. It is time. I am sick of that dish stand in my entry way especially now that the floors are fixed. It is empty and sitting there. I need to put it back to where it belongs and fill it back up with what goes in it rather than having stuff scattered around.

Good morning TML!
How are you doing moving the annoying things?
My internet went out for a while. And this morning my cable TV was frozen when I put it on and I had to fiddle with it to get it to work. My Comcast contract expires next month, which means a horrible phone call with them, so I hope I don't have to call before that to see what's going on.
Next:
Start load of laundry 10 minutes on first floor Bring a few more things down to the basement 10 minutes refilling animal food containers

Happy Weekend! I have a volunteer commitment later this afternoon so I should really be moving and getting stuff done! I have procrastinated on a big thing, finally made a decision, and now I am in full out scramble mode. did not need to be like that. I did it to myself.
led to a sort of melt down today, just me!
I am just depleted!
so yesterday I had the "scary" meeting to run at work and one of the derailers actually was so mad at me for an answer I gave to a question that they sent an email with a bunch of people copied in and said my work was lackluster and they were quitting the project. this was quite extreme and I think just a hope to mess up the project long term and mess with me. The email was actually a benefit because I replied all and informed the group that the work being referred to was not mine, actually involved the derailer, and described the process. So I have a written record. Also I was calm and business like. but such drama! I am too old for this, but that helps me too as by this age, nothing is going to push me too much over the deep end at work. some of the other team members are hoping the person really does quit but I think it is just an attempt to cause trouble and they'll be back. the derailer was really mad I think because they were trying to make me look like an idiot in front of the team and I side stepped it and they looked like said idiot! I kind of hope they stay off the project!
other work stuff totally unrelated to derailer is that there is a shake up in the leadership of my division so more uncertainty over all. that was all the result of ugly politics at the higher levels.
so I am thinking 3.5 years until retirement. I am grateful to have a job. so I am trying to focus on the benefits while there is such poor management and leadership there. I am trying to distance myself from the drama an think this is just something I am doing right now, it is not my life!
I need to get moving today and clean because I am having company tomorrow.
I have so much to do I don't even want to make a list here as it will be too much pressure.
I do need to get caught up with my lenten challenge, so I'll do that next, and that has a ripple effect because it helps my bedroom have a shot at being neater.

Hi bree I am glad the derailer was hoisted by their own petard. They deserve it! HI Diane - the bed table/stand is out in the garage to be moved tomorrow. The bed topper is going tomorrow too. It is raining today so the contractor cannot move things in his truck that could be damaged by the rain. The dish stand I need to get some books in order before it can be moved. So tomorrow I hope. I am so glad that blocking items are moved so i can now try to pick up the bedroom as I can get to stuff now.

I am catching up a bit on threads I missed when I was sick in bed. (I only have a desktop computer, no laptop or access with my phone, etc.).
desposito I was so very sad to read of the passing of your dearest dog. I felt a deep sadness when I read that you had scheduled euthanasia. The dread of waiting those few days is so awful. When you wrote that it was over the tears came for you and your baby. You were the absolute best dog mama right down to knowing when it was time to let go. It does take a while for the routine reminders to leave our systems ~ feeding, going to the store and passing the pet food aisle with no need to buy, seeing the Chewy ads and then remembering no need to order, listening for sounds of distress. Despite our pain, there is comfort in knowing that our dear old angels are no longer suffering in any way. I haven't read past that week yet but I hope as each day passes the pain of your loss becomes less.
catcats I hope all is well with your DD and her DD.
bree Balancing work (and jerks) and mothering from a distance is hard! I will be praying that you continue to have all the inner strength you need!!
to everyone struggling in any way.

I just spent about half an hour in the yard--I meant to cut back some plants, but I'm so confused about what I'm supposed to be doing with the plant stems, and there are still huge branches the handyman cut off the mulberry trees sitting in the back of the yard, and I just felt overwhelmed so didn't do anything with them. I might not be able to do anything until the yard waste pickup starts again, and I'm not sure when that is--we have a new waste company this year so it might not even be the same as last year.
I did sweep up the big pile of mulch that I put on the sidewalk in between the yard and the porch, when it was icy and I was slipping on it. There's a depression there so the water collects and freezes, hopefully we won't have anymore serious ice for the rest of the season, and besides, I don't have to go into the yard now if I don't want to. I also cut back a large patch of woody nightshade stems that were on the side of the house, but I had to throw them in the back part of the yard, they won't fit in the yard waste can. I noticed that the patch of tulips on the side of the house are coming up--it's too early!
Now of course, my back hurts from bending and cutting the patch down. I need to remember to sit on my outside chair to do things like that.
I will do some sitting down tasks now.
