Thank you danny, it does get better with time, but it sure takes a very long time. It's funny that you mentioned listening for signs of distress--today I kept hearing squeaking noises, and they had to have come from outside, but every time it sounded like whining and I was startled with that very fleeting thought that I needed to jump up and check on her. While out in the yard I finally saw one of my next door neighbors and told them about her, they're the ones that have two dogs and recently lost their very old pug, so they are sympathetic.

Hi ! Danny15--Thank you for your good wishes for my family. My DD is well and so is my DGD. The baby girl is due in about 6 weeks an we will have to wait to see her assessment when she shows up. Her ultrasound is mildly concerning. She may just be a small baby or she could have problems. I believe in my heart that she will be fine, but I will also be relieved when I know for sure. I did the dailies, took down the trash, did some laundry, and some PUPA, etc. The nice thing was that I spent about 2 hours trashing, recycling, shredding, and reorganizing many papers that were in my bedroom filing cabinet. I had done it maybe a year ago, but I was ready to let go of much more now. Emptied the shredder too. My best to all for a nice Sunday. Thank you, lennon , for staring this thread. catcats

catcats best wishes for new baby girl! Morning everyone! Sending out good energy and productivity for this Sunday! Like usual I am on the struggle bus trying to get things done. It is always hard with having so much to do that even if I do something it really does not register that anything has gotten done. I am trying to down size to a reasonable amount of stuff to try to handle as I think that is part of it. One of my friends was telling me she is having to deal with her late mother in laws over 1000 book library (she said 60 mega boxes that need to be broken down into 2 to 4 boxes each so that things can even be moved - the movers moved the mega boxes in but now no one at the house can do much with them). The overall plan is to take what few books the family wants and then sell the rest on ebay and then what doesn’t sell see about donating them to somewhere. My problems are tiny by comparison but it is hard to admit but I am less able to deal with what i have let alone a mega library. So i am drinking some water and going to get started (I had DF/GF cold pizza for breakfast).

Good morning TML!
I am on the struggle bus
I think that struggle bus is crowded, lots of us are on there too!
she is having to deal with her late mother in laws over 1000 book library
As I keep saying, the hoarding impulse never totally leaves--when I read this I thought -- LET ME SEE THEM! RIGHT NOW!
TML, do you have a visually problematic area to work on today? So you can get some little spot to look better, which will make you feel better?
My sleep was better last night, no long periods awake, although I did wake up at 5:20 and couldn't fall back for the 40 minutes til the alarm rang. But definitely better than the last few days.
The high today will be 70, so I'll try to go back to the yard for at least 15 minutes--maybe I can cut down some of the tree branches so they can be put in a pile.

I am on the struggle bus! I think I have a year long pass!!! Thanks Diane and TML and danny15 for your support. I am a little worried about derailer - they are truly a dark force. Chaos and I have actually made official complaints about them but were told no law against them being a jerk at work -only problem would be if it was due to discrimination due to sex or race. Derailer will def try to work against me proactively. Meanwhile I did my volunteer work yesterday at a health and wellness event that was fun. But I did not do all my housework! I did go through clothes in my room and try to organize my closet. It’s at that stage where it looks worse than it did before but I know it’s better because more is out. I also went through two boxes of papers and got it down to one box after the health and wellness event, I dropped off my Lenten donations, I took puppy for a walk. It was dark by then, so we didn’t do our usual route. We did happen to see five deer and when they saw us they took off, but it was so graceful to watch them leaping away I still have so much to do that making a list scares me so I’m going to say next start a load of laundry vacuum, living room Dust Clean litter

Diane that is a good idea. I have been working on clearing areas that are blocks so I can get stuff cleared up but really have not made a visual difference in anything. Even the closet I just finished up which looks really good - usually has the door closed so it looks about the same as always when you look at the hall way except now it is not stuffed full of stuff i dont want or use. It is a functioning closet. I even added in two nice hangers in case guests would show up and want to hang up a coat. Also my coat is in the closet instead of tossed on kitchen chair.
I knew my friends mother in law and the thought of her 1000 book library does not tempt me at all and i love books. She and my mother were like to peas in a pod but not related by genetics and they never even knew each other but it was like they were personality twins separated at birth.

Yay! TML, you are allowed to open the door of the closet every time you pass by to admire your good work!
her 1000 book library does not tempt me at all
Is that because she's so like your mother, and you don't like the books that your mother reads?
Bree, it makes no sense that someone can't fire or at least reprimand someone for how they do their job. So, someone can be hired and sit in a chair all day long and do nothing, and still get paid, as long as they don't discriminate against a fellow employee based on sex or race? I used to have to be up on employment law when I was a supervisor, and people can be given written warnings about things they do, and that should include poor cooperation with coworkers. As long as the proper number of written warnings are given, people can be fired--I know the law is different in different states, but I think the higher-ups in your company are jerks too because they don't want to bother with things like this. You shouldn't have to put up with people like that.
I think I have a year long pass!
Good morning scholar! I read that you're realizing you have to cut back on commitments, that's good. Deal with the most important things of the day first, and then after, give yourself a break. The other things will wait.

Diane, I know it’s crazy. We actually talked to three different offices. This person has a reputation for being a monster.
Taking a break I did vacuum the living room, upholstered furniture, the kitchen in the dining room. I dusted the furniture in the living room. I started the load of laundry, taking a little break then I’ll get back to it.
