Happy Monday...I think.
After a tiring weekend I found it very hard to drag my sorry butt out of bed this morning. Then I could not locate my keys. I found my spare key and made it to work. (In the meantime, DH located my keys at home,. )
I totally forgot to drop off the bags of donate with my mom for her friend to pick up today. UGH. I did think of it last night but I was so tired.
OK - things to do - good morning to everyone who jumps on board today!

busy morning. I have heard fire trucks and police cars rushing all over this busy little city this morning. The sky has been so sunny and blue this morning. As I look outside the window I see the tree with lots of red buds. The leaves are getting so ready to pop open. There will be a local honor escort for two of the soldiers killed in that horrific helicopter crash in Texas. I am hoping that my timing will allow me to miss most of the traffic. I will support the families in another way - perhaps a donation.
Tonight is helping my mom shower and making her bed.

Hi lennon womble ohblondie ! Thanks lennon for the week kick off ! I need to get a lot done this week. I am OOO today and tomorrow trying to get some things done for Mom. ohblondie yay for DH finding your keys! A friend of mine made a suggestion that I just need to (even if I have to get out masking tape) make a little box and clean in that box and then break and then move to next small little box of an area. She thinks I am just being overwhelmed by it all and can’t keep at it or even clear anything so it looks cleared.

Good afternoon!
Hello to womble and ohblondie!
Thanks for starting this week's thread, lennon.
Well, this project is turning out to be bigger than I thought, I was hoping it could be done in three days, but no.
Removing the old tub was a big job, after disconnecting pipes and electrical stuff the edging was pried off and the tub had to be cut into sections to get it out. Then--the handyman removed the vinyl wall pieces that were around and above the tub--the installers used something the handyman called "mirror mastic"--a black, goopy, stretchy, sticky stubstance that was ALL OVER the inside of the walls. It stuck to everything--the handyman's gloves, knee pads, shoes, and everything else within reach--at one point it looked like a scene out of a horror movie, sticky black strings were hanging down from the ceiling and moving as they stretched out. I would have been laughing but I could see how much trouble it was giving him, and I knew that this was delaying the demolition-probably by half a day. Underneath the vinyl pieces were old tiles that had to be pried off the wall, and they were all sticky with this black goo too--ugh. I was helping by taking some pieces of stuff out to the garbage and got the stuff on my hands, fortunately Goo Gone took it right off, from the tile floor too--but it was harder to get the stuff off his shoes and knee pads, and he ended up throwing his work gloves away.
Then he discovered that the two ends of the alcove the tub was in were not at all straight, and because he's going to be putting tile around the walls he's going to have to pry more boards off and re-do.
And, while talking about it, since things are ripped out, now is the time to put a ceiling fan in the bathroom--neither bathroom has one, and I said to go ahead and plan for that too. Current estimate to finish everything is SIX days. And that doesn't count a half day of the other things that have to be done. And if the weather is right for tilling, that's another half day.
So right now I'm feeling overwhelmed, I really don't want him here every day this week and two next week, but I think that's what'll happen. This increases the cost too, of course.
I'm going to have dinner now and relax the rest of the evening. I spent most of the day watching the work and helping move things around, I stopped for a few short periods and repotted some of my little seedlings already, but that's about all I did.
It's going to be a long week!

I stayed up way too late last night. So I am tired and miserable right now. Want to make hay while the sun shines. We got some kitchen furniture over the weekend to create more storage. But now I have another sprawling project. I honestly want to cry about it! Just because I'm sleep deprived. I'm also very excited!
I set up two 6' tables in the living room and we unloaded a table and rolling island and stuff that was on the floor. So now to find places for all that stuff--either that, or put aside to donate. Tuesday they accept at our favorite non-profit thrift store.
DONE: up in the nick of time got dressed DVD made coffee and drove me to my PT came home and iced my knees ate
then took a nap 1:00 uppy took meds updated log checked spreadsheet checked email & deleted
signed up for investment acct checked calendar made corrections discussed kitchen reorganization
NEXT UP: art break start reloading cabinets
ETA: oh THERE you are, TML and Diane!

Good afternoon TML!
I remember some people here, including Swampy, who used to break their rooms down into square feet, and report square feet cleared. I don't know if they made diagrams on paper, or marked off sections of the floor, or just mentally measured, but it's another form of using baby steps!

HI mylittlescholar and Diane Diane - work on the house always seems to go over for me and then i add a few things I had not thought of in process. I am just trying to declutter right now and to get stuff ready for the next part of work which would be the master bathroom. The windows, front door will have to be after it warms up a bit. Diane I just need to see space clearing I think. I have been picking up and decluttering but it has made a difference but it is really hard to see or tell since it is all over. I did just finish clearing off all my back counters in the kitchen for the electrical work tomorrow. I had way too much on those counters. I am taking a small break now and then will get back to the space I am clearing out now. I will turn up music or listen to a pod cast.

Oh and with all my complaining about decluttering and stuff up to my ears, I bought a few small items at a charity auction sale. It was for autism and 100% of the proceeds goes to the charity which has a good reputation. I bought some signed playing cards and a couple of signed funko pops. So hopefully small enough that it does not add too much to the clutter. I also did not spend too much but a reasonable contribution - some people bought some omg stuff and really expensive funko pops.
I also bought a few items from the auction prior to the charity to make sure I knew what I was doing at a smaller $1 start auction that was being held at the same place but a couple of days earlier. I am sending those to my niece. It may sound crazy but one guy at the auction misbid and was like omg and the charity (which they said they would not but it was a huge misbid) let him have it put back up for another bidding round. It made more money than his original bid so the charity was not out of money for doing it. However, he could not bid on anything else all night. Basically it went out of his account and the money would not be put back until the next day after the auction settled.

Of course I had to look up funko pops, I had never heard of them!
I will need to get ready for bed soon, tomorrow we go to the store to buy supplies for the shower. I will need to get things done tomorrow, I think I can do that while the handyman installs all the replacement lumber and drywall, I've seen that done so I don't need to watch that part. I also have to get back to some yard work, I haven't been out there for a few days now.
Good night everyone!

Yard work is what I just did. It going to be small chunks at a time. I found a rubber broom and a dustpan. Gathered enough for one contractor bag and into the trash right away. I tried to start another project today but it was a failure. I will try another time
