Thank you so much, Diane and MLS and bree, for the compassion about our fallen bridge. Sadly, they are pulling up the poor men who did not make it , and that seems so final. And of course, it IS final. Thank goodness the Mayday was put out right before the crash--90 seconds, I heard--so more cars never did enter the bridge. Had it been rush hour, also, how much worse it could have been. I also appreciate kind feelings about our baby, who may very well be a healthy baby, but it is concerning that she is not growing as much as she should. The next test will be on Friday and I hope nothing else concerning shows up. DGD was told that results may not be in until Monday. Little one is due around the 11th or 12th of April., unless there is an induction. I have been able to keep up with the dailies and laundry and meals, but not additional stuff like vacuuming, because of my ankle and knees. I never had knee probs before, but they are very sore when I get up after sitting a while. Hoping they get better. bree, it sounds like your trip was wonderful and I'm sure it felt good for both of you to get away. Diane, so glad your BR job is almost finished. And MLS, yes, I imagine it was very hard for you to know about the CA fires and also when the freeways collapsed. As you said, it does help to talk about these things, to help assuage the sad feelings. Everyone here is talking about our bridge which was a real Baltimore icon, ever since 1977. People are posting on FB pictures that they took at different times. My best to everyone for a Happy Easter if you celebrate and for a happy Spring---although it isn't feeling too Springy right now. catcats

Good morning everypony!
I didn't know about the Mayday, that is a small blessing at least.
Last night I worked on the Sandworm Potato Chip Diorama--it looks rather silly, but I'm glad to have used the materials we got since we didn't submit one for the Library Peeps Contest. I will spray paint and seal it when it gets a bit warmer.
DVD is off to his monthly Master Gardener's gathering. Don't know if the Class of 22 party tonight is on purpose the same day? We were scheduled to do one in August I think but too many people were on vacation. He will be back after noon and then we have a couple of appointments.
So, this morning is prime time get ready for me.
make sandworm take compost out caffeinate update log take meds check online balance check email check calendar transfer automatic payments to new acct--did four more lay out clothes x2 wash up and get dressed spray Sandworm wash towels & napkins make dip chop veggies clear and set up serving table--75% done set up coffee service--75% done clear out fridge consolidate bathroom stuff tidy and sweep porch and walkway tie cushions onto porch chairs
put out serving and flatware get ice fill cooler put out glasses change into party outfit
do final dishes set up coffee and start it percolating (when?) add tea and kettle and spoons research how to make crepe paper flowers?
make flowers? hang them?

Good afternoon! Sneaking in here while the handyman is sanding and priming in the bathroom, I don't need to see that, plus he's making a lot of dust. All the tile is up, not grouted yet, but it already looks so nice.
The only thing I accomplished so far today is working on the seedlings. I should be using this time to work on paper, but I just can't concentrate on stuff like that. I planned to work in the yard but it's still really cold out, it was supposed to be 50 today but the feels like temp is still in the 30s so not very comfy for outside work.
I'm looking forward to having the next 3 days "off"!

Day 9 is over! Not much progress made today--the handyman did finish the last bit of tiling, but he had to do a lot more repairing/sanding/painting of damaged areas, plus painting the ceiling of the shower, and that took all day. Grouting will be on Monday.
We did go out into the yard to test the very long auger drill bit that I bought to help me put plant stakes in the ground. It worked beautifully, which was a relief--I was trying to think of some kind of elaborate system to help me stake plants this year but I don't think I will need it if this drill bit works. The soil was damp which may have helped, but I can always use it after a rain or after watering. My fear was that the ground was too rocky but it did okay with the rocks, because the handyman advised me to get a masonry bit.
Now I need to have dinner and relax some, I also have to call my decluttering client since we didn't talk this morning.

make potato chip diorama? Oh, my goodness! It would be amazing to have your creativity! P.S. I see that you didn't do it after all, but even having the imagination to think of it is awesome.

Good morning ohblondie and everyone!
I'm waiting for the library to open so I can go there and to the mailbox. I have such a huge to-do list for this weekend, I hope I can get a good portion of it done. Today's forecast high is 55 which sounds good for yard work, assuming it's not like the last few days where the feels-like temp was 15 degrees colder than the actual.
There's one thing I must do this weekend and that's find an air conditioner that's available at a store around here so the handyman can pick it up Monday or Tuesday and install it while he's still working here. I've already looked once and couldn't find anything and got discouraged, so I hope I have better luck this time.

I'm back from the library, I also took paper to the recycling bin and mail to the mailbox.
I will do lists today but also schedule some reading breaks, I have done very little reading the past couple of weeks.
TO DO:
Call decluttering client 10 minutes on plants Restock water in fridge Delete 10 hard emails
