Hi all. Gloomy day today. It should get better later.
done yesterday: -returned new batteries to the store - costs so much less on Amazon! -grocery shopped, brought perishables into the house and put away -vacuum sealed meat, and put in freezer
today: -set up slow-cooking -cat tasks -made and enjoyed hot cocoa
Todo: -dishes -weeding if it warms outside - fill 1 regular trash can - it takes 3 to 4 to fill the large bin for Monday pick-up -neaten around my nesting area -pupa kitchen

But I'm here, it's my time, and I'm going for it. ~ me" I'm in clutterer's anonymous and have been feeling stuck the past few weeks. Thank you for reminding me that recovery takes time. I was able to get so much accomplished back in March and April, but since then I have been feeling discouraged. I need to believe that as I continue to work on my recovery, things will get better. ta-da: Fed the cat. Ate breakfast Logged into a department meeting a few hours ago Moved dishes into the dishwasher and ran a rinse load Listening to CLA meeting Replied to some email messages to-do: Work on decluttering kitchen/dining area Laundry? Work in sewing area which is in dining room

Dust a room. Clean bathroom sink. Update OS. Errands and communication
Call pharmacy to get my meds ready!!!!! Go to pharmacy. Return food items to the three stores. Go to library. Call the Pilates instructor to set appointment. Maybe she tried calling back and it failed somehow. Respond to friend whose call I missed.

I was able to get so much accomplished back in March and April, but since then I have been feeling discouraged. I need to believe that as I continue to work on my recovery, things will get better. The more I proceed, the more I realize this is not a straight-line process, there are many ups and downs. And it's not fast. I guess I just don't believe clean-ups that take a week, and then there are no further problems with 'stuff'. Individuals can get much better, but there is always work to be done. That is simply life. When I started here I was a serious hoarder with only goat-paths in the house, plus the yard. I was always careful about anything wet, and the animals and their care. And over the years I have stopped bringing in 'stuff' (my truth came when I realized that no matter how cool the item(s), there literally was no place left to put anything else! I did value my goat-paths). Right now as I sit here, I judge my place to be somewhat on the messy side. But the mess is just not that bad. A few empty Amazon boxes I left out for the cats to play, some messy surfaces, my 'nest' area, which I have just mostly cleared, the kitchen - but that's not really horrible. The 3 rooms I can see right now, are just not hoarded up any longer. Not that there aren't other places in the house that need attention. But it's so much better than a decade ago. Real progress has been made!! Two realizations help right now - My mood is always so much better when I'm 'working on things' in the house - so keep at it. And, I can only do one thing at a time. And I guess an over-arching constant, continue to just get rid of more stuff. Toss, recycle, donate. Simplify. Everything is just so much easier with less 'stuff' to get in the way. this morning: -organized dirty dishes -minor pupa in kitchen -mostly cleared my 'nest' area -refilled cat food containers todo: -wash dishes -finish cleaning nest area -vacuum -weed if it gets warmer

done: -dishes soaked and washed, and some put away. this was a larger than average batch. -2 larger pots hand washed -lunch made and enjoyed. Now to make a cup of tea.

Thanks for your insight BetsyMarie. I believe part of my problem was that DH blew up at me about 3 weeks ago because he seems to think that If I put my mind to it that I could get my hoard cleaned out in a few days or a few weeks. I had felt that I had been making real progress and I wanted him to be proud of me, but all I got was criticism and threats. He ended up apologizing later, but it really left me feeling discouraged. It did get me motivated to try to find a way to move out, but I realized if I was going to move, I'd have to be able to sort through and pick out what is most important to me first (Plus I'd have to figure out to do with my chickens and the cat) ta-da: Ate some lunch Listened to a CLA self-nurture, guided meditation meeting. Some times I feel like it's a little "out there" but today It was what I really needed. Emptied out a plastic storage bin and rinsed it out in the shower. I want to put some of my fabric in it. Did a tiny bit of work in the garden. I had planted a water iris in my water garden a few days ago, but a raccoon or other creature tore it out. I just replanted it and used a piece of wire hanger to try to hold it in place. I hope this works. to-do: Transplant a few plants in the garden if the weather allows (dark clouds just moved in so I don't know) Laundry? Put quilting fabrics into the plastic bin(s). I am probably going to need at least one more bin, or some small project specific bins, but I can get started. Later: Prep for CLA meeting. I am going to be leading this evening. Oops, I thought that I posted this hours ago. ta-da: Sorted through some fabric, filled up a bin Started the dishwasher Started a load of laundry

ta-da: Scrubbed out microwave. My snack had exploded in there and I am trying to keep it nice Went out for a hike (looking for pink lady slipper wild orchid, but I was too late. The flowers had shrivelled.) Moved laundry to the dryer and then put most of it away
to-do: More prep work for leading CLA meeting. My task is to read/follow a format. I haven't done this before, and I've noticed that others get confused jumping from reading, to leading the discussion, to keeping track of time, then back to reading the next part of the format, etc. Put dishes away
Later: Take care of chickens Get ready for bed.
Confession: I have wanted to buy a kayak for several years now. I just found one on Facebook marketplace and have been in communication with the seller. I may go pick it up tomorrow morning. I see this as a reward for all the hard work I've been putting in.

Hello fellow WIT'ers! I hope you are all fine and rollin' today! Yesterday was a rather exhausting day and I must have walked for more than 5 km running errands! But, I think my body needs some rest now. Anyway, I managed to get up today, so that's a positive, ha ha. Taking note: son in spectrum needs assistance with bathroom, loads of laundry, sweeping floors, window cleaning and yard sweeping and tidying. I think I am going to call for a cleaning lady to help him get in schedule, as I cannot deal with everything on my own. That would make me a superwoman, which I definitely am NOT. He is a special and loved young man, that has remained a teenager and I think he always will be, I have to help him understand he needs help in the house, I will help as much as I can, but I can't buy time to manage everything, I barely have time to manage one house.
Done ~Washed mop heads and refreshed water and cleaning solutions in doggies' mopping buckets. ~Ran all errands concerning work. ~Made DH breakfast. ~Fed the doggies and kitty (DH fed the other cats). ~Started the dishwasher. ~Tidied my work bag. ~Shone the sink. DH took the garbage out.
To do ~Clean rugs. ~Tidy countertops. ~Swish and swipe bathroom. ~Prepare our meals of the day. ~Get some rest.

Hi Nael_C ! Done -Dishwasher is going -Wrote a check to garage door repair guy when he and DH were done. We needed new springs. -Ordered walking poles. I've walked 14 days in a row now, and I've started to realize that I can't keep going faster and faster to raise my heart rate enough, due to my knees. The poles are supposed to give you a more intense workout while being easier on the knees. I'm willing to give them a try. -Cut carrot sticks -Walked -Laundry started in dryer -Made pineapple cream cheese spread To Do -Fill out new-patient form for derm-Vacuum up crumbs under table (thanks for the reminder goldenthreads)-Zoom work-along session (admin tasks)

Hello all. I'm not sure how much I've accomplished, but I did go out and buy a used kayak, paddle, and life vest. I'm hoping that I actually use it. there is a little creek down the road, and I I would like to take it down there sometime, plus there are other local groups that do short trips.
ta-da: Took the trash out Fed the cat, went to the bank. etc.
to-do: I would like to do some more decluttering somewhere. Maybe do a sewing project or knitting? Scrub toilets

Ally kayaking sounds like fun. I'm feeling stuck. The garage door repair kind of threw my morning off. I skipped the Zoom paperwork session because when it was about to start, I was still tied up with other things. Making a new list... Done -Kitchen cleanup 15 min, to make cooking dinner easier -Fold laundry and put away -Made dinner -Replied to two text messages Done before bed -Find new-patient form -Add dinner dishes to dishwasher and run it -Exercise a little more to make my minutes goal
