On March 24, a post of mine was "liked" by a member (dear Angela) who hasn't been active here since 2016, according to her profile, although the last post she made was in August 2017. Having missed Angela for such a long time, I was overjoyed to see her "back". But she doesn't seem to be back, after all - the profile still shows her active no later than 2017. I thought maybe there was another "Angela"; but clicking on the name leads to her profile. takeonestepatatime.proboards.com/post/879579Could someone please enlighten me how the profile data are computed/updated? How could this happen? I am just curious, that's all.

I have noticed this with the accounts of other members. I believe it's tied to whether you opt in or out to being visible. I first noticed this years ago when someone who posted regularly on the WIT thread daily didn't show up as active that day or, indeed, for the previous several years.

Okay, I've looked into this further. If you go into Edit Profile and Settings and click on the Privacy tab, the first choice is called Invisible and has to do with your online status. Pretty sure this is what leads to it looking as if a person hasn't been online or active when in actual fact they might have been.
