This is the Working in Threes Thread (W.I.T.) EVERYONE IS WELCOME, especially if you've never posted before!
The guidelines are simple: - Do some little thing to make your house less squalorous. - Do one more little thing. - Do another little thing. Once you have 3 things done, post them here.- Post the next 3 things you plan on doing. - Go forth and conquer, return and post again. [/color] Remember - if you are tired or sick or injured or depressed or overwhelmed, you are in the right place!
If the next 15 minutes consists of:
- Looked at hopeless living room and felt like crying - Decided you could take empty pop can to kitchen - Put away phone book - Picked up fast food wrappers on coffee table and put them in trash
. . . YOU HAVE ACHIEVED THREE - DOM !!!
You could post:
Ta - Da's - Took pop can to kitchen - Put away phone book - Threw away McDonald's wrappers
Then your To - Do's: - Bring plates and glasses to kitchen - Put dirty socks in hamper - Bring folded towels to linen closet and put away.
Whether you do those three to-do's, or something completely different, once you've gotten 3, come back and post. Remember to take breaks and drink water. Drinking water counts as a Ta-da! If you can notice what the person before you did, it might cheer them up to hear from you. Go forth, have fun, and be generous to yourself with the Ta-das. YOU DESERVE THEM![/b]

Good morning! My ToDos and TaDas this week will most likely relate to my classroom since I have SO much to do and so little time. It's overwhelming to an extreme!! But I do have an assistant that works with me and I can give her tasks to do.
First things first, getting to work!
TaDa: 1. Got up 2. Fed kitties 3. Poured a refreshing cold drink to help wake up (I like coffee but can't do caffeine)
ToDo: 1. Quick shower 2. Get dressed 3. Drop off important form to assistant before heading to a meeting
I'm hoping I can access this board from work so I can keep posting my lists... because I will certainly need the help to focus on tasks!

Morning, Rosebud and teachergrl!
Thanks for starting the thread, Rosebud.
Teachergrl, good luck in your classroom!
I'm back. Actually, I've been back for a couple of days, trying to get the place sorted out between taking care of DH and one of the dogs, since they both came back from vacation with some sort of crud. They're better; I'm tired.
Oh, it's official: we have the World's Cutest Grandson! Parents and baby are doing fine.
Today, I have: -dressed -made the bed -eaten breakfast -taken morning meds
I need to: -unload the dishwasher -empty the sink -start a load of laundry

Hi everyone. I'm also not feeling at all motivated, just tired and cranky.
Good work on actually using your assistant, teachergrl. A lot of people don't use extra help they're given since the assistant will never do things exactly the same way you would. The key is that they will do "good enough"- and if you're lucky, really good.
Ta dah * Got up, but not easily * Fed cats * Had breakfast
To do * UPS to mail 2 boxes * Post Office to mail 2 letters * Go through my "to do" box which is filled with paperwork and mail that I have... well, "to do". I only do it once in a while since it's always pain in the *** stuff like dealing with insurance, etc.

ToDo: 1. Clear top of cubbies 2. Clear reading group table 3. Put away items on floor by closet

Instead I packed up and put away the tent.

My shoulder has really started hurting, so I'm taking a little break. I decided it best to leave the reading table items till tomorrow, as my assistant can do that while I do paperwork and whatnot that she *can't* do for me. I'm also going to call my Mom & sister to come help if they're available. I know sis is (she's 13) but not sure about Mom yet.
TaDas: 1. Cleared top of cubbies (mostly.. except for a couple of items I'm not sure what to do with yet) 2. Started on reading table... moved some things on shelves to make room for putting stuff away. 3. Made a list of ToDo items for my assistant and/or "helpers" tomorrow as well as myself
ToDo: (I have 1 hour left) 1. Load 1 box and 2 large tubs (carefully, due to shoulder) into car. 2. Sort through items by closet door & classroom door 3. Figure out what's for dinner

Excellent job at cleaning up while taking care of your body, teachergrl. Knowing when to stop is sometimes half the battle when it comes to aching body parts.
Great to have you back, bluefrog. I'm sure your grandbaby is the cutest, smartest, most adorable, and most loveable one around! My grandmother made us all baby quilts. I still have mine. Do you have a project underway?
I'm logging on late today -- awesome progress, everyone.
TADAs: 1. Up/dressed/meds 2. Took care of some organizational and planning e-mails, and some tentative summer planning 3. Came here for inspiration -- and was inspired!
TODOs: 1. Return phone call on dreaded Paperwork issue -- and follow through with Paperwork 2. Pay and mail bills 3. Put dry swimsuits and miscellaneous sandals I kicked off away
I do need to do something -- or a lot of somethings -- more substantial, but I froze up thinking of a third thing, so I figured listing something easy was better than listing something overwhelming.
Wishing you all well!

Lots of work done today! WTG, everybody!
DONE: -hunted in the fabric stash (I don't have the right color, so there's a shopping trip in store tomorrow) -folded/hung and put away laundry -switched second load to the dryer
TO DO: -scoop the cat box--really, this time -fold and put away towels -do something about dinner
Yes, westsidestory, I'm going to start a multi-colored Bow Tie (mostly shades of blue, yellow, and green, on white) quilt for the World's Cutest Grandson. He won't be big enough to use it safely until Christmas, which is fine--it's too hot here to quilt in summer, anyway.
