This is the Working in Threes Thread (W.I.T.) EVERYONE IS WELCOME, especially if you've never posted before!
The guidelines are simple: - Do some little thing to make your house less squalorous. - Do one more little thing. - Do another little thing. Once you have 3 things done, post them here.- Post the next 3 things you plan on doing. - Go forth and conquer, return and post again. [/color] Remember - if you are tired or sick or injured or depressed or overwhelmed, you are in the right place!
If the next 15 minutes consists of:
- Looked at hopeless living room and felt like crying - Decided you could take empty pop can to kitchen - Put away phone book - Picked up fast food wrappers on coffee table and put them in trash
. . . YOU HAVE ACHIEVED THREE - DOM !!!
You could post:
Ta - Da's - Took pop can to kitchen - Put away phone book - Threw away McDonald's wrappers
Then your To - Do's: - Bring plates and glasses to kitchen - Put dirty socks in hamper - Bring folded towels to linen closet and put away.
Whether you do those three to-do's, or something completely different, once you've gotten 3, come back and post. Remember to take breaks and drink water. Drinking water counts as a Ta-da! If you can notice what the person before you did, it might cheer them up to hear from you. Go forth, have fun, and be generous to yourself with the Ta-das. YOU DESERVE THEM![/b]

Hi Tigress,
How are your cute little tiger cubs doing?
Thanks for reminding me of coffee! I think I need some right now, so I just started my coffee maker. I have not posted much in the WIT thread lately. I have tried to follow a day to day list in the Accountability Partners thread, with mixed success.
Today I will try to split up some of that list into threes.
Tadas:- Morning routine, cat in, cat out, cat in, cat fed etc
- Coffee and breakfast. Sat at the computer too long.
- Quick shower. Followed up on laundry. Got dressed!
Todos:- First of all I will have some coffee
- I will split up my first todo, into 5 minutes at a time, having a timer hanging around my neck! Absolutely necessary to get out of my paralyzed state with that paperwork
- 5 minutes breaks in between, as I se fit
See you later.

Edited to add:
Well, Rosebud,
The new cub is very cute. Pink skin and dark hair. Eats a lot. Big cub is very bright and gets into stuff. He also like to be helpful. His coloring is red hair. We are going to great-grandma's later today.
Thanks for asking.
TADA Moved rest of boxes. Cleared off the top. Found a place for all the empty boxes. (out of the way of moving the cedar chest) AND, the dogs woke up DH
TODO Coffee Pull on clothes (clean will come later) Load up the van, still need DH's help.

Good morning, madtiger & rosebud! Welcome to the group, hatdiva!
I had planned on sleeping in a little longer since this is the first day I *didn't* have to get up for anything that I have had in a long while... but a text message on the cell phone woke me. Oh well. It was a good text message. And then I had a phone call, which I was wide-awake for... definitely good!
TaDas: - Answered text message & phone call... both are about kids signing up for Jr. Jazzercise. Yay! - Fed cats - Fed myself - Purged old emails from my work email account & got in touch with the cheer coach at the local high school; I need to borrow some cheerleaders for my Jr. Jazzercisers :-)
ToDo: - Shower & get dressed - Unload dishwasher & put in breakfast dishes - Write out plan for teaching my strength training class at the senior center
Good luck on the paperwork, Rosebud. I had my fill of that for sure this week! I still have a bit of that to do for my Jazzercise classes but nothing too daunting I don't think. Though I'm way behind in sending postcards. Ah well... 3 things at at time. We'll get there!

Will you share some pictures of your little cubs sometime, Tigress?
I keep the timer around my neck and it goes off every 10 minutes or so. Keeping me alert - somewhat. (Oh there it goes again ...)
Tadas:- Unloaded and started to reload dishwasher
- Put bed linens outside to dry in the sun
- Rolled big garbage bin back from curb into back yard
Not much to brag about!
Todos:- Have a glass of cold water
- Walk a few times around my table with all the papers
- Try to decide what my next step will be with those papers
Oh the paralyzis!

Be back much later.

Good Morning Everyone!
Thanks for starting the WITs thread, Rosebud! And boy, oh boy, do I understand about paralysis! I've been completely mired in it lately. But... today is a NEW DAY.
Tigress, great work on getting all the items together for the tag sale - way to go!
Teachergrl, you sound like you have a lot of energy! And welcome, Hatdiva!
Well, not much done so far today. Too much churning, but - I'm vertical - had coffee (oh, and unloaded dishwasher while water boiling!) - I'm here on WITs
To Do's: 1. Shower and Dress. I'm even blocked on THAT today, ugh. 2. Go do bank errand 3. Take out garbage
I'm hoping to really make use of the WITs thread today. I need the structure.
I hope everyone has a good and productive day! -Jane

Ha! Thanks for the compliment, Jane. It's funny you say that as I'm sitting here on my bed with my laptop, contemplating snoozing for just a *little* while longer! And I was blocked on the shower & dress thing till a fellow instructor called me and said could she please borrow my headset mic... she accidentally left hers at home. Fortunately I live right next to our facility so I was able to throw on some clothes, some deodorant and a hat and get it to her in a hurry.
STILL ToDo (trying again...) 1. Shower & re-dress 2. Unload dishwasher, etc. 3. Make bed so I'm not tempted to nap (and consequently get nothing done!)
Then I can tackle other things, I think. I'll be back to report! Some days ya just HAVE to use this thread to make it through the day. So thanks to all for keeping it alive every day!!

Big leap forward!
Tadas:- Had a glass of cold water.
- Copied one sheet of paper
- Called tax advisor and made appointment for tomorrow at 09:00 am. Then I will just have to get ready.
Todos:- Have another glass of cold water
- See if bedlinens outside are dry
- Fold some clothes
Not to worry, I will attend to those papers, a little bit at a time!

Good morning, all you busy people!
I'm barely crawling this morning. We had some ferocious thunderstorms last night that freaked out the dogs and left me barely able to walk--yes, indeed: I can "feel it in my bones!"
DONE: -showered -dressed -breakfast -morning meds -dealt with email -made the bed
TO DO: -empty the dishwasher -empty the sink -finish the "presentation case" for the quilt
-go to the bank -go get a referral from my doctor, 'cause her office staff doesn't answer their !*@??*! phones -sweep the hall (leftover from yesterday)
