Ahhhh. This nearly brought tears to my eyes.
Hi hatdiva -- glad you're here.
And Rosebud, I applaud you for dealing with your paperwork. It is the bane of my existence and the Damoclean sword over my head. Thanks for your honesty and setting a good example for me by actually doing something and setting yourself a deadline.
So many TADAs to applaud, so little time, so a collective WTG for everyone.
TADAs: 1. Was vertical (thanks, Jane In Green -- what a great image!), am now sitting at computer. 2. Meds 3. E-mail 4. Added more stuff to calendar
TODOs: 1. Coffee 2. Put receipts on the new spike I bought for them* 3. I don't know how to list the steps for dealing with -- not avoiding -- the Yucky but Important Paperwork I am facing
some preliminary babysteps: 1. Put the notes I wrote this weekend on bulletin board 2. Take the magazines in recent mail and put them in magazine basket 3. Find better place for large box of 64 crayons so that there will be more space to spread out papers to work on them.
But first -- I need coffee, coffee, coffee. I'll start the water and do the first three babysteps while it's heating.

* Rosebud, does your affinity for old, black and white American movies extend to The Pawnbroker? I saw it at a revival house or a school/church event a million years ago when I was quite young. All I remember from it is the last scene at the end with the receipt spike. Hope my experience is more positive!

hi ya Westside, I think I'll join you and rosebud in dealing with the Damoclean sword of paperwork (well put, Westside!) My plans changed, it's raining and I don't have to be at my "indoor" job until 1 pm, and only for a few hours. ta das: 1. went to the place I'm pet sitting, and blocked all the holes in the duck pen so that she can't get out. (alas, her duck friend was apparently carried off by the resident duck-eating eagle that has been weaking havoc on the neighborhood. That happened sometime on Monday, the first day I went to put the ducks back in their pen and house. What a drag; I've never lost an animal before, the other duck is heartbroken and so am I) 2. called a guy about the ducks. More phone calls to make. Can't get hold of the owner though; she has no cell and is on the road. 3. ate breakfast
to dos: 1. call the woman I was supposed to weed for today, and make another arrangement since it is raining. 2. make some more calls about the duck situation 3. call car insurance agent about the accident and how it affects my policy. I reported it to the company, but haven't yet called my agent. The accident was on May 16th.
3 more to dos: 15 minutes picking up the living room floor; box up stuff for now just to clear it again and stack boxes along one side of the room 2. set timer for 15 minutes and do dishes 3. shower and dress for work
I'll try to report back here at least once more. maybe there will be some west coast folks working in the list today. I love company!

Have I ever mentioned paperwork? Yes? I have? Big surprise! I am working on it! Sheet after sheet of paper. Going through numbers. Checking. Balancing (hopefully). All because of my voluntary Damoclean Sword: The appointment I made for tomorrow morning!
Tadas:
1. Took in bedlinens that I hung to dry in the sun. Nice fragrance. 2. Drunk a glass of water, etc. 3. Paper work.
Todos:
1. Paper work 2. More paper work 3. Still more of the same (but I am seeing the end of it, temporarily at least.

Hi Artsy; glad to know you'll be on West Coast time for a bit! Hope all is OK with your mom. Westside, WTG on those baby steps; look at all you are getting done! ta das: 1. did dishes and cursorily cleaned the sink; more to do there 2. made some phone calls, but not to the car insurance agent yet 3. talked to one work client; one to go
to dos: 1. call car insurange agent; no more procrastination, no more excuses! 2. clean kitchen counter next to sink 3. take shower, wash hair

Hi all -- thanks for the cheering on, creativechaos. back at you. so sorry about the duck. I am on the West Coast, and will sometimes check in here before going to bed. WTG on recent WIT victories, Artsy and Rosebud. ETA: ...handing virtual kleenex to wantinmore and offering consoling shoulder and hug... TADAs: 1. some miscellaneous papers filed 2. some magazines taken out of study (after skimming one) and back to magazine stack in LR 3. more papers in recyling 4. brought basket in to contain small items which tend to migrate across surfaces (tape, paper clips, post-its, etc. 5. started burning cds for nephew. found it distracting, as the burning was faster than anything I could do while waiting, so have decided to set timer and burn once every twenty minutes or so. TODOs: 1. lunch break 2. start dishwasher 3. return to 20 minute routine of burning cds and dealing with study stuff. Thanks for the support, SS Sibs! Wishing you all well. WestsideStory

Hey, Artsy, you get gold stars for even thinking of all of us when you've got so much else stuff on your mind. I don't think people expect everyone to cheer on every single post when it gets beyond a page. Glad you're sharing. Whatever you need to help stave off depression. TADAs 1. Avoided fleeing house with the excuse of needing to buy lettuce for lunch. 2. Made lunch without lettuce. Ate it. Push dishes in dishwasher and started it. 3. Took time during lunch to do some ground work on crafts planning at camp TODOs: 1. Take exercise break 2. Organize paperwork into temporary file folders so papers for each project can be kept together. 3. Pick one pile and start working on it. You're all doing great today -- pat yourselves on your backs!
