This is the Working in Threes Thread (W.I.T.)
EVERYONE IS WELCOME, especially if you've never posted before!
The guidelines are simple:
- Do some little thing to make your house less squalorous.
- Do one more little thing.
- Do another little thing. Once you have 3 things done, post them here.- Post the next 3 things you plan on doing. - Go forth and conquer, return and post again. [/color] Remember - if you are tired or sick or injured or
depressed or overwhelmed, you are in the right place!
If the next 15 minutes consists of:
- Looked at hopeless living room and felt like crying
- Decided you could take empty pop can to kitchen
- Put away phone book
- Picked up fast food wrappers on coffee table and put them in trash
. . . YOU HAVE ACHIEVED THREE - DOM !!!
You could post:
Ta - Da's
- Took pop can to kitchen
- Put away phone book
- Threw away McDonald's wrappers
Then your To - Do's:
- Bring plates and glasses to kitchen
- Put dirty socks in hamper
- Bring folded towels to linen closet and put away.
Whether you do those three to-do's, or something completely different, once you've gotten 3, come back and post.
Remember to take breaks and drink water. Drinking water counts as a Ta-da!
If you can notice what the person before you did, it might cheer them up to hear from you. Go forth, have fun, and be generous to yourself with the Ta-das.

Well...I have been waking up way too early these last couple of days..(between 4/5 A.M.) and have decided to use the time to get a couple of things done...(even though I am really enjoying the solitude and peacefulness  No Tadas yet... Morning Rosebud and wantinmore, I appear to be having some difficulty in locating my Get Up 'N' Go today, so I'm going to use the WIT thread to give me a boost, at least for now. No ta-das yet, but here's my list of three things to do: - Brush teeth
- Take shower
- Get dressed

Good morning, everyone! Looks like we're off to a great start. Enjoy your walk, wantinmore... and I totally understand about the laundry! Mouse, I'm missing my Get Up 'N' Go this morning too... our church service doesn't meet until 2pm so I have lots of time to get some things done before then, and I just don't feel like it! But I know I'll be disappointed in myself if I do absolutely nothing productive today... so I'll come up with something. I almost always go over to my parents' house after church for dinner and enjoying their company, so whatever I'm going to get done needs to be done within the next 4 hours or so. No TaDas yet either other than getting up...  ToDo: Wash & moisturize Get dressed Eat something I'll be back! |

Okay, I am moving in slow motion today, but I at least I'm moving! wantinmore: I really wish I could just take today "easy," but I have to be at work at 6:30 tomorrow morning, and I have no clean clothes and no food to take with me! Eep! Also, congrats on your ta-das! clutterbunny: I hope you're still enjoying your quiet day! Ta-das: - Vacuumed bathroom (the cat litter is in there and painful underfoot and I'm too l*zy to sweep)
- Took a shower
- Brushed my teeth (after an aggravating hunt for my new tube of toothpaste, which wasn't where I thought I left it: that'll teach me to put things away properly before I leave on a trip)
- Got mostly dressed. I have yet to put on shoes (in a moment) or put in my contacts or do my make-up, but I'm doing that next.
To-dos: - Finish dressing (contacts, make-up, shoes)
- Find my eco-friendly grocery bag
- Feed the cats
- Walk to Quaker Meeting
After Meeting, I am going to stop by Canadian Tire to get myself a proper pair of pliers, and then do my grocery shopping for the week. See y'all when I get back! ~Mouse |

Good morning, everybody!
I can't believe you're all up and getting stuff done this morning. It was too hot--even with the A/C--to sleep last night, and today is supposed to be hot enough to make my brain melt. It's going to be a slow-motion kind of day.
I didn't do diddley last night, so I have lots of choices today:
DONE:
-showered
-dressed
-filled the weekly meds container
-took morning meds]
-ate breakfast
TO DO:
-start a load of laundry
-empty the dishwasher
-change the bed linens
There's more, but that will get me going, however slowly.

I hear ya, bluefrog! It's hotter than heck here, too... especially with the humidity. It's all I can do to stay out on my balcony long enough to water the plants! And you know in this heat they need it at LEAST once a day... sometimes twice. I was so worried about over-watering, but I think in this heat that's probably not going to be possible. Especially with my tomato plants.. they're getting so big they suck up that water very fast.
TaDa:
- Ate breakfast (yogurt & Kashi Heart-to-Heart cereal.. yum!)
- Thorough cleaning of toilet (thank you, Lysol wipes!)
- Wiped down bathroom counter
- Washed & moisturized self
- Dressed & fluffed (decided to wear a pretty summer dress today, so figured I'd might as well take the time to do makeup, hair, lotion, and body splash!)
- Watered & tended container garden
- Glass & spoon discovered in bedroom; put in dishwasher
- Updated Jazzercise class listing online to reflect upcoming schedule changes
- Email checked, message boards read
ToDo:
- Gather bathroom & bedroom trash to be taken out
- Eat lunch
- Take said trash (and other trash) to compactor on the way to church

Good morning all' boy do I HURT today. 8 hours of hard weeding for work yesterday. ugh.

Hi hopefulnic, and welcome 'cause you're new to me! Congrats to all on your great starts today!
yesterday ta das:
1. wrote out an invoice, delivered it
2. wrote out another invoice, got paid for it! Yeah!
3. delivered storage unit payment
3 more:
1. scrounged a free 2" x 4" that is over 10' long that I can use to build shelves in new smaller storage unit
2. somehow got the board into my tiny car and drove it there last night
3. scrubbed bathoom sink; I'm embarrassed to say how long it's been since I did that.
today ta das:
1. posting here
2. drank glass of water
3. made bed
to dos:
1. eat some breakfast
2. go get saw so I can cut the board to right size
3. get dressed.
1. go to my garden and meet a friend, plant some vegies

Way to go CC on finding materials for your building project. I can't wait to be on holidays to do tonnes of home renovations. It's my favourite hobby. I need to find an inexpensive miter saw. My skill saw is just not enough.
Done:
1. Showered. It's going to be a HOT day and I like the idea of long dripping hair keeping me cool for a few hours.
2. Hung up several towels.
3. Fluffed the pillows (yep... we're going that trivial)
4. Sorted the recycling into separate bags and put a couple containers in sink, to soak off labels.
To Do:
1. Remove one adorable cuddly cat from bed and make it... the bed, not cat.
2. Straighten out tv room (bf's mess)
3. Empty sink, wash a few dishes, and put everything away.

Good morning... er, afternoon everyone!
Like syzygy and mouse, I too am having difficulty finding my "Get up and Go" today, so I'm here on WITs.
I keep saying to myself "Action preceeds Motivation, Action preceeds Motivation....."
I have a few Ta-Da's
1) moved laundry from washer to dryer. Leftover "to-do" from last night, but hey, it counts, right?
2) having coffee
3) called BF, made plans for this evening. He's feeling neglected, but I desperately need to do stuff for ME, here! I too need some clean work clothes for the coming week.
To-Do:
1) More Coffee (boy-oh-boy, do I need more coffee........ *yawn*)
2) Finish fridge clean-out (eeeew... lots of scary stuff in there!)
3) Fold clean clothes
I hope everyone has a good and productive day! If you're in the heat wave like we're having here, remember to drink plenty of water!
