Jane - Yes, finishing laundry from the night before IMHO is a big accomplishment! It's certainly better than leaving it till "whenever"... and then having to re-wash the clothes because they sat too long and got icky! (Been there, done that more times than I'd like to mention..) Good luck with the fridge. Mine hasn't gotten scary yet, but it will be if I don't take a few minutes soon to clean it out. Thanks for the reminder! Mellowyellow, your comment about the cat made me giggle! I don't make the bed that often but my furbabies always show their appreciation when I do. Of course, they don't really seem to mind sleeping on it when it's not made, either! But they seem instantly attracted to it when it's freshly made. It's funny how I thought I would have trouble coming up with little ToDos to do today, and I keep finding them! Ah well, I'm celebrating that I not only *thought* to do these things, but I actually *did* them, too! TaDa - Trash removed from bathroom & bedroom - Inserted clean (and nicely scented) garbage back in bedroom trash can. What a concept! I hadn't bothered with the bag before but it looks so much nicer and is easier to empty that way! - Carried 2 black trash bags to car to be hauled to compactor - Fixed & ate lunch, dishes in dishwasher - Opened box of snack mix and portioned into snack-size baggies, placed baggies in an empty basket in the pantry (for easy grabbing) and threw away box. Saves $ and keeps me from eating the whole box in one day! Plus nice for packing lunches... - Thought about work that needs to be done this afternoon/evening to get ready for next week ToDo: - Gather items needed to get some work done later - Drive trash to compactor & deposit - Church Stay cool, everyone!

Hi Jane, You're off to a good start just starting. I've never seen scented bag before... maybe I never looked. What do they smell like?
I am NOT motivated to do one HUGE task which is the Report Cards which are due tomorrow. It's the huge albatross around my neck. I actually caught myself saying, "Well, they are due tomorrow... but there's nothing to say I can't hand them in tomorrow midnight (We send them via email).... See how I'm trying to procrastinate even more by pretending to buy time???!!!
Done: Cuddly cat is played with and bed is made. TV room is organized again. Dishes are all washed and sink is empty. Coffee is made and being drunk.
To Do: 1. Start report cards (perhaps outside on deck. It is shady and still fresh, if not cool) 2. Get properly dressed (hmmm maybe that should be first before I go outside) 3. Declutter kitchen table.

Good afternoon, folks, I'm back! hypatia, good on you for cleaning up the cat puke! I hate that part. Almost as bad as the cat pans. Bleah. I am currently trying to unglue myself from where I sat down after getting home, and using WITs to get myself going again. Ta-das: - Went to Meeting.
- Bought a tool set at Canadian Tire
- Paid my MasterCard bill. So far I've had this card for six months and have paid it off in full and on time every single time. I am very pleased with myself, since finances have always been problematic for me.
To-do: - Plan meals for the week.
- Go grocery shopping.
- Put in a load of laundry

Syzygy you are on a roll today. Way to go with your efforts. I hope you found something Next to do. Done: 1 1/2 hours of writing my report card comments. Big big big deal for me since I have been avoiding it all week. I am sitting on the deck and it is VERY hot... but somehow being outside makes it seem less like work. To Do: 1. Get some iced tea and take some for drinking outside. 2. While the laptop recharges a bit. see what the cats are doing. 3. Make something to eat. 4. Go back to the reports. Urgh. P.S. Was just thinking about cat puke... give me the cat kind over the people kind any day!

Wow, there's a LOT getting done today! Yay! mouse - I really like your avatar... Bah! How well I know THAT feeling, ! And sygyzy, you're really going to town with all the Ta-Da's! Congrats. And Hypatia, I SO agree that an object at rest on the couch wants to stay on the couch. Couches are just natural followers of the Law of Inertia - something about the way they're made. Someone probably made a couch which DIDN'T induce interia, but I'll bet no one would buy it - who wants a couch which makes you want to get UP as soon as you sit down? Bluefrog, you're very dilligent about laundry! Way to go! Well, got some Ta-Da's: 1) Cothes are out of the dryer, folded and ready for work 2) Emptied dishwasher 3) Spent 10 minutes on the front entrance. I'm finding paperwork going back to Fall of 2007. But, I've got three destinations for each and every piece of paper: A) High Priority box, destined for my desk. Its small, so I must be VERY selective about what goes into it. Only things that I MUST look at or file in the next two weeks. B) Low Priority box, destined for the office, but which will not be a calamity if I don't look at it immediately (trying to be realistic) C) Recycle bags. Most everything really should go in here. I've got TWO full ones out in the garage already with just a few days of babysteps in the %$#@ front entrance, which was darn near impassable. Now, I need to: 1) Shower and shave legs (Its 90 degrees out, so I can't put if off any longer - I need to wear shorts in public today!) 2) Dress and get a few things together to bring with me to BF 3) Get to BF's on time (5:30 pm) so he stops saying glumly that he expects I'll be there around 6:30 (grrrr, I know its a bad habit, but I'm TRYING to improve!) Keep on with all the good work, everyone! -Jane

I'm back from grocery shopping. It is scorching hot out there! I thought I was going to melt! The problem with living on an island is that it is always humid outside, no matter the weather. In the winter, it's not so bad, but in summer I never know what to do with myself when it gets like this. Jane: I know what you mean about my avatar. As soon as I saw the image I knew that it was emblematic of my entire attitude toward housekeeping, and immediately appropriated it and added text after cropping. Ta-das: - Planned this week's meals.
- Walked to and from the grocery store.
- Bought this week's groceries.
To-do: - Put away groceries.
- Toss in a load of laundry.
- Start this week's cooking.
