This is the Working in Threes Thread (W.I.T.) EVERYONE IS WELCOME, especially if you've never posted before!
The guidelines are simple: - Do some little thing to make your house less squalorous. - Do one more little thing. - Do another little thing. Once you have 3 things done, post them here.- Post the next 3 things you plan on doing. - Go forth and conquer, return and post again. [/color] Remember - if you are tired or sick or injured or depressed or overwhelmed, you are in the right place!
If the next 15 minutes consists of:
- Looked at hopeless living room and felt like crying - Decided you could take empty pop can to kitchen - Put away phone book - Picked up fast food wrappers on coffee table and put them in trash
. . . YOU HAVE ACHIEVED THREE - DOM !!!
You could post:
Ta - Da's - Took pop can to kitchen - Put away phone book - Threw away McDonald's wrappers
Then your To - Do's: - Bring plates and glasses to kitchen - Put dirty socks in hamper - Bring folded towels to linen closet and put away.
Whether you do those three to-do's, or something completely different, once you've gotten 3, come back and post. Remember to take breaks and drink water. Drinking water counts as a Ta-da! If you can notice what the person before you did, it might cheer them up to hear from you. Go forth, have fun, and be generous to yourself with the Ta-das. YOU DESERVE THEM![/b]

I'm hoping to keep up my productive rally from yesterday, so here goes.
Ta Dah * up at reasonable time * eat breakfast and feed cats * tidied up kitchen- which took very little time
To do *Today, I'm going to try working in bites (1/2 hour) on my projects. I have 3 huge long-term ones that are easy to put off because they don't have to be done today. My goal today is to give each one 2 bites (1/2 hour) or 1 chunk (1 hour).

Ta-da: -Cleaned rat cage -Tossed load in washer -picked up one load of laundry off floor
To-do: -sweep bedroom -sweep up bathroom -run to store for cleaning supplies!
Thanks wantinmore. I'm very overwhelmed. My house is thick squalor. I found out that starting Saturday a friend of ours will be staying at our house while we are out of town. She has a perfect house. And technically I only have two days because tomorrow, wed, thurs, and fri my son has swim lessons that take up half the day. I have that and work.
Freakin.

Way to go, facade. Focus on the big stuff; try not to get hung up on the small stuff.
I need a melting smiley; it's way too hot.
Ta Dah * doctor's appointment * library run * collapsed in front of A/C and recovered.

It sounds like you're back on track- or at least within spitting distance- and that's the important thing!
Ta dah * Fed cats * Bite of Project D * Neatened up kitchen
Today's goal was: * 2 bites of Project D * 2 bites of Project R * 2 bites of Project A
I accomplished: * 2 bites of Project D * 2 bites of Project R
which is more than I've done in one day for a while!!
