This is the Working in Threes Thread (W.I.T.)
EVERYONE IS WELCOME, especially if you've never posted before!
The guidelines are simple:
- Do some little thing to make your house less squalorous.
- Do one more little thing.
- Do another little thing. Once you have 3 things done, post them here.- Post the next 3 things you plan on doing. - Go forth and conquer, return and post again. [/color] Remember - if you are tired or sick or injured or
depressed or overwhelmed, you are in the right place!
If the next 15 minutes consists of:
- Looked at hopeless living room and felt like crying
- Decided you could take empty pop can to kitchen
- Put away phone book
- Picked up fast food wrappers on coffee table and put them in trash
. . . YOU HAVE ACHIEVED THREE - DOM !!!
You could post:
Ta - Da's
- Took pop can to kitchen
- Put away phone book
- Threw away McDonald's wrappers
Then your To - Do's:
- Bring plates and glasses to kitchen
- Put dirty socks in hamper
- Bring folded towels to linen closet and put away.
Whether you do those three to-do's, or something completely different, once you've gotten 3, come back and post.
Remember to take breaks and drink water. Drinking water counts as a Ta-da!
If you can notice what the person before you did, it might cheer them up to hear from you. Go forth, have fun, and be generous to yourself with the Ta-das.

It is hot as **** but am trying to be productive - I have the day off from school. Figure cleaning up is a great way to procrastinate (avoid) doing school work - progress reports and grades.
Tada:
1. Cleaned litter box and swept bathroom floor
2. Put in 2 loads of laundry
3. Prepared healthy lunch.
Todo:
1. Dry 2 loads and put in 2 more
2. Fold 2 loads of Laundry

Okay, time to tackle this! I had a fairly productive morning running errands.
TADA:
1) Drove downtown to pick up some cloth diapers from a Freecycle member
2) Paid the water bill while I was down town
3) Bought stamps (and said hello to my favorite postman)
4) Picked up a special lunch from Arby's
TODO:
1) Put the trash on the back porch for my husband to take to the can (too heavy for me to)
2) Tie up the bag of de-squaloring trash from Sunday and take it to the can
3) Put away the books from the desk I'm de-squaloring
EDIT: Oh, and three tiny things to do:
1) Put the change from my wallet into Elisabeth's piggy bank
2) File receipts from today's escapades
3) Put the pictures from my wallet into the photos cubby on my desk

pegasus I'm glad that your depression has lifted,  , I like that a tada was reading the SOS posts!!! sygyzy, great start and stay cool! wantingmore great job on clearing off the DR table. ontheway, good for you, still working in the heat- I can be bad about that! Howdy everyone! Artsy, hugs to you for taking such good care of your mom. I love my mom dearly but know that despite that, it would wear on me after a while. Checking in late so I already have some TaDas to share... TaDa: - Up, *made bed!!* (I never do that!) - Cats fed, breakfast cooked & eaten - Dishwasher loaded, run, unloaded - Made flyer for upcoming Jr. Jazzercise session - Taught strength training class at senior center - Put stamps on 15 "missing you" postcards to send to customers - Checked mail, filled out survey received in mail - Started lunch - Marked calendar for important meeting at the end of the month ToDo: - Eat lunch - Tidy up lunch dishes - Prepare for & teach Jazzercise Lite class - Get copies of flyer made - Prepare envelopes to send flyers - Mail postcards & flyers Busy, busy! But I like it that way. Hope to see some of you in chat this evening, perhaps! I haven't done any decluttering today and know after dinner I might need a little nudge or two to get some done. |

Woo... I did that in a hurry. I like little bites.  . I feel... accomplished. I also did three more things: 1) Put new bag in trash can (don't laugh, this is a big deal around here.) 2) Cleaned out a small basket of assorted samples and things I "put up" before the baby was born... now's the time to USE them! 3) Threw away a few more pieces of trash from that desk. 4) Took a picture of the progress on the desk I'e made since Sunday. |

Nice going Dragonchilde - I know exactly what you mean about throwing away trash. I'm going to have to add that to my todo list!
Tadas, first:
1. Washed and dried 4 loads of laundry
2. Folded 4 loads of laundry
3. Brought down recycling and other things to be disposed of to garbage corridor.
Todos:
1. Throw garbage down garbage chute.
2. Sweep kitchen
3. Clean off bathroom counter.
Have a good evening if I don't stop by.

3. Put dirty dishes in the dishwasher and wiped down the counter/sink
Ta Da, after work:
1. One load of laundry in the washer
2. Cooked dinner
3. Put away / hung up 3 loads of laundry
To Do:
1. Clean up the pans from dinner
2. Fold and put away the clothes from the dryer
3. Move clothes from the washer to the dryer and start another load

That's one of those things (along with toilet paper and paper towels) that are apparently extremely difficult to do- at least judging by the fact that no one else seems to be able to do it. Yay for cleaning up the kitchens! I need to put away the dishes from hubby's dishwashing session last night... and maybe even get a small load done ourselves. We're SO CLOSE to having a clean kitchen!

Ta Da, before work:
1. took glass in from patio
2. watered flowers out front
3. Put dirty dishes in the dishwasher and wiped down the counter/sink
To Do:
1. Clean up the pans from dinner
2. re-wash moldy clothes in washer - with bleach to kill mold
3. Move clothes from the washer to the dryer
