......... a new way of thinking for me.
I am not really making any progress - at least it doesn't feel like it.
.... what if I could make/create/have spaces that are 0 degree squalor, no matter how small or temporary?
.......... it is another way to approach desqualoring for fun and success. I too, have no areas of zero degree squalor.
However if I move two things, my dining room table will match that description! Wow
Also In five minutes I can get my living room couch to 0 degrees.
Who Knew!! It's encouraging to have an area no matter how small at 0 degrees. Chair by chair, inch by inch if necessary, you will get there! This focus goes a long way towards eliminating a constant belief the squalor is winning. chair is still 0 degree. I am defending it like it's Ft. Knox - ! Hey, success is success, right? Still -- great idea for a thread. Everyone -- great insights. You've all eloquently touched upon something very profound -- yet also very practical. The inside of my microwave is at 0 degrees of squalor!! I scrubbed and scrubbed and it even smells good.
Also, the dining table is at zero degrees plus maybe an eighth. Gotta have those 'pretties' to look at. Handy Mandy, the "pretties" are great! It's not "squalor" if your pretties are sparingly yet artfully arranged. It's only squalor when one has a hoard of a gazillion pretties that take up too much space and are impossible to clean up. I love how everyone here on this zero-degree thread has found different ways of expressing their joy !

Handy Mandy Woo-hoo! Woo-hoo! and dancing bananas! for your 0 degree microwave. (Mine is pitiful ) And more so for your table! You gave me an idea I think might be a good one - using Lioness' explanation of pretties, I think anything that is 0 degree and has pretties should have an added degree rating - like your table might be rated 0/A+ or 0-A+? Decorating is good for the soul I'm not sure about the stinky popcorn thing? Is it a flavored popcorn or just regular stuff? Lioness Thank you for your gentle and positive presence on SOS. You seem to be everywhere and aware of everything. Thank you for the encouragement, board angel!

I'm not sure about the stinky popcorn thing? Is it a flavored popcorn or just regular stuff? It is Act II, Buttery flavored popcorn and it smells like dirty underwear (while it is popping--The popcorn popping, not the underwear) (Sorry ConAgra, but I am not the only one who thinks this). It DOES taste good though and I will buy more.

Handymandy My daughter agrees with you that Act II Buttery popcorn smells "funny" when it's gone cold. I'm need to buy some and pop it just to see what you two are talking about - ! Well, 0 degree chair is stacked again: box of tissues, headphones, used paper towel and cell phone. Certainly not as bad as when I first 0 degreed it, but time to return it to 0 degree glory! Done - Woo-hoo! nothing so enchanting as a octopus' garden

my computer desk in my room is staying squalor free - part of the reason is that I changed desks and this one is small so there is no room to add things- it feels free to just come here and have the laptop and mouse and romote control ready and waiting for me hugs from Meme
