This is the Working in Threes Thread (W.I.T.)
EVERYONE IS WELCOME, especially if you've never posted before!
The guidelines are simple:
- Do some little thing to make your house less squalorous. - Do one more little thing. - Do another little thing.
Once you have 3 things done, post them here.
- Post the next 3 things you plan on doing. - Go forth and conquer, return and post again.
Remember - if you are tired or sick or injured or depressed or overwhelmed, you are in the right place!
If the next 15 minutes consists of:
- Looked at hopeless living room and felt like crying - Decided you could take empty pop can to kitchen - Put away phone book - Picked up fast food wrappers on coffee table and put them in trash
. . . YOU HAVE ACHIEVED THREE - DOM !!!
You could post:
Ta - Da's - Took pop can to kitchen - Put away phone book - Threw away McDonald's wrappers
Then your To - Do's: - Bring plates and glasses to kitchen - Put dirty socks in hamper - Bring folded towels to linen closet and put away.
Whether you do those three to-do's, or something completely different, once you've gotten 3, come back and post.
Remember to take breaks and drink water. Drinking water counts as a Ta-da!
If you can notice what the person before you did, it might cheer them up to hear from you.
Go forth, have fun, and be generous to yourself with the Ta-das. YOU DESERVE THEM !

Morning! This is day 2 in a row that I have walked to work..about 1.6 miles. Cheaper than driving and good exercise. TADa - Water & breakfast Cliff bar

Hi clutterbunny; thanks for starting today's thread in living color! congrats nmf on your healthy start to your day!
ta das(yesterday) 1. threw away another box from storage unit, and worked there for 2 more hours sorting 2. built another garden bed and planted more dahlias 3 did some dishes that had been hanging around for several days
today: 1. made bed 2. up and getting an early start at the storage unit 3. drank a glass of water
to do: 1. go to storage and sort for an hour or two 2. make yard sale signs; we're having an impromptu yard sale tomorrow to try to get rid of the first layer in the storage unit 3. report back here sometime today if I get the chance. If not, have a great day everyone!

Great job walking to work, nmf!!! Not only are you getting exercise but saving the $$ on gas.
It seems you are determined to get that storage unit cleared out, Creativechaos!! That plus gardening plus dishes...WTG!!! Those are HUGE TADAS.
Todos... finish unloading dishwasher load dishwasher laundry (only two loads to do today...Whoo Hoo...)

Good morning, everybody!
I'm still dragging from the heat, and have spent the last couple of days doing, honestly, as little as possible. The place isn't any worse than it was, but it could use work. Go, nmf, for walking to work, and creativechaos for working on clearing her storage unit! I'll be joining wantinmore in doing laundry today.
DONE: -dressed -posted here -encouraged the new pussycat to come out of hiding and get his ears scratched
TO DO: -make the bed -switch laundry to the dryer -eat breakfast

working great in the heat everyone, I know when i get home, that will be a battle with me, so thanks for the inspiration! tadas -got up at 7 ? -coffee -talked w/ catsitter -dropped off/picked up mom from PT -gassed car -went to drugstore -made hair appt for when i get back -confirmed date to pick up dining room chairs on hold -made appt w/dr for when i return todos -nap, my sleep schedule is off here -take out garbage -make list of things I want to do before i leave best artsy

Good for you for filing a stack of papers, nmf! I'm SO glad DH doesn't mind filing stuff! Everybody dealing with heat stay hydrated, please!
DONE: -folded and put away clean laundry -switched laundry to the dryer -ate breakfast -loaded and started the dishwasher -took morning meds
TO DO: -make the bed once the cats get off it -hang/fold clean laundry and put it away -scoop the cat box

TaDah: 1. Went to my dr's appt for annual exam. Yay for all things okay, one thing "eh", but I can work on it.
It's only 1 tadah, but the dr is a huge issue for me because I get completely stressed out and insane around them (she is great, it is not her, I do this with ALL doctors).
ToDo 1. cancel the 2nd appt because it is unneeded as it turns out 2. Exercise for the day 3. Work on Project A for work that I HATE.
