This is the Working in Threes Thread (W.I.T.)
EVERYONE IS WELCOME, especially if you've never posted before!
The guidelines are simple:
- Do some little thing to make your house less squalorous. - Do one more little thing. - Do another little thing.
Once you have 3 things done, post them here.
- Post the next 3 things you plan on doing. - Go forth and conquer, return and post again.
Remember - if you are tired or sick or injured or depressed or overwhelmed, you are in the right place!
If the next 15 minutes consists of:
- Looked at hopeless living room and felt like crying - Decided you could take empty pop can to kitchen - Put away phone book - Picked up fast food wrappers on coffee table and put them in trash
. . . YOU HAVE ACHIEVED THREE - DOM !!!
You could post:
Ta - Da's - Took pop can to kitchen - Put away phone book - Threw away McDonald's wrappers
Then your To - Do's: - Bring plates and glasses to kitchen - Put dirty socks in hamper - Bring folded towels to linen closet and put away.
Whether you do those three to-do's, or something completely different, once you've gotten 3, come back and post.
Remember to take breaks and drink water. Drinking water counts as a Ta-da!
If you can notice what the person before you did, it might cheer them up to hear from you.
Go forth, have fun, and be generous to yourself with the Ta-das. YOU DESERVE THEM !

Good evening, CL_SS and mayqueen! I have been pretty good for the past two hours, but I'm starting to run out steam. So I'm coming in here to give myself a bit of a push in the right direction. I'm decluttering the bedroom today! At least, as much of it as I can manage. I also have to do a bit of tidying in the bathroom and get dinner worked out for tonight and the rest of the week (luckily the two aren't mutually exclusive! ) I am listening to The Doors, and trying to bop my way through the cleaning. That usually helps. Recent ta-das: - Purged clothes from closet & dresser
- Purged a bunch of paper & plastic
- Separated all non-purged clothes into laundry hamper or closet as needed
To-dos: - Put away hanger (there are still some lying around)
- Clear out junk from under the bed
- Put books back where they belong
Okay, onward! ~Mouse

Hi Lioness, MayQueen and Mouse,
MayQueen and Mouse, you have respectible TADA lists!!
Where are all the usual WIT people? Only 3 responses and it's late in the day.
I was away on vacation for the last week. I really need a list of three to get me out of vacation mode.
TODO: 1) Clean up the dishes and sink. 2) Fold laundry from yesterday and put away. 3) Tidy up the bathroom.

Hi everyone! The tree that hit our roof and powerline came back to haunt us today. The powerline had appeared to be okay, but today there was a loud pop and snap outside, and our lights started to flicker. Needless to say, we stayed off the computers till we found out what was going on. The grounding wire that goes from the pole to the house snapped today. Fortunately, it broke on the part of the line that belongs to the utility company. Thank goodness, because we are out of money now from the roof repair. Got it fixed late this afternoon, then went on to make a Father's Day steak dinner for hubby. Great job today, everyone! THe last day of the festival was really fun, the decent weather held out, and the whole family is tired today. I over-ate and I'm about to fall asleep on my keyboard, so here's my tadas before I go to bed: 1) Loaded and ran dishwasher 2x before power went blinky. 2)washed one load. 3)folded a heap of laundry. Not all of it, but a goodly dent has been made. 4)weeded about half the garden. 5)threw out a broken fan that has been sitting in the hallway for weeks and weeks. 6)threw out some suspicious things from the back of the fridge before they actually got to the furry and greenish stage. To do's 1)Load dishwasher again. Used a ton of pots and pans for dinner tonight. 2)Catch up on some reading. 3)Attempt to get a full-night's sleep. We are expecting more storms tonight. See y'all tomorrow.

^ glad to hear the power company had to deal with that, and did so quickly.
Today I really didn't get many chores done at all, but it's alright I think.
TaDas 1. Dropped off pants at friends house (ordered a couple pair for her) 2. Bought a fabric shaver, and used it to de-pill a favorite sweater. It's already paid for itself on that ONE sweater. Also de-pilled a shirt of mine. 3. Took my meds
ToDo 1. Exercise, I didnt get around to it yesterday and I ate far too much today 2. Finish installing patches/fixes on the computer software I have. 3. Evening routine (Teeth, wash face, etc).
