Hi, Brotspine & Rexroth. Yesterday was a very good day for us. We worked hard and got a lot done at the restaurant. Plus we had a very promising job interview for a chef. AND a very productive meeting with our accountant. All in all, it's all Good, as the saying goes. I'm happy about the prospects. We did not hire the chef, but plan to check his references, and make an offer. I think some of the extreme stress that has been working on me is going to be decreasing to a more tolerable level soon. I awoke at 4:35 am & the outside temperature was only 55 degrees Farenheit here, which is much cooler than normal this time of year. I had to wear a long-sleeved shirt sitting out on my deck to enjoy the birds this morning. But my day began quite comfortably with Yoga, followed by time outdoors with sunrise and the birds. eagle's Tuesday- breakfast & dishes

It's an incredible morning, cool and dry. I hope some of this dryness finds it's way to those struggling with high water in Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois and Indiana. I fear it's not to be...yet. The mowers are coming this morning and like it or not, I have to turn over a large section of new grass to the butchers. Delicate they ain't. Must fluff myself a bit and then go out and drop the fence that protects it. Will cover my ears so I don't hear the screams of baby grass. *Decided not to drop the fence yet. If I give them a good runway they will have the stand on mower back there, popping wheelies at 50 mph. Dress, hair, etc Cut down volunteer trees in front garden trimmed front bush and watered potted plants

Brotspinne--thanks for starting the thread.
Eagle--Crossing fingers & toes that this Chef will be "the one!" I know that you're mind will be more at ease once this issue is fully resolved.
Good afternoon/evening, Rexroth.
Hatdiva--Nice seeing you here. We have a storm just hitting as I type this in Texas.
11:36am *dressed2shoes, teeth, contacts, hair, perfume, lipstick *made my bed *took DD to vet's office *took puppy *researched high school graduation re: dates *called school district re: dates *tried to call in-laws who are needing grad. date due to need of scheduling other events that month *searched email for something I needed...couldn't find. *trying to light fire under DS who says he wants to do something but needs to take bigger steps to get where he wants.
Was planning on taking him shopping for stuff he needs for his trip to Philmont this Monday....but Severe Thunderstorm.
2:06pm *researched Travel Insurance in my email...found the one we purchased last year for DD's trip *looked at website for Travel Insurance & looked over old policy *called re: Travel Insurance & purchased for DD's upcoming trip *helped DS with phone call he wanted to make re: Eagle project *printed out Travel Insurance documents *searched for a paper I need...unsuccessful... *went thru 2 days worth of mail & tossed/recycled some *checked bills in Office in a Bag...I'm good for now...
Storm ceased earlier, but now another one just starting up. My poor AngelDog... Shaking like a leaf...
7:40pm problem with DS again, but I have to learn to let it just flow right off of me & not get to me... *went to grocery store (Kroger's) *cooking supper *picked up DD from Vet's office *picked up puppy *took 2 bags of trash to outside can *took 2 bags of recyclables to outside can *drinking waters--not enuf today *sent email re: boy scouts
Goodness! Almost forgot that I also: *folded/hung load of laundry *put that load of laundry away *moved load into dryer
DS has apologized two times now. I decided that I shouldn't have let what he did/say get to me. So, we both made up. However; I have decided to handle him a little differently in the future. I told him that I would not be making any more suggestions to him, but that if he needs anything or any help to feel free to ask me. I also plan to cut out the treats that I give him...like bringing him breakfast when I've been out & about in the morning, etc... He can make something at home...I have cereal, milk, eggs, frozen waffles, homemade maple syrup, etc. etc. Just going to stop doing those extras until he becomes nicer, more appreciative & more respectful...
11:08pm *finished cooking supper *fed family *got dishes, pot, skillet soaking *folded/hung load of laundry *put that load away *put another load in the washer
1:59am *washed all dishes, pots, skillet *unloaded dishwasher *put away hand-washed stuff from drainboard *researched (on-line) aerobics classes in my area *moved load of laundry into dryer & hung the hang-dry things *washed top of stove

Greetings to Brotspinne, rexroth, eagle, hatdiva, and CD! I stayed up way too late reading about retirement, and other interesting topics. Here's my list for the day: dressed2shoes fill one garbage sack and take to alley work in living room on the paper piles that reside there run a couple of errands pre-work preparations which include nap, S2S, gas car, coffee, etc. Blessings for a great day! Love, Saffron The cut and paste thing didn't work, but I found my paper list in the desk.

Hi everyone,
Done: put copies of papers in order and in a file - this took a while moved all books and files out of bookcases and moved the bookcases so that the electrician can do the rewiring on Thursday - done today as I'm busy tomorrow bought some fruit washed up and put dishes away copied and filed emails re repair from landlord - have not yet responded to the latest one. I think I might rant on the main board over it.
Todo: write journal prayer and reflection bed and sleep
Goodnight everyone

Hope everything works out with the hire, eagle. My DH runs a restaurant, and it's so hard to find the right people for the job. Good luck with the kiddo business, cando. (((hatdiva))) Sounds like a good day, brotspinne. My kids have kept me running all day long. From the second I got up until just now, but I have had special, one-on-one time with each of them. It's a rare treat. Me and DS(6) put together my DH's Father's Day grill. Now, I've got to clean it out and throw some food on. Don't know whether to say "yawn" or "yum". ed: Well, turned out to be YAWN. I cleaned the grill. I think. The directions said to burn out the industrial toxins with a no-food round of charcoal. We did that, and then made a pizza.
