This is the Working in Threes Thread (W.I.T.)
EVERYONE IS WELCOME, especially if you've never posted before!
The guidelines are simple:
- Do some little thing to make your house less squalorous. - Do one more little thing. - Do another little thing.
Once you have 3 things done, post them here.
- Post the next 3 things you plan on doing. - Go forth and conquer, return and post again.
Remember - if you are tired or sick or injured or depressed or overwhelmed, you are in the right place!
If the next 15 minutes consists of:
- Looked at hopeless living room and felt like crying - Decided you could take empty pop can to kitchen - Put away phone book - Picked up fast food wrappers on coffee table and put them in trash
. . . YOU HAVE ACHIEVED THREE - DOM !!!
You could post:
Ta - Da's - Took pop can to kitchen - Put away phone book - Threw away McDonald's wrappers
Then your To - Do's: - Bring plates and glasses to kitchen - Put dirty socks in hamper - Bring folded towels to linen closet and put away.
Whether you do those three to-do's, or something completely different, once you've gotten 3, come back and post.
Remember to take breaks and drink water. Drinking water counts as a Ta-da!
If you can notice what the person before you did, it might cheer them up to hear from you.
Go forth, have fun, and be generous to yourself with the Ta-das. YOU DESERVE THEM !

good morning bluefrog, SBTM, and clutterbunny! Thanks for starting the thread this morning, clutterbunny! How long do you have before your party? Remember that folks are coming to celebrate and to see you! The biggest cleanup for a party is always AFTER! I hope you got disposable stuff to make your job easier and that you can enjoy basking in the glow! I'm with you, with inspections possibly being Friday! Boxes are my friend right now; I almost have the living room floor cleared, will do more after yoga class this morning.
Great start, SBTM! Good meal planning too, will save you money. Have a great day at work.
Bluefrog, you're getting right in there unloading dishwasher and breakfast already out of the way. I was up til 3 wasting time on the computer; going to be tired today.
ta das up dressed bed made drank 2 glasses of water
to do yoga get petrol (up to $5 per gallon here) home to work on this thread for awhile and get more posting done; Friday's just around the corner and I'm nowhere near ready for inspectors.

Welcome, vrybadcatgram66. Your very first post! WTG!!! I think you could list 3 or 30 or 300 ta da's here, and we'd all cheer you on. Sorry that you are dealing with all the paperwork and stuff that follows the death of someone so close to you. My condolensces on the death of your DH. I hope you find some support and encouragement here.
BTW, do you have a preferred nickname for "vrybadcatgram66?"
Syzygy and NMF, your attention to important correspondence and icky work projects is an inspiration. I have some stuff I *should* attend to, that I'll list as a bonus to-do. Thanks for the gentle nudge.
TA DAs: 1. up/dressed/meds/breakfast/made bed 2. lent car to friend whose car is in shop 3. went to farmer's market and bought fruit, salad stuff and herbs to plant (...cross fingers and send green thumb thoughts my way...)
TO DOs 1. lunch 2. repot plants/water 3. swim *bonus* make some calls about puzzling paperwork; check for missing paperwork that apparently was not sent in.
Hope you all are doing well!

PS -- Hypatia -- Yogurt! How cool is that!
How are you making your yogurt? I tried a while ago to make some by leaving it in the oven -- used non-fat milk and non-fat milk solids and it really never congealed properly. This was in the spring, when the temperature was much cooler. A million years ago I used to have an electric yogurt-maker, but it's long gone.
I'm not sure if you're Greek or a fan of Greek mythology or the Greek language or a mathematician seeking estacy or bliss (if my memory of what Wikipedia said about your screen name and quote is correct)... but if you're making traditional Greek yogurt I'd love to hear how you do it -- it's very yummy!
