make plans!Today was the day I was going to devote to cleaning out my utility closet/pantry.I woke up not feeling well, started by dragging everything out. Then had to take kids hither, thither & yon. Came home and of course phone started ringing, friend emergency, husband came home, mother came over,etc.-gave up took nap.
I did manage to do a half way decent start.I am the type if I do not finish job while motivated,it will come to a stand still. This just adds to the jumble & confusion.Gross, I found bugs eating bits of old stale dog food. The food was once stored here. Also, 2 boxes of garbage bags, which I always think I have run out of.Do any of you keep spending money or running to store for items that you think you don't have, but really do,just lost in the jumble?Apparently I have a fetish for holiday/decorative napkins because I found at least a dozen different types!Did quite a bit of pitching stuff in the garbage. Ready to let go/donate a Tupperware chip & dip, that has been taking up shelf space for 4 years & I only used once.My thinking is, "I was forced into buying it new,for a lot of $,@ a friends T-ware party".Let go,let go.
When I think of all the time, expensive, injury, shame, humiliation my clutter has brought me.When I think of all the nice/expensive things that have been broken & ruined by my slovenly ways... I think I will let go of regrets & blame along w/my clutter.Just keep trying.
best to all...gg

oh gg- laughing at your buggies with love- here is a good hint for keep bugs at bay-- buy a package of bay leaves and put 2 or 3 into things like dog food or flour etc. it will not cause anything to smell of bay leaves- they can go into rice and all dry foods that opened after store - just pick up at the dollar if you can as cheaper ones are as good as a fancy brand. yes- I have bought most of my clutter with intentions of using it to solve all my problems - hehehe- and many repeats also. my friend and were talking about that very thing today that some how we got caught up in the belief that we need a separate pot for every thing we cooked and then special containers for all the left-overs -- sigh-

Please note-be careful, as bay leaf is poisonous to dogs. I know a woman with 2 yorkies and a bay leaf potted plant on her balcony, one dog was vomiting all the time and quite sick, the vets couldn't tell her why or what to do but her neighbour spotted the plant and saved the day.
ps, keeping the bay leaf in the food for is probably fine just make sure you don't pour it into the dog's bowl with the food.

I love those large pretty popcorn tins that one can buy at Christmas and I keep my dog's food in them. I pour it in as soon as I bring it in from the store and so far have not had any bug problems.
