Okay, it's not a spotless fridge YET. But i'm happy. I realized there was no room for me to get food for the week whenever i get to it, and I was like, well I dont have hardly anything in there. Asked roomie #1, she didn't have much either. so started going thorugh it knowing i would find at least a few things i could toss without argument. Randomly the both of them wander into the kitchen and we litterally look at everything in there! we still have a fridge that is like 1/3 full of condiments (we cook a lot of strange ethnic foods and such), but at least they're all things people have said they want, and are in fact, in date.
It was kind of ridiculous how much just went into bags on the porch to go out tommorow. The thing still needs a thorough cleaning, but at least i have shopping room and the mint jelly from...well i really dont wanna say how long ago...is no longer bothering me in the back of my head!

OOOhhhh!! I am so stealing that tip ramatama, I can't remember when the last time I cleaned the fridge was, but I've noticed the last couple of days that it needs done again. . . nothing more heartbreaking than good applesauce gone bad. What a great way to remind oneself that some chucking needs to be done.

WTG on tackling the fridge monster!
And Ramatama, I too am glad that I have a small euro fridge, as it's a whole lot easier to clean. The state it gets to between defrostings is frightful, but I'd hate to think how bad it might be if it were three or four times larger.
