Flylady, our chat now has remote authentication. So if you are already signed in on the forums, you don't need to enter anything in terms of your name or a password. It is already entered when you signed in on the forums.
Try this: Log out of Stepping Out of Squalor and close all your browser windows. Then open up your browser and log back into the forums. Then click on the chat button at the top. Just wait and it should sign you in automatically.
Come back and let us know how that went. If it worked or not.
Thanks,
eagle

~FlyLady~, are you still getting "Invalid password" when you attempt to chat?
I think I figured out what happened.
Using punctuation and most symbols in your display name, like the tilde (~) in ~FlyLady~, works for our forum but it won't authorize when you try to go into chat.
If you want to chat, go to your Profile and remove the tildes in your display name (at least temporarily) before you login to the chat room. After you leave the chat room, you can put the tildes back if you want.
