Hi all,
Most of my apartment has hard wood floors. I have some carpet downstairs and in the upstairs hallway. The carpet downstairs looks good but there are a couple of puppy spots on the upstairs hallway carpet. I have tried Woolite pet safe cleaner, alcohol/water solution, and Nature's Miracle. I cannot afford to rent a $50 steam cleaner to remove two small spots. I am looking for a spot removing solution that is 100% PET SAFE. Any suggestions?
Thanks!

We use Petzyme, which we bought at Petsmart. It works pretty well--we are in the process of pulling up old carpet and putting in wood upstairs, and are finding spots on the carpet pad and subflooring , but none were visible on the carpet surface itself and there were no smells. good luck!! (naughty puppy )

If you have a shopvac, some oxyclean and water in a squirt bottle, sprayed to saturation and then rubbed in with a towel, and then shopvaced, works wonders.

Thanks charis and wind! I appreciate the suggestions. I don't have a shopvac unfortunately - wish I did (maybe at some point in the future). I am saving your suggestions to work on the spots.

I just got a Bissel SpotBot and am in love with it. I know that is likely a solution that might not work for your right now, since it's in the $120-$150 range, but I have carpet in most rooms and many, many spots to deal with, with a nervous little pomeranian who doesn't always aim for the potty pad well.
(The potty pad is the back up to her outdoor trips to do her business--her previous owner had her using potty pads almost exclusively, and when she came to live with us we found she was a nervous accident producing wreck if we didn't leave her just one pad. Some days she never even uses it, goes outside, but if there isn't one pad around she seems to go a bit crazy.)

Thanks, yearning4order. That is good to know ... useful info for future. I have dachshunds - incredibly sweet dogs, but prone to an occasional (fortunately not too frequent) potty accident. I always clean right away with vinegar/water or Nature's Miracle, but there are still a couple of spots.
