This is the Working in Threes Thread (W.I.T.)
EVERYONE IS WELCOME, especially if you've never posted before!
The guidelines are simple:
- Do some little thing to make your house less squalorous. - Do one more little thing. - Do another little thing.
Once you have 3 things done, post them here.
- Post the next 3 things you plan on doing. - Go forth and conquer, return and post again.
Remember - if you are tired or sick or injured or depressed or overwhelmed, you are in the right place!
If the next 15 minutes consists of:
- Looked at hopeless living room and felt like crying - Decided you could take empty pop can to kitchen - Put away phone book - Picked up fast food wrappers on coffee table and put them in trash
. . . YOU HAVE ACHIEVED THREE - DOM !!!
You could post:
Ta - Da's - Took pop can to kitchen - Put away phone book - Threw away McDonald's wrappers
Then your To - Do's: - Bring plates and glasses to kitchen - Put dirty socks in hamper - Bring folded towels to linen closet and put away.
Whether you do those three to-do's, or something completely different, once you've gotten 3, come back and post.
Remember to take breaks and drink water. Drinking water counts as a Ta-da!
If you can notice what the person before you did, it might cheer them up to hear from you.
Go forth, have fun, and be generous to yourself with the Ta-das. YOU DESERVE THEM !

Hi ArtsyGal, great to see all those checkmarks on your TODO list.
Still far too hot here. Weather was a big topic during my errands. The young bank teller 'fessed up that he wasn't doing anything to combat global warming, so I gave him some websites to check out and little hints that are easy to do -- like unplug your microwave when you're not using it, unplug your cell phone charger when you are not charging, plan ahead and group errands by location, so you drive less, bring bags to stores, etc., etc.
TADAs: 1. Bank 2. Library 3. Stationary store and watch repair store *bonus* very quick shopping trip *bonus* recycling
TODOs: 1. Swim 2. Pile stacks of fabrics I've been sorting into one consolidated stack 3. Wrap birthday present for friend *bonus* bring rest of books into study *bonus* list today's expenses WestsideStory

Hi everyone! Done a few things: Uprighted myself Had breakfast and a biggie yesterday evening - washed all the fridge/freezer shelves and fittings Now, I'm going to start on rabbit cages. Had intentions to start yesterday, but put it off due to not so pleasant weather outside. Weather is even crappier today, but they need to be done so off to do it. I'm not going to post a 'three' on this one - I'll just turn some music on and start working, and report back later.

Wow, nice work fuzzy chow! TaDas 1. Organized ALL my knitting supplies other than a few needles (I seem to have lost my needle guage it's now on the "too find list"), but i did put it all away in ONE drawer in my craft drawers. The only thing not in the drawer are one project that wont fit (it's in it's own bag now), and the one in my book bag ready to go with me tomorrow. 2. Worked on the first of the two scarves I owe some more. It's now past the 50% done mark. 3. Put away/threw away some odds and ends, and I did wind up moving a few to the other disorganized corner, but I now have two corners of my room clean! The only disorganization in either is the paper tiger of artwork i'm keeping, but it's in it's own little bin on a shelf. 4. Worked on the coffee stain on the carpet from ages ago. The carpet in here is not in good shape but that's one of two places that bothered me greatly. I think I made some progress on it too.
The closet however...well..I put the things from the corners that belonged in the closet in the closet. We wont mention what the state of the closet is though.
ToDO 1. Take meds 2. Exercise 3. See if i can make any progress on Project M.

Hi Stressedbythemess! Well done sorting ALL the knitting work to one drawer! Awesome clearing two room corners, homing closet stuff to the closet, and making headway on the carpet stain. WTG on reaching the scarf halfway mark! The mention of 'owing' the scarf caught my eye - I don't know if you're making the scarf for a particular person or purpose, but I would hate for you to feel that working on the scarf is an obligation or burden, rather than something you enjoy doing as a hobby or interest. My apologies if I have the wrong end of the stick. Tada: Wiped out first cages Swept behind first cages Emptied remaining cages of soiled litter Sprayed out remaining cages Todo: Wipe out remaining cages sweep behind remaining cages fill cages with clean wood shavings

Fuzzy, good job on all the cage work.
And I "owe" the scarves because I offered to make one each for two friends. I really do enjoy working on them and it's very much an "informal" owing, but I did tell them I would.
TaDas 1. Washed that shower curtain liner! It's wrinkly now, but it's squeaky clean and crystal clear again too! 2. Worked on Project M. Back to - not sure if it's ogin to work, or if it's going to wind up being junk in the end. But i will finish it and see. 3. Took my meds. 4. sorted the laundry
Todo 1. Bed, i'm just too tired to do the exercising. Definately tommorow.
