On Friday, a friend of a friend will come do my vaccuming and do my wood floors in 2 rooms. My back has been hurting, and my doctor told me years ago never to vaccuum when my back was out. I really can't do this on a regular basis, but it will help for now. She is experianced and doesn't charge much either. I'll be able to do this occasionally. She also offered to do my bathroom and kitchen later on. I'm thinking about that. 3g

A slight change of plans....my friend's B/F left her, and she only works part time, so I asked her if she wanted to do it instead of the other person. She said YES right away! I'd much rather pay her and help her out than pay a stranger, and we have been friends for years. I feel real good about it too! She is coming by on monday to do it. 3g

Good on you I know the pain of a bad bad, I never realised how much you use it until it gets hurt. I find if a part of the home gets clean it kind of spurs on other parts too.

Thank you everyone. Hugs to all. My friend also offered to help me with laundry which I need desperately! Once laundry-zilla is tamed, I can get back to sorting and tossing in my bedroom! 3g

I wonder if your thread worked on me subliminally...
I just phoned a handycouple to come over tomorrow and give me quotes for several jobs I need done. I am scared of breaking my other foot (doctor said I will have a permanent lump on top forever!).
I need someone to properly move the concrete slabs, dig underneath and probably lay some sand. I also need someone to reset a post ... dig and put concrete, and then reattach the chainlink sections. Not to mention, I have to seal the driveway, clean eavestroughs, paint the porch and restain the deck.
I am always afraid of paying by the hour, but I liked the woman on the telephone. She does work for people from my church. They are going to come tomorrow to give me some ideas and quotes.
It's always so hard for me to admit that I might need help from someone else. Firstly, because I'm careful with my money. And secondly, because I like to do things myself, and my way. And thirdly, because I have troubles trusting people to do job properly.
