My dear friend, someone I've known since middle school, moved to Illinois from here in Georgia almost four years ago. She heard about my PPD and the problems I'd been having, and she drove almost two days with a 5 year old and a 5 month old to come help me out! with her help, I've really worked hard on the living room and kitchen, and I've made a HUGE dent in the room that's to be my daughters' room! I've already bagged up three full (30 gallon) bags of trash, removed several pieces of furniture, including an ottoman to a chair that no longer exists, a derelict lamp that I had illusions of repairing, and a baby gate that was chewed up by my mom's dog, but I kept for... some reason. I'm so thrilled. We've been working on it since Wednesday, shifting and moving things. We've made a LOT of progress today. Obviously, we would have done more, but we have to stop frequently to nurse our babies and tend to the older children. Mine's 2 1/2, so she hasn't quite learned the art of sharing... or really playing with other people at all. I'm so happy, and so motivated. I'm about to go take progress pics now, and will be posting those and I'll show off the finished result in the end.

Wonderful of your friend to come and help! And good for you in allowing her in, and doing all that sorting and throwing away! Woo hoo!
