I went on a search for towels and I found them. Some of them were really raggedy. I get paid this week and I plan to treat myself to some new towels... ones that will not be in a heap or under the bed or buried in crap. What a start!

Yay for you! A few years ago, I must've found 40 really raggedy, hole-y, torn towels scattered throughout my apartment. I guess I thought I had to hold on to every. single. towel. I ever had. You know, I junked them all and never looked back!
I bought three nice new sets, keep them nicely folded & stored in one place, and they are all still in good shape. What a concept :-)

For some reason, throwing away raggedy towels is really, really difficult for me. Who knows why, but it is true. I have some of the scruffiest towels on earth. I did, however, manage to toss a few washrags that I had made out of torn up old scruffy towels. , is that progress??

I'm thinking of replacing all my towels when I move in about two months. Like most of my other things, my towels are a hodge-podge collection of gently-used hand-me-downs, either from my parents or from friends. None of them match, and many of them are starting to look their age. So I'm going to invest in matching sets for my bathroom. Maybe three sets, in three different colours. That way I can do a couple of loads of laundry a week and rotate them, and they will always look nice. Not that I'm OCD about things matching and going together, nossir. ~Mouse

For some reason, throwing away raggedy towels is really, really difficult for me. Now, you know you have amnesty to throw those ratty old towels away. If it really, really bothers you to throw them away, though, and you have the time, and you promise not to just pile the towels up in a corner to take "later" ... I will let you know that your local animal shelter might be interested in taking your old towels off your hands.

Save a old towel or two for washing the car.

I have quite a few towels that are raggedy on the edges. One has a hole in the middle, too. I cut it in half and put it in the rag bucket. And....threw away two other rags.
Thanks for the nudge...I'll keep thinking about giving up the other raggedy towels!

If your old towels are just raggedy, not full of holes, and you're willing to wash them and deliver them, your local animal shelter would probably be very happy to have them. Around here, old towels are always on their wish list.

I bought 9 beautiful new towels. The raggedy towels are ready to be used as cleaning cloths. Happy, Happy!

I am inspired!
Off to throw raggy old towels in a bag for the animal shelter. (They are not ripped, just comming undone around the edges) I wonder if the would like DS beach towel it has a naked girl on it? Brand new a gift from his dad (who never takes him to the lake or pool)
But sorry animals, Any towel that is in mountwashermore is just getting pitched.
