Anyone else tried this and LOVE it? No harsh fumes and it cleans so easily. I love love love this stuff. It just feels so much safer to use around my kids and pets. Seems as though it cleans up messes easier than other cleaners as well. I haven't tried the full line of products, but the multi-purpose spray gets high marks If you haven't tried it yet, I highly suggest giving it a go. I'm gonna buy the toilet cleaner next time I'm out shopping and see how it does.

I have not heard of GreenWorks, but is it anything like the cleaner Simple Green? I ADORE that stuff! It does not do well for specialized jobs (toilet, tub, floors, mirrors) but it excels at just about everything else you can imagine and is safe for just about everything!I have used it to get stains out of carpet, laundry, clean up the kitchen counters, wipe down tables, bookshelves, chairs, even gunk off a book cover (shiney kind so a quick bit of damp wouldn't destroy it). I love the fact it's non toxic, biodegradable, child and pet safe, and i get it in big gallons of concentrate so it's not only safer, and better, but it's cheaper. I have gotten rid of at least 3-4 harmful cleaners because of that stuff!
OKay, i'll quit, i sound like an Ad now I'm sure.

suchamess, I have hard water from a well dug in red clay, and we get a wretched-looking buildup on our toilet bowl. The GreenWorks toilet cleaner works really well for me - I'll have to try the multipurpose spray!

I get the green stuff not because I'm a tree-hugger...but because it seems to be safer than those harsh chemicals.
I got something like that made by Clorox. Really good.

I will have to look for this and try it. I always want to use green cleaning solutions, but many I've tried don't work. Simple Green does work - but unfortunately for me there must be something in it that I'm allergic to. I immediately start to cough and wheeze (I have asthma). I was SO disappointed. And to think I had to go back to using harsh chemicals because they were not triggering an attack... it was just bizarre.

hey, i was concerned about why simple green left me feeling like i was going to asyphyxiate when i used it so called the manufacturer... talked to them and they also referred me to their website. i had to laugh when i read about it and their safety specs sheet.
basically what i was told and what i read was it's a surfactant.. welp. they said it was giving my throat and nose a good cleaning.
sounds like for you it's a pretty severe reaction, so not saying to go back to using it. but that it's not an unusual reaction to inhaling it.. and for me as long as i don't breath in a mist of it it's not too bad and it's extremely short term. i like the cleaner enough that it's worth a brief coughing spell that goes away as soon as i'm somewhere with ventilation...
there.. found the website- "This can cause sore throat, sore nose, sore sinuses, coughing and -in extreme cases- a tightness in the chest. Although uncomfortable, Simple Green is non-toxic and these are completely reversible symptoms. Persons with chronic asthma, emphysema, or other lung conditions should take precautions and avoid breathing in surfactant mists." simplegreen.com
sorry, trying to switch to a greener lifestyle.. and i do love simplegreen:>

If you want to see suggestions for how to make your own green cleaning materials/products -- and for information about the chemicals and toxins in commercial cleaning products -- check out: www.p2pays/org/ref%5c07/06634.pdf (also available in html) or Google "Safe Substitutes at Home: Non-Toxic Household Products." (This info and other information are available on other websites, too, if you use the words for search terms.) Glad that all of you are concerned enough to be exploring green products. A recent Sierra Club magazine announced that they are partnering with a major commercial company to produce a line of earth-friendly cleaning products. I don't remember the name of the company, but watch your supermarket shelves -- they are coming soon. WestsideStory

Yes, these are my two favorite household cleaning agents. I use baking soda instead of shampoo. I clean all my sinks with vinegar, all my countertops and stove top, too. Of course the red-clay water stains won't respond to vinegar, I would venture to guess. Don't know that for sure, since our water has no red clay in it, but it just stands to reason. When our water gets funky, not even bleach will make it non-cloudy. We simply have to wait for the water company to fix it. Then I have to scour the toilet bowls. Pumice works well to get hard water deposits and other discolorations out of toilet bowls. Pumice stone is really cheap.
