I have been hunting around to see if there are other themes or skins available to use for this site and have not found them. Am I just blind or are we stuck with the drab hard to read layout?

NVM I found it... I don't care for any of them but I found them. Is there a way to add more? I find it easier to read light text on a dark background... easier on my eyes. Leaves is the best so far I will be using that I guess.

There is, Kitrin, but it takes a lot of time for a concentrated effort, which I don't have at the moment. I'll try to get one done for you this week. Okay? Oh, and I plan to add more emoticons this week too.

My pleasure! Okay, unexpectedly I got some time this afternoon and created a new skin for those of you who prefer light letters on dark backgrounds. It is mostly dark grays and blacks with blue hyperlinks. The skin is called CloudyEvening. As AH says, you can select your "skin" by going into your Profile. Make sure you have your password handy. - Click on the "Profile" link in the forum menu bar
- On your Profile you will see the header "Member's Bio - Modify Profile - Bookmarks"
- Click on "Modify Profile" and scroll down to "Account Preferences"
- In the "Select Skin" drop down list, select the skin you want ("CloudyEvening" in this particular case).
- Type your password in the confirmation field.
- Click "Modify Profile"
Enjoy! (Eleven new emoticons available now too. Just click the 'Select Smiley' box to the left of your message area when you are typing your post.)

I've found that if I delete the password stars from the first Password: field, I can make changes to my profile without re-entering my password. For some reason, the proboards.com profile feature assumes you want to change your password and preloads your old one. I'm sure it made sense to someone at the time, but it isn't strictly needed when you make other changes to your profile.

I think the original idea was that particular page was to be used for personalizations and all edits to a person's account, including password changes. This makes life easier. Thank you!
