Well, actually I can see your friends page. And you can see mine. The only entries we cannot see are ones that are "locked-friends-only" from people that are not on the other person's friends list. We can see all public posts on each other's friends list. And we can both see all the private locked posts on each other's friends pages -- that are from people who are both friends with you and me. This is complicated in that you can keep going to any person on LJ and click on their friends page to see what sort of people they friend and read entries there. It's like a soap opera, noting who is friends with whom. And you can keep on reading interesting entries on pages of friends of friends of friends of friends ... for hours. Once I discovered this, I checked it out, but I chose to stop. -

For LJ, here's an easy way to do it: log into LJ and go to community.livejournal.com/toss_siblings/friends. That'll let you see the personal journal posts (public and friends-only, if you're a friend) for all the members of TOSS Siblings. AH, the page I get from that link says I am not authorized to view that page. Earlene, Angelina's link does work but you have to be 1) logged onto LJ 2) then go to the Toss_Siblings page at community.livejournal.com/toss_siblings/3) THEN go click on "Friends" on upper right under words "recent entries" which brings you to community.livejournal.com/toss_siblings/friendsThat will bring you to more pages of members of Toss Siblings. These are personal journal pages of people who have "friended" Toss Siblings but may not have specifically friended YOU. And also to public pages of members of Toss Siblings. _ Actually I am logged on at LJ and the AH link does not work for me. But your link does: community.livejournal.com/toss_siblings/friends Don't know why. Doesn't really matter, since I am able to find it. Interesting that you can see my friends page with my link, but I am not surprised. I can only assume that folks I haven't friended wouldn't be able to from that link. But if that's not the case, then I should probably remove that link from my previous post. But as you say, it's hard to get used to the changes and I also liked the way the Squalor Survivors blogs were set up. I noticed that proboard admin/owner has a blog here at proboards, so I thought maybe there was a way to set up blogs for other users. So far I have found nothing about it mentioned in the help technical sections of proboards, but I haven't looked extensively. There is news of a proboards upgrade coming out soon and I don't see any mention of blogs there either, so at this point I have no idea if it is going to be an option we can choose. It would be nice if it becomes an option.

The proboard blog is actually set up on google blogger. ( www.blogger.com ) There is no blog feature on proboards. blog.proboards.com/ is just a outward-appearing-URL that redirects you to their actual blog on www.blogger.com I did read the proboards support forum and the proboards blog several weeks ago. I found a notation from the president/owner whatever of proboards that - they hope to start blogs someday in the future ...
- and they also hope to host images someday in the future (so we won't have to use photobucket) ...
.. but those are far-off goals and no timetable has been set for even starting to develop the code for it. So its a "vision" or "hope" but NOT a "plan in process". (it's a vision for a distant-future upgrade, but not part of any upcoming upgrade in process). I can't find the actual citation right now, but I know I read that. If I find it, I'll come back and post the link. EDIT: Citation found .... in last paragraph of intro to proboards blog ... at bottom of page here: blog.proboards.com/2008_03_01_archive.html -

Sorry about that - there was bad formatting on the initial link. A stray . had wandered in and was causing troubles. I've edited my post, and you should be able to get there by going to community.livejournal.com/toss_siblings/friendsThat should work.
