This is the W.I.T. (Working in Threes or 3's or whatever) thread. EVERYONE IS WELCOME, even if you've never posted before!
The guidelines are simple:
- Do some little thing to make your house less squalorous. - Do one more little thing. - Do another little thing. Once you have 3 things done, post them here.
- Post the next 3 things you plan on doing. - Go forth and conquer, return and post again.
Remember - if you are tired or sick or injured or depressed or overwhelmed, you are in the right place!
If the next 15 minutes consists of:
- Looked at hopeless living room and felt like crying - Decided you could take empty pop can to kitchen - Put away phone book - Picked up fast food wrappers on coffee table and put them in trash
.... YOU HAVE ACHIEVED THREE - DOM !!!
You could post:
Ta - Da's - Took pop can to kitchen - Put away phone book - Threw away McDonald's wrappers
Then your To - Do's: - Bring plates and glasses to kitchen - Put dirty socks in hamper - Bring folded towels to linen closet and put away.
Whether you do those three to-do's, or something completely different, once you've gotten 3, come back and post. Remember to take breaks and drink water. Drinking water counts as a Ta-da!
If you can notice what the person before you did, it might cheer them up to hear from you.
Go forth, have fun, and be generous to yourself with the Ta-das. YOU DESERVE THEM!

I struggled to set up the intro today. And for some reason my avatar hat disappeared again, as had my little kitty at the bottom of the page ... don't know why. Still trying to learn.
Tiny morning tadas:
1. Got up 2. Made coffee 3. Had a small breakfast
Todos:
1. Get dressed 2. Open bedroom window and make my bed 3. Do something in the kitchen (plenty to choose from)
Have a nice day, everyone!

Morning, everybody!
Ugh. Food poisoning. Ugh. Ugh.
Any cleaning up that gets done today will be done by DH. I'm concentrating on drinking water and making it to the WC before disaster strikes. Back to bed for me.
Everyone else have a MUCH better day than I'm having. It shouldn't be hard.
I'll check back later--or tomorrow, depending.

Oh no, bluefrog! I just had food poisoning a couple weekends ago and it was miserable. Here's hoping you have a clean toilet (and simultaneous bucket if needed, yikes!) readily available and that you feel better soon!
Ta das: - rebooted wash - placed supplies order for my business - banana bread is in the oven
To do: - grab a shower - fix breakfast - get all of us ready to go and out the door in time for my meeting this morning

Bluefrog, I hope you feel better very quickly! I'm not very productive so far today, so here are my itty bitty TA-DA's so far: 1)Got up on time 2)Made coffee 3)Went to store to buy some TP and some things to make an easy lunch Athsma is continuing to kick my butt right now. I'll probably have to go see my doctor about some different samples. Advair works the best for me, but they don't give out samples of that one anymore. I called Walmart to see what they charge for it there, and it's $170.00. (less than half what everywhere else in my town is charging, but still... ) I can't quite swing that right now, and I don't have any health insurance. I'll figure something out, though. This happens to me every spring. In the long run, once our house is desqualored, there will be no more dust mite parties going on here, and that should help me a LOT! To do's 1)buy some dust masks since I'm having lung problems and need to move around or clean dusty things. 2)buy more potting soil--did not get enough yesterday. 3)Finish tomatoes. Yesterday, my son had to go to a birthday party and I was determined to get my holes dug for the tomatoes anyhow, so I went out and did it myself. It ended up being easier than I expected because there had been leaves up against the fence that acted as a mulch over the winter, and the ground was pretty soft and workable, with lots of earthworms. I have my holes dug, and wet cardboard covered with wood mulch between each hole. Once I plunk in the plants and add potting soil, I'll put more mulch down around each plant. My son is going to help me make another row of plantings this weekend, though. We need some green peppers, hot peppers and maybe some okra. Happy desqualoring!

Hi Rosebud. Thanks for starting the thread. Your post looks beautiful in the pastel stripes skin that I use! I was wondering if you are using the URLs from the old website & if that may have been the reason for losing your avatar... ya know...if the old site was down for a bit. Just was wondering if that could be a possibility...I am computer illiterate so...... Bluefrog-- Sorry to hear you are sick today. Hope it will be out of your system soon. LaughingLark--Hope you can get the meds you need soon. Madtiger--How is the new baby & Mom? MzContraire-- (Luv your name!!!) I can totally understand about the size of the plastic bag bin wonderment... They are pretty big at most the stores I've seen them at, but unfortunately...usually pretty full... And, YES!!! Things like taking lunches to work or eating healthy ones at home even take planning... and I'm not too good at that... Rose--Have a great day. Hope things go well for Mom and especially for you. I know that is difficult for you but I'll bet you are doing better with that now, eh? You have made such strides of improvement, Rose, and it has been so wonderful to read about it. Miss reading your blogs, Rose. You can do it! As Hypatia said, "Enjoy your day out, Rose" Hypatia & WEstSideStory-- I am so happy y'all are here & gettin' stuff done. Thank you! Tadas: 1)took kids to schools 2)took puppy 3)called DMom--made sure she knew my Father-N-Law's diagnosis (he was rushed into ER at hospital yesterday...going home tomorrow--Colitis). My Mom's best friend is my Mom-N-Law... The last couple months have been series of hospitalizations or so it seems between my Dad and My Father-N-Law both being in & out of same hospital. Both sets of parents have been helping each other out each time...so I think all are exhausted. (My Dad just got out of hospital last week). Todos: 1)brush teeth & hair 2)a step in the laundry process...forgot where I'm at but really need to wash two loads start to finish each day to keep up with it. 3)empty back bathroom trash CD

Sorry to here about your relatives hospital visits Cando. Looks like everyone on this post is really putting themselves first by taking care of themselves. I didn't know what to post today besides made coffee and posted, I'm leaving Sat. and am quite stuck in inaction. But because WITS I really did do something. I would have never done, let alone give credit to myself!!! tadas -called landlord (i never do that) to go over with him about the 2 fuse boxes, old house and screw in fuses, noticed 3 different amps in one box. (i was really worried about fire) He was very nice and helpful. He was also glad that I called and let him know what was going on and thanked me. -talked with friend who is cat sitting, explained to her that house is in the middle of "spring cleaning" and told here I was afraid of what she'd think. She told me not to beat myself up, her only requirement is that there's not something she'll trip on when she first walks in. That I can do and is much easier than cleaning whole house -made coffee todos - take dogs for health certificates - return movies - pick up dog poop in yard -best, artsy
