The professional organizer is coming to my home in 2 hours. When I scheduled the appointment yesterday I was kinda okay about it, but this morning I'm super-nervous. Someone is actually going to look at my mess in-depth! Ouch!
I had a really stressful evening due to extended family issues, so I'm feeling worn-out & unbalanced. There's probably no way I can get through this without feeling on edge anyway, so I just need to start fresh this morning.
Please, please, please keep me in your thoughts.

If the P.O. is anything like me, she's probably just as nervous about not making you feel uncomfortable! She's coming to give you the help you're seeking, not to judge you. If she does anything that makes you feel judged or disrespected, then she's not behaving professionally (nor compassionately) and she's not in the right field.

Thank you for the well wishes, HeyLady. 'Love your good vibes smiley! NSL, I really do believe the PO comes across as non-judgmental. As a matter of fact, she seemed to emphasize that we all have clutter & time problems. My biggest issue is that I'm pet-heavy and I know that is an out-of-the-ordinary situation. I did go over this with her on the phone, so the shock shouldn't be too bad, but for sure not what she's used to working with. She admitted that animals were out of her field but she could help me organize their supplies, which I found somewhat endearing rather than off-putting. I believe it's important that we all know our limits. I also have a call in to a dog expert but that's for another day.
I've vacuumed the tile floors, cleaned the sinks, and removed the most obvious pet hair. I'm going to vacuum the carpet now but I don't really have anything else planned.

Oh lord can I relate to the dog hair!! I jokingly tell people that if they ever want a psuedo dog just let me know and I'll make one up out of shed dog hair!! (No really if anyone here ever DOES want a fake dog please let me know... ) We only have one dog but he's a chow shepard mix, 85lbs a black fur shedding master for sure. My supplies for the pets (dog, canary, snake, fish) is now laughingly organized to the laundry room. They are spread all over the laundry room but at least they are now contained in one room as opposed to all over the house. I would love to have someone help me with this..... She sounds wonderful EBB!! Hope all goes well for you!
